2 oz. trial size paint is available for purchase in each of the 260 Harmony Colors. The colors in each 5-color Harmony Chip are arranged by row on the rack. This innovative arrangement allows you to see how the colors of a particular Harmony Chip interact with each other.
tips for applying trial size paint • Make sure the test area is clean and dry. A dark painted wall, dirty wall, or poorly prepared area will affect the final color. For a true impression of color, start with a clean white wall.
• Protect the surrounding area and paint with care.
Remember, any change can be shocking, allow yourself the time to adjust to the color and remember to look at it in all times of the day and evening.
• Some colors may require two coats. The 2 oz. sample provides ample material to paint two coats on a 2 X 2 area.
• Allow the test patch to dry for 2 hours. As paint dries, subtle color changes occur; what you dislike upon application you may love as it dries.
• Make your choice and prepare the test area. Once you are pleased with your color choice we recommend priming the test area with Pittsburgh Paints Seal Grip Universal Primer (17-921). This ensures the test patch will not affect the look of your finished room.

Eggshell, Satin and Pearl More lustrous than flat paints, these sheens impart warmth and depth to a room, so they are ideal for areas where “living” takes place. Semi-gloss More reflective semi-gloss paints are very forgiving for stains. It’s never about just one color – decorating requires the interplay of colors and light to be appealing. Remember to use the 60:30:10 concept. Once is never enough – to create a room with interest and warmth your decorating palette should appear intentional. To achieve this, each key color must appear at least twice in a décor. Choose a unifying element – one great piece of art, fabric or tapestry that contains all the colors of your decorating palette can pull all of the other elements together, giving your space a professionally decorated feel.
Relax and adjust – don’t become shocked and overwhelmed by your finished project. Our eyes and memory need time to adjust from what they expect to see to the new décor. A drastic change may take several days before you are accustomed to your new surroundings and can embrace your new colors.
