STRENTHENING THE VALUE OF HUMAN LIFE
Greetings and blessings! Just few weeks ago I had an opportunity to attend the seminar on Cultivating Character. At that, my attention was drawn by a statement in course book, “Right is right even if everyone is against it and wrong is wrong even if everyone is for it.”- William Perm. At once, I related this statement with the issue of abortion. In fact, Pro-life is right even if some groups are against of it and Pro-abortion is wrong even if some groups are for it. Choosing what’s right is never easy but it’s always worth the cost. Come what may while doing what is right, for God is in our side, who is the designer and real advocate of life. As Psalmist says, “For you (God) created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13 NIV).
On the occasion of St. Valentine day the United Youth fellowship of Gangabu, Kathmandu and VOF Nepal conducted one day seminar on Sexual Abstinence & Pro-life education. More than 70 youths from different churches & collages were gathered there. Soman Rai the Executive Director of VOF gave teaching on Sexual Abstinence & Pro-life issue. All the participants were very excited and receptive towards the presentation.
Pro-life teaching in women leadership training center (WLTC) (21st Feb. 2013, Kathmandu) As usual, VOF was invited to WLTC under National Christian Fellowship, Nepal (NCFN) for Pro-life teaching among the 18 woman leaders from the different parts of Nepal. Soman Elisha presented Pro-life teaching with different methodology. He used Pro-life DVD of having lots of information and other additional teaching materials to make participants clear about the subject. The participants were moved and inspired to do something in their locality through the class. Two of them admitted their failure in past and we prayed for them. Life bags with DVD, books and brochure were given to the participants for the use of their ministry. Mrs. Sushma the incharge in center reported that past graduate students are using the materials given by VOF. Praise the Lord!
