Fire Focal Point

Meet Cherry the Establishment Fire Focal Point.

As the Establishment Fire Focal Point (EFFP), I am responsible to the Head of Establishment, through the Station Health & Safety Advisor for upholding optimum fire safety across RAF Marham and the station’s parented sites. This involves desk-based duties as well as being out in the field, auditing and investigating fire-related actions and issues. The role is cross-functional and includes liaising with a variety of sections, personnel and external agencies.

Historically I have worked in a laboratory background, being employed in a range of labs, from colour analysis to working in the oil and gas industry. This has included roles within the

Department for Environment

Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science, where I worked as Team Leader in the Organohalogens Lab.

Since 2019, I have been employed by the Ministry of Defence, initially within administrative roles. Having worked as a Laboratory Manager, I have a wealth of experience of auditing and safety matters, including fire safety regulations.

Safety has always been a paramount concern of mine, regardless of the industry. If anyone has any fire-related questions, please contact me at cherry.creed100@mod.gov.uk
