Easy Vegan and Candle Classes Offered

Natural Concepts Revisited, in Daytona Beach, invites everyone to a Vegan Made Easy Nutrition Course with Ash Gallagher on June 11, from 5 to 7 p.m., and a candle-making workshop with Tina Browne, from Natural Products by TMB Refill Shop, on June 18, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Attendees of the vegan nutrition course will participate in a vegan-made-easy recipe and enjoy a bit to eat. They will also learn how to plan in order to keep vegan simple, and how food serves our soul’s wellness. In addition, colors and chakras will be discussed, as well as somatic and Ayurvedic practices.

Gallagher will share stories of how she managed a healthy diet in war zones. From life as a journalist in war zones to activism and coaching, Gallagher has a unique take on storytelling, and it happens to include nutrition and wellness. Her own story with food over the past 15 years has given her a passion for how we align with what we eat and how it contributes to our mental health. Gallagher’s goal is to help others find liberation in their bodies through story.

Those attending the candle-making workshop will create their own signature fragrance from a blend of soy-based oils. All supplies will be provided, including 100% soy wax, eco-wicks and handmade concrete vessels in an array of designs. Participants will make two candles to take with them after they have cured. Wine and snacks will be available.

Cost: Vegan class: $30; candle-making workshop: $40. Location: 142 W. International Speedway Blvd. To reserve a spot for either event, call Jo Anne Staley (or Tina Browne for the candle workshop) at 386-341-5068.
