ESSAY It might seem interesting to you that Bill Gates was never interested mainly in the money, because even though he was the youngest billionaire and to the present day he is one of the richest people in the world, he mentions that his main interest was his love for software, he spend his time doing something he loved and at the same time he got what many wish. It’s amazing the impact he has had, because thanks to his love for his work, he could generate so many jobs and take personal computers to the majority of the homes in the world, there’s no person that hasn’t seen or heard about a Microsoft program. All of this leads us to the fact that when you do something you enjoy you can achieve great things and even help millions by your hard work.

He was born on October 28, 1955 in Seattle, at his early 13’s he started to design his own computer programs with his friend “Paul Allen”, he made different programs, one to organize his school schedule and the other was one that could process the traffic of Seattle. This event might seem odd, but it actually started the path for him to make that almost everyone in the world could own a computer in their home uniting the people by using the technology. He studied in elite schools like Lakeside School and Harvard, with the help of his friend Paul Allen he entered the world of technology making a small group dedicated to create programs and selling them to small businesses. In 1975 he founded his own software company, Microsoft Corporation, with him as president and director.

In 1977 the company began selling the second version of their own home computer, with an original operating system. In 1981 released the IBM PC , setting the technical standards for the PC industry , later getting a new interface named Windows 3.0 in 1990. He became the youngest multi millionaire when in 1986 Microsoft began the stock market. President Bush recognized Gates' works by granting him the National Medal of Technology in 1992. In 2008 Gates retired from Microsoft leaving it as one of the most important companies in the world. In the present he’s 66 years old, he has made over 132 billion dollars, married Melinda Gates and has three children.
We chose Bill Gates because he's an expert in technology and has developed one of the biggest industries in the world, that is the computer industry, becoming one of the most important and powerful billionaires to ever live, being so, this gave him the possibility to make the world a better by founding The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It’s a non profit organization that fights poverty, disease, and inequity all around the globe.

Back in 1997 Bill and his wife Melinda founded The “Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation '' whose original purpose was that everyone in the U.S. had access to computers and libraries, but they ended up doing that and also have helped global health, development and education. As result we’ve concluded that Bill Gates has brought to humanity tools such as technology and it’s programs and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation that has helped thousands of people all over the world.
