HOW IT ALL BEGAN TRAVEL THE WORLD THROUGH CHOCOLATE® Vosges Haut-Chocolat fuses spices, nuts, roots, herbs, barks and tonics from around the world with super premium proprietary chocolate. A pioneer of the exotic chocolate movements, founder Katrina Markoff, harness the power of storytelling through the medium of chocolate, opening minds, spirits and palates to new ideas. Three days following her graduation from Vanderbilt University, Katrina moved to Paris to pursue her dream of studying the culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu. Using her palate as her guide, she then embarked on a world tour that began with an apprenticeship in Spain under the direction of Ferran Adria of El Bulli. At a time when spices in chocolate were virtually unknown, Katrina added curry and coconut to milk chocolate inspired by the Naga tribes in Northeast India. Since then, she uses chocolate as her medium to tell stories of her travels, loves, and sparks of inspiration. Her wanderlust is never fully quenched.
