STACEYIDEN
RSVP-NorthernVirginiaProgramManager
Dear Friends,
For over 12 years, RSVP-Northern Virginia (RSVP) has been integral in making public service a central part of the American experience for adults aged 55 and older in our community RSVP serves as a gathering place for older adults to socialize, participate in group service projects, and work toward the common goal of making Northern Virginia stronger, more resilient, and empowered.
Every day, children, families, older adults, and those with disabilities are struggling and forced to make difficult decisions and choices Their situations vary widely; they may be hungry, unemployed, single parents,
isolated, struggling in school, and so much more. Recognizing that these human struggles exist in our community, RSVP is proud to partner with local agencies that work tirelessly to respond to these critical community needs and provide services to support our neighbors and the challenges they face
While formal volunteerism in America is declining, RSVP has remained committed to and successful in recruiting and connecting volunteers to real needs. During this past grant year, there was significant growth in the number of volunteers providing service, the level of volunteer engagement, and then ultimately the impact that these volunteers made
Commitment through the RSVP program is unique and it’s because of the collaborative efforts of all involved Every day, volunteers roll up their sleeves and show up to lend a hand to support the diverse and impressive array of organizations and agencies that are doing great work. Thank you to all who are creating a compassionate and equitable community!
Sincerely,
Stacey Iden

“I’m so glad I found RSVP! They’ve not only helped me achieve my volunteering goals, but they’ve also connected me to organizations in my community that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise and have been a reliable source of support and encouragement as I continue to explore this phase of my life and ways to give back.”
