Caring mothers, saving babies and stopping avortion
Making abortion unnecessary –Mothers are choosing life. Dear Pro-life friends and families, Sweet greetings and blessings! While preparing this newsletter, my eyes fall on a scripture written in a greetings card kept on my office table. The scripture was, “I am your creator. You were in my care even before you were born (Isaiah 44:2). As we were in His care even before we were born into this world, then definitely all the unborn babies who are going to born into this world are also in His tender care. So, it is our responsibility to have serious care and concern over the babies who are forming in their mothers’ womb fearfully and wonderfully. I am very happy that God has given us this precious ministry to do something notable in the sector of saving lives. This time also, God counted us (VOF) worthy in accomplishing some of His significant works of His kingdom. I am updating you all the blessings from God one by one. All those blessings were possible by your prayer alone.
Top story
A mother chose parenting I received an information from an owner of restaurant and bar in Old Bus Park, Kathamndu that a girl (21) is pregnant and looking for help. So, I and Ps. Hem Lal Gautam went to see the lady in crisis pregnancy. After an hour of conversation with the lady we came to know that she was deceived by a staff of same restaurant. Actually she had expected true love from him and to settle own home with him but...
We felt that she is really in big problem and needs. So, we counseled her and gave her some pro-life materials to read. As well as we gave her our contact number also and told her to contact in emergency. On 18th. May, 2012 at morning I received a call saying that she (Abina) is in maternal pain. It was Nepal strike (banda) so, we went to Thapathali Maternity Hospital by an hour of walking. Doctor told us that she has to go through a surgery. So, we signed on paper and collected bloods for her surgery. After three hours we had a cute baby girl on our bosom and mother was fine. We counseled the mother to raise her baby by herself but she couldn’t dare to choose parenting but chose to give the baby for adoption. So, we went with her decision and Ps. Hem lal Gautam decided to raise the baby. And we sent the mother of baby to Asha Nepal (AN) for her recovery and other care. After two days, again I received a call from the director of Asha Nepal saying that the mother is in constant tear and desiring to bring back her baby. It was good news for me but I had some difficulties to talk with Ps. Hem about it but later he and his wife also understood the heart of a mother and decided to submit the baby to her real mother. Today, the baby is with her mother in Asha Nepal happily. Praise God. Finally, I thank God who provided this opportunity of service, Ps. Hem and family for their heart of love, my wife Meena, my sis. Bimala, sis. Mona and Srijana for their voluntarily help and Asha Nepal for coordination. —Reported by Soman Rai
A family decided to care an unwed mother
On 24th. May, 2012 we received another unwed lady in crisis pregnancy through the contact of Sis. Reena from King’s kid Ministry. After spending a long time with the lady we came to know about her life and situation. According to her, she is an active bar dancer. She doesn’t know even the person from whom she became pregnant. When she became pregnant the owner of restaurant fired her from job and she started to live with one of her friend. But there also she didn’t get heartiest welcome and acceptance. In that tragic situation, she came to our contact and now she is with Ps. Hem Lal’s family as I have been equipping them for Pro-life ministry. Now, the lady has accepted Jesus and attends church every Saturday. Further of it, she has been receiving a parental care and love from them. And we also have a time of prayer with her and her baby in womb. A good news is she has decided to raise her baby by herself and change her profession. She is very happy and healthy. We help the lady with some commodity grants and few financial help to the family. You are also welcome to pray and support this family. Please pray for her safe delivery and life after the normality. Please pray for Ps. Hem and family as well for they have a plan to start a Mother care home (MAH) through their church.— Reported by Soman Rai
Pro-life vision building seminar in Nepalgunj- Mid-western Nepal On 1st June, 2012 VOF conducted a vision building seminar in Sisam Hotel at Nepalgunj, Banke (Mid-western Nepal). More than 110 Pastor, woman-youth leaders and key leaders from different church and organizations were participated in the seminar. The seminar was started with opening prayer by Ps. Hem Bahadur Das. Soon after the effective presentation Soman Elisha Rai presented the model of pro-life activities as church response and challenged the participants to follow same models by using the ‘LIFE BAG’ or ‘Trainer Bag’ contain of a DVD, leaders’ guide, brochures, etc. At last, participants were given a short time for feedback. We received really excited feedbacks from the participants during and after the seminar and the seminar was concluded with delicious food. I thank God for His grace during trip and seminar and Ps.
