Chapter 0: Summary
Design learning experience about future of jobs for next generation We have seen in the past that jobs situations didn’t change much. For example we have seen policeman, teacher or accountant are exist in our whole life. But nowadays and in the future, The jobs will change more fast maybe change per 3 month by the extinction of some jobs and The emergence of many new hybrid jobs that we don't know.The report from World Economic Forum (WEF) told me that By one popular estimate, 65 percent of children entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job types that don’t yet exist, The job market of 2026 will likely look quite different from today’s career landscape, so next generation must be future-focused and prepare themselves for the future career situation At the same time. In the past, It’s have a lot of stuff to educate students to make them recognize about jobs that they will do when they grow up. But if the jobs in the future will change very fast and Unstable, How career education stuff for next generation look like in the future? after research, we found “ adaptive yourself with creativity” is the essential point to grow up in an unpredictable future. So we Design Learning experiences by using this essential point. The Learning experiences include 4 processes. (change perception --> imagine future job --> roldplay --> future skill.) And we design executions of Learning experiences for the next gen who have a variety personality.

Workshop: : Imagine future of jobs with magic machine For kids who have motivation to speculate future of jobs In the Future of Jobs workshop our aim is to facilitate children to reflect on their skills and passions in view of imagining interdisciplinary futures concerning their professional identities. The workshop consists of a series of creative activities through which the participants are encouraged to use their imagination in order to speculate future professional identities in a futuristic “think outside of the box” manner. This process includes designed prompts like the passion map template and the future worlds catalogue designed to trigger their imagination and help them initiate their own personal speculative scenarios that reflect their individual skills and interests. The “one day scenario” template serves as a creative guide aimed to help them organize their thoughts and hence start constructing a more refined view of a possible future identity. Finally, the last part of the workshop is the “making a magic machine for their future job” , an activity that allows for hands-on experimentation and unfiltered creativity which facilitates them to unlock their imaginative barriers and think outside of current professional paradigms.

Individual toy: Imagine future of jobs Collage toy For kids who want to speculate about the future of job in a relaxed way. If the workshop is too serious of someone we have another choice. create future jobs in different future world cards by using collage techniques. This execution. We have adapted the learning process to be a speculative toy by using collage techniques. Make kids feel free to imagine their jobs unlimited. The toy function is providing users to create jobs and adapt themselves in a variety of fantastic future worlds by using 6 catalogs of components to make collage on the futureworld background card. Don’t have limited time. Users can play in their freetime.
Gachapon : Job for future
For kids who don’t know much about future jobs and just want to do something fun. the new way to Inspire kids to imagine future careers by collecting the results from workshop and collage toy. then create the result to be futuristic job figure. For this execution, it comes to inspire, promote my project and make awareness to the next generation who don’t think about the future yet or be scared to think about it. This is a channel that collects the results of workshops and toys. then we visualize the result to be futuristic job concept gachapon toys. That will make kids feel curious about getting to know about the future and interest them in designing their own future jobs. push them to the next step of learning processes which is workshop and collage toy.when they receive a figure toy from the machine and they open it, they will find a piece of paper to explain what kind of future jobs that they just received. To know about these jobs they have to scan the QR code on the paper. And it will link to information about this jobs on instagram account name “jobs from the future”

This is an Instagram account name “jobfromfuture” This is a platform that collecting the results of the learning process. then visualize the result to be futuristic job concept art. And share it with kids. Make they get inspire about future

For this execution, it comes to inspire, promote my project and make awareness to the next generation who don’t think about the future yet or be scared to think about it. This is the main channel that collects fantastic jobs results from workshops that I make with daphne and collage toys. I use results to make futuristic media and post in this instagram account, then tag kids who are the owner of future job ideas to make them feel good with their idea, see their ideas in a tangible way, and make them enjoy sharing the content to their friend group or their community. It will inspire other kids and make them have motivation to create their future jobs that they like. Chapter 1: Area of interest and weak signals Area of interest and weak signals In the “Atlas of the Weak Signals” week that I studied with Mariana, It's the first time that I start thinking idea to make master project by using Atlas of the Weak Signals. So I think this process is interesting and practical because I can saw overview of future issues and area of interest also I saw connection between future issues and area of interest so it’s convenient to see intervention inside the Atlas. And another reason, it’s open view to see intervention for me more than the old way that I used to think about projects in the past. So in my Atlas, it includes Area of my interest and weak signals that I choose. Also I put my skills that I have and future skills that I would like to gain in this master degree too. This is weak signals that I choose and reason why I choose it Life after AI. The end of work • Imagining new jobs I choose these signals because it's connected with my background and project that I have done with my friend, It's also about new career issue. And in my opinion, in the future, the jobs and the way of work will change faster more than this time World Economic Forum(WEF) told me that 65% of children who are studying now have to work in a career that is currently not happening. •
human-machine creative collaborations The issue of the machine will take over human jobs. In my opinion, we can't escape from this situation but we can adapt ourselves to work with a machine or AI. So this signal, machine creative collaborations is a good way to survive in the future career. And I'm interested in imagining how machine and human work together in the future. Designing for the Anthropocene • Carbon neutral lifestyles For this signal, I have seen the project about this issue. I make me interesting to put the way to solve Air pollution problem combine with designing lifestyles products. And It looks nice.that project name is Air-ink. It is the first ink made entirely out of air pollution. After capturing air-pollution through pilot trials of KAALINK™ and other pollution sources we repurpose carbon-rich pollutants into tools for art, So, it changes my perception about how to manage pollution creatively. Fighting Anthropocene & Climate conscience I choose this signal because the Anthropocene crisis is happening now and gonna be more terrible in the future if we do nothing. So, in my opinion, a lot of people in my country doesn't have the motivation to change. It's a good chance for me to make an intervention and make people have the motivation to change such as create a project to make people have awareness, encourage people to recycle and fun with it. After the nation-state • Pick your own passport In my opinion, currently, there was the emergence of a digital nomad career. the jobs that not depend on location everyone can work in everywhere and use only laptop and wifi. This reason can take people to move around the world. So, this phenomena can make a big effect with various part of the world and make something change. I interest in the effect of this phenomenon and how to design to support them. •
Rural futures I choose the signal because I interest equality between people from the heart of the city and people from the rural area. In issues such as different habitat, different kind of career, different kind of education and different kind of society. How does it look like and how should it change the future?
Kill the heteropatriarchy • Disrupt ageism I choose this signal because of 2 reasons, the first reason is we are coming to an ageing society. Everything will be changing. We need designing to support this situation. And the second reason, In my opinion, we should not judge everyone by there ages because the world is changing. Every age should Deserve equality. On the other hand, Every age should adapt their self to survive in the future too. Life in the time of Surveillance Capitalism • Redesigning social When I come to work in the social enterprise community. so, I'm starting to interest in a social issue. For example, How community in the future is gonna look like? And How about there problem. How about the relationship between stakeholders.

Social enterprise: before I came here I done a lot of social projects that make me know I alway interest about social project and make an impact to the world also can make money too. Make people happy: when I help people and make people happy, so it makes me happy too. it’s fulfill my life. In my opinion, maybe I am enjoying doing something that related with human emotion and human experience.And I'm interested to combine this stuff with design project Popup / Event: before I came to study this master, I do social project with my friend in a variety ways. So the way that I really interesting is Popup / Event because it's a fun way to communicate and it’s tangible result that I can see feedback of the audience during the event

This is the connection that choose to do with master thesis 1.This is the connection between "Imagining new jobs" and "Pick your own passport" this connection was emergence when I brainstorm with my friends, the reason of career evolution come from story that advanced artificial intelligence until it can think like a human and can be effective to human jobs. At the same time, the migration of people around the world that affects the career change as well. Cause by the blending of talent, culture, being and earning from people in a different country. For example, mixing culture in Singapore make new selling, many hubs or coworking space for digitals nomad, Earning money from Airbnb.but actually it not just 2 signals but another signals also affects the world and careers in the future too. So when we make relationship between signals,we can know that trend of career will change very fast in the future and combine with report from World Economic Forum(WEF) that 65% of children who studying now have to work in a career that is currently not happening and The emergence of many hybrid jobs that we don't know. so I match this issue with my interest that is "education" because It makes me worry and doubt that how new generation can recognize new jobs in the future? How do they prepare for this situation?

Chapter 2: Area of intervention and description of your intervention Area of intervention and description of your intervention After I get result of atlas of weak signal and get more research about the future of jobs with next generation that I developed this topic to make my area of intervention.

So My Area of intervention is “How to make next generation can understand imagine and adapt with future jobs situation And change perception about job situation in the future that will change faster and be hybrid.” At first it has a lot of messages about the future of jobs, So I manage this messages to be 4 steps. First priority is to change the perception of the jobs in the future it will not be like this time. Second step is “imagine new jobs”. Third step is (role-play) after they get result from second step they should try with jobs that they imagine to check with them self that they like it or not. So second step and third step I’m interest to use speculative design adapt with this process. And the last step, After they try and can make decisions about future jobs that they are interested and then we make them know about future skills that relate to the job.

1. Workshop in private room with one kid (thai) • Partner: not really partner because I make with my friend from my social enterprise • Audrience: one 11 year old girl from thailand • Place: private in my house(20 square meter). I use my house because it’s easy to start an experiment. • Time: 2 hours • Ps. This workshop is have 2 version first time we make workshop with only kid and the second time we add family to be facilitators. 2. When they write the reason (why they choose this job sector and how they think about the future world) on the Question Paper it too general and it’s not useful maybe I didn't facilitate and ask questions with them. D. they feel excited when they put their hand in the black box to choose the future world because they feel like playing a game. F-G the result of future jobs and machines that they think are too general. And for Galaxia(kid who makes cupcake machines) results, it does not relate with the future world that she receives.

G. answer is too general and in my opinion, they don’t understand how to use 5W1H to create ideas and I think they look a bit boring and want to skip this process as soon as possible and Ravin and Aina, they copy each other's answers. H. they enjoy making machine tools a lot and it relates with future jobs detail processes. But the machine(Ravin,Aina) is also too general and didn't have more details. K. they are proud of the machine that they make and take it to show their family and take photos together. Fact •
Future jobs perception for kid and their parent When I finish 1st intervention. I am curious about Future jobs perception for kids and their families. I came to ask a music teacher who taught kids for 10 years to ask questions with her 8 students and their parents about future job perception. And the answers of some children make me know and understand more. • Some kids still don’t know and they don’t want to find themselves this time. • Curious and enjoyable is the first priority to study for kids. If they aren't curious or enjoy, it will be hard to educate them. • Their perception are depend on media nowaday such as youtube,ig,game,toy • Parents who are generation Y, have a more open mindset and want to support new experiences for kids to find their talent that kids will be good and enjoy, because they don’t know their kid skill and passion if they have a chance to support them to know,they want to do. • Children think that career orientation classes is very boring and useless

Join design your life workshop I have joined this workshop with 9 teenagers from university. First part of this workshop we have to choose the status that we are currently in and put the result on the board. And then we will see the common status that everyone has. And the most status that everyone be are "I will slowly find my way" and "It's too early to know what I want to do". So that means teenagers think they don’t want to choose now and want to explore a variety of choices first.

Interview adult about future career path I have talked with my classmate (34 year old) about career life. He told me now he know his skill and his passion but doesn't know which job that combines between his passion and skill. So he would like to know. So in my opinion, for adults. They need realistic.The way to adapt themself with creativity is important too for them but we can make it more realistic. And we can add connections.

This is my analysis conclusion 1. From workshops and kids interviews by teachers, I know that some kids don’t want to find themselves this time. It is the same result from design your life workshop with teenagers. So my conclusion from this topic that next generation still don’t know and they are not ready to choose now but anyway they want to explore variety choice of future jobs before decision And my first intervention is deeping and specific in one job, next time I have to try another alternative way that they can explore variety choice and more simple.
2.Curious and enjoyable is the first priority to study for kids. If they aren't curious or enjoy it, it will be hard to educate them. Design learning by playing and fun 3.Many kids would like to be youtubers, influencers, Esporter in the future. So this topic makes me realize that perception of future jobs of the new generation will depend on technology media. So next, I am interested in using technology media to be a channel for them.and this is the way to encourage them come to my learning process
4.Parents who are generation Y,X, have a more open mindset and want to support new experiences for kids to find their talent that kids will be good and enjoy, because they don’t know their kid skill and passion if they have a chance to support them to know,they want to do. In this topic I analyze that generation Y,X when they were young they have forced vision from parents and that time didn't have much opportunity to know much. So this is opportunity for me to provide new learning experience to them

2nd INTERVENTION Wongsathon Choonhavan(Luang) & Daphne Gerodimou 10/03/20 Background Story From 1intervention that I made a workshop with kids in a party and private room,it is small scale.So Now we try to scale it up to make a workshop with a lot of students (24 kids) age between 12-13 year olds in secondary school. Objective of 2nd Intervention
1.Facilitate students in school so they can use their imagination as a tool in order to adapt themselves in unpredictable future scenarios. 2.Help kids imagine a more interdisciplinary and hybrid profile in terms of profession and skills they need to acquire. 3.Understand how useful speculation and creativity is in the process of making and how we can use it in future interventions 4.find opportunity for workshops by collaborating with school. Firstly, we noticed that it could take some time for the kids to get comfortable with the idea of creative future speculation. Even after distributing the future worlds to them, that presented some speculative variations of possible futures (like robots as friends, gender variety, space travel) it was still difficult for them to think outside of their current reality. So, their first responses were not as speculative but they were based more on preconceived ideas of what a profession is, or should be. As we realised that, we immediately focused on clarifying that they don’t have to choose a profession that already exists but they can be as creative and crazy as they wanted. This is understandable, since 12 to 13 is an age that kids are not still familiar not only with the future of humanity but also with the current status of our society. So a good reference for them is to mention sci-fi films or books that they might be familiar with in order to better grasp the concept of speculative narratives. What was interesting for us was that the kids actually got more and more creative and inventive as the exercises progressed. This started with the one day scenario exercise in which they had to create a more coherent narrative of their job profile. We noticed that once they started this exercise, some of them got inspired and hence this informed and in some cases affected their job title that they had previously chosen. The same happened when they started drawing. We believe that this happened because, as drawing is a more abstract medium of expressing a concept, it liberated them from thinking in a predefined and organised manner and therefore enhanced their imagination. Evidently, their creativity and imagination rose exponentially with the making exercise. From the moment they chose their materials, they temporarily forgot their previous answers and they unconsciously started experimenting with connecting the materials in different ways. We believe that this “make before you think� process actually helped them fabricate without constraints and informed them of the previous exercises. In the end, most of them, at least the ones that had the time to present, found an inventive way to connect their magic machine with their future profession and actually came up with very clever and creative ideas. Therefore, we suspect that if they were asked to imagine again their future day scenario or even their future job profile after the making exercise, they would adapt their answers in a more speculative and imaginative way. Additionally, we noticed that even though at first, kids were more shy, more passive and silent as the exercises progressed they became more active, collaborated a lot, communicated both with us and with each other and in some cases joined forces in creating one big magic machine. Also, even the kids that were more reluctant or maybe less convinced and invested in the workshop, they were impressed and possibly changed their perceptions after hearing the presentations of the other students.

Possible variations of the process: Would it be better to move the making exercise before the one day scenario? Either kids would be more creative and therefore this exercise would be more beneficial. It is possible that it would be hard for them to concentrate in writing after doing a more physical active exercise.

3rd INTERVENTION 20/04/20
For the third intervention I would like to scale the learning process that I make into something that the user can make in individual use more time to think about the future of jobs, So I design toys to speculate about the future of jobs. For this toy, I design to make paper collage art toy. Because I think collage technique is the tool to help users imagine easier.
The toy function is providing users to create jobs and adapt themselves in a variety fantastic futureworld by using 6 catalogs of components to make collage on the futureworld Background card. Don’t have limited time. Users can play in their freetime. I didn't make components to be permanent stickers because . if they change their mind they can recreate jobs unlimited.

3rd INTERVENTION (online experiment) But unfortunately this time we have to be in quarantine .It too late to provide this toy to user So I came up with a new idea that is to make everything online, I found instagram platform have my story function that can make collage too by using sticker emoji. So I move my 3 interventions on instagram platform. Coincidentally . I intend to open an instagram account to show jobs results that are imagined by kids in the workshop. I decide to use this account to make 3rd intervention too.

In the future,a lot of things will happen to the world and will make our life change faster. For example New advanced artificial intelligence systems will become to humans life and have beyond-human cognitive abilities,In the future we will see the migration of people around the world by increasing of new nomad and some people who have to escape from there country, new technology and synthetic biology will make something fantastic,collaboration work between human and another species,Internet of things that make people can connect with everything and also make new type of crime in the internet world. Etc. all of these issues,it’s also affects human jobs in the future and disruptive changes to business models will have a profound impact on the employment landscape over the coming years.
We have seen in the past that jobs situation didn’t change much for example we have seen policeman, teacher or accountant are exist in our whole life. But nowadays and in the future, The jobs will change more fast maybe change per 3 month by the extinction of some jobs and The emergence of many new hybrid jobs that we don't know.The report from World Economic Forum (WEF) told me that By one popular estimate, 65 percent of children entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job types that don’t yet exist, The job market of 2026 will likely look quite different from today’s career landscape, so next generation must be future-focused and prepare themselves for the future career situation

In the past, It’s have a lot of stuff to educate students to make them recognize and understand the jobs that they will do when they grow up. But if the jobs in the future will change very fast and Unstable,So I have a question : What career education stuff for next generation look like in the future? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? My Area of intervention objective is “How to make next generation can understand imagine and adapt with future jobs situation And change perception about job situation in the future that will change faster and be hybrid.” At first it has a lot of messages about the future of jobs, So I manage these messages to be 4 steps. First priority is to change the perception and get awareness with the jobs in the future. It will not be like this time. Second step is “imagine new jobs”. Third step is (role-play) after they get results from the second step they should try with jobs that they imagine to check with themselves whether they like it or not. So second step and third step I’m interested in using speculative design adapt with this process. And the last step, After they try and can make decisions about future jobs that they are interested in and then we make them know about future skills that relate to the job.

Because Transferable Skills should be Driven by your Passion and not be separated from it. When we talk about education in the future Maybe the way to teach students in front of the blackboard will not work anymore and it can't catch attention for kids because they have a variety of technology media to access knowledge. We can learn every time, everywhere can be polymathic environments. In the future,Careers advice Orientation methodology will not just be in the class but it can be something more and integrate in human lifestyle. Maybe it can be edutrainment. For user,Generational alfa who were born with technology in the Disruption Era,television will not the main media anymore,in the other hand, the technology media will come to their life such as internet of toy, new social media, streaming, youtube, So Their perception about future will depend on media that they consume a lot. For example in the part kid wants to be a movie star but nowaday and in the future kids will want to be influencers, youtuber, etc .

Then we come to look at their parent ,the generation Y & generation Z who will become to be parent in the future, they will more interest for buying experience not just product and they have a more open mindset and want to support new experiences for kids to find their talent that kids will be good and enjoy, because when they was young, In that time they didn't have chance to find their self much and didn't have diversity way of skill learning like today,also some of they just follow their friend or suggestion from their parent but they realize that they don’t want to be .So, if they have a chance to support their kids to know passion and talent for use in the future,they want to do. In the other case, if in the future robots come to completely take over human jobs and so humans don’t have to work any more, humans will begin to think “what will they have to do next?” they would like to find something that makes them feel valuable. And think about themselves more than in the past. I think adaptive and creativity that I told in the first paragraph is still important too because humans have to adapt themselves and their mindset to make them happy to live in the future world.

Chapter 6: Designing in emerging contexts: COVID-19 Summarize your experience adapting the project during the COVID juncture In this situation, I have trouble doing everything in my everyday life, including my project and academic life in this master degree too. I have to adapt myself a lot. To keep going my routine and mdef master degree learning. This is the example of an issue that I observe my life in covid situation.
1.everything is close or open in a short time. It is very hard for me to buy something that makes me convenient. for example,The restaurants, I alway buy food at restaurants or shops when I don’t have much time to cook. But in this time I can’t because it close I have to cook by myself It affects my supermarket routine because I have to buy a lot of ingredients, and wait for a long time. Another place that is close and its effects with my life. It is a print service shop. Now I can't print anything to do my work anymore.

2.protect myself from everyone and everything outside my room, this is the main thing that makes me annoyed because I have to wear a mask everytime when I go out, and when I come back I have to wash my hands and change my cloth clean stuff that I buy from outside. And that make me waste my time a lot.I have to manage my time more than before and plan my activity that I have to do.
3. My project, now everything is come to online, I can't go to school to make workshops any more. Also bring my prototype to test with user is impossible too because graverment have recollection for us that we can’t go out from our house more than 500 m. I have to keep going my project by make it online.
4. Online learning. At first it is a new experience to learn behind the screen everyday. We have to try to use the zoom platform to study. It has problems sometimes when my internet signal is not good, because zoom kicks me out. But the good thing is the we have record video from class to replete somepart that we don’t understand when we finish class we don’t have walk or use transportation and it save time and money.

Mapping my domestic experimental laboratory: rethinking your design space in your new normal
This time, it’s not easy to do my project, I have to plan again about something that I still have and can take benefit with it. For Infrastructure, I have to work in my 10 square meters use Arduino kits and my computer(main staff for my project) , I found print service shop, it has open near my house. 1.Collaborate with Learnlife School to make workshop Partner: Daphne
After the last workshop, we would like to develop the workshop more and fix some problems. Then we find a school to be a place for developing workshop that is learnlife alternative school. But now we can make physical workshop so we decide to make online workshop with learnlife student. We have prepared the workshop's presentation which also includes the steps and instructions of the workshop as well as a pdf document with the workshop canvas which includes more specific information concerning the flow of the workshop and the materials needed. The presentation contains slides with images, videos and gifs (visual communication tools) that will help kids, firstly, to understand the concept and moving forward will work as guidelines for the activities. We plan to arrange a meeting after they have reviewed the presentation and the canvas so we can discuss further on the process, make changes and adapt according to your comments and suggestions. One thing that still needs to be defined is the time schedule of the workshop. We were thinking of using the first 40 minutes for the imagining up to the 1 day scenario /drawing part then have a break (continue in the afternoon or the next day according to their schedule) and have another 40 minutes for the presentations of the "magic machines" they made. My new future scenario that will be happen when I add new weak signal For the future I still believe that the job situation in the future will change very quickly and unpredictable. We will see an increasing number of hybrid jobs. “By one popular estimate, 65 percent of children entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job types that don’t yet exist,” according to the World Economic Forum’s “The Future of Jobs Report.” So the way to survive is adaptive with creativity and if jobs in the future will be more hybrid, more diverse,that means we have the opportunity to customize our future job that depends on our personality,ability,passion. So My project will use this key message to educate them. Then they will not be scared to grow up and be happy with their job in future because they already understand and are ready to face this situation. Then in the future, we will see adaptive and creative skills will become a part of future learning & future play. For example school curriculum, toy and game, youtube, VR, AR. everyone can assess the process of learning not just in school but everywhere, not just kids but every age because everyone has to be adaptive. Imagine in future you will learn something when you are 60 years old with 9 years old teacher.

Fourth audience is collaborators. They are important too because if they have another person who does something different from me but they are interested in my project and have the same attitude. They are important because they will make my project more sustainable and keep my project going. They can be sponsors who need to promote something for 1-4 audience. Alignment of Legal Norms For the legal issue. I have to come back to focus on the legal and government in my country. In the case of my project. I think nothing illegal. For example we can make workshops, make social media campaigns or sell toys. But for government thing such as Government school and Curriculum of the Ministry of Education. We can't change or put our project inside, it’s not easy to do because it has to create an agreement with a lot of people and use a long process. Normally they don’t want to change anything. Elements of the scaling & spreading process • Community & Champions The way to move my community and make the people in my community convince another person to come to my community. In my opinion I think we should have an online community to Give advice and help each other to create and custom future job workshops for their students. Also share workshop experience with each other. For example create facebook groups or join facebook groups of career orientation teachers that already exist. This group should be easy to join and share. The other target that I focus on is the next generation. I created space to collect results from the workshop. It is an instagram account name is “job for future.” I change future jobs result to futuristic media and post on instagram. Then tag owners of ideas in that post to make them feel good with their idea and share it to their friend group.it will inspire other kid make them have motivation to create their future jobs that they like. •

I found someone come to give advice to me about media that I made. Maybe some audience will saw my post in the different racist massage that I use white people and black people in the post. So next time I have to concern about it. Avoid picture that will make controversial issue. For this collage toy I test with family in Barcelona. So I get result of 2 family, first is family that have young kids(Galaxia 9 years old & Indigo 5 years old). Secord is family that have older kids (Miguel 15 years old). the result from them is different and interesting. Everyone enjoy to play Older kid, he can follow instruction perfectly but job result is too realistic , for younger kid, they don’t want to follow instruction (they don’t want to think about future jobs title) but the result is surreal and full of imagination.
Galaxia 9 years old & Indigo 5 years old For young kids, First when they saw the toys, they feel interest to play but when her mother Ask they to think about their future jobs in that world and write on it. Galaxia she tell her mother that can she just play she don’t want to write jobs title on the paper. After discuss with her mother I think maybe instruction of the toy I use wrong word that make toy too serious. So I have to change role of toy in the future. But for this experiment let they play it and ask them when they finish what is the meaning that she make collage.

The result is interesting, Although she don’t want to follow instruction at first time but the story is surreal and full imagination, out of the box. we can know about something that they interest and they perspective about future through sticker that they put on the card. For example Indigo, he put every sticker that he think it look weird or scary on the robot’s world card. he tell us he don’t want to live in this world. he scare of robot. For Galaxia, she give information more than we expect,. She love cupcake and she imagine mutant who living underwater world.
Miguel 15 years old For older kid, Miguel (15 year old)he understand the toy purpose, he can follow instruction perfectly and imagine jobs with all of future world card. The result from Some future world is interest and look fun but some of them are too realistic like real jobs that already exist. I think maybe he receive facilitate from his father too. But I think it good to know for the future to develop this prototype to convince them to think outside the box. And more enjoy with it.

The result/ reflection from Gachapon Fab Academy final project My fab academy final project that I decide to do, It’s is a part of my master project in MDEF. My master project is” How to educate next generation about future of jobs”. So the final project is the part that make awareness to the next generation or kid. This part I decide to make Gashapon toys. Because Gashapon toys is easy to understand and can make them more enjoyable. My final project are include vending machine and the toy inside.
Mock up test For start my final project first step I have to think about function and mechanic before. For my Gachapon machine, I need servo-motor-control , servo-pushbutton, resistor, and connecter. Than I try to make easy mock up of the machine to understand and to see opportunity for make real machine for example weight test, proportion test. For making, I connect every component together and coding by Arduino program, put servo-motor-control on the easy construction that I made. the result is going well machine can hold something easy.

Real Prototype For the last mock up make me know that the rotate degree of servo-motor-control is too mach. For this prototype I have to change for 180 degree to 90 degree in a Arduino and send to motor again. And then try to design construction the my component can fit inside. I try in rhino 3d program.I use rhino to make construction of this prototype and design about proportion and dimension that where is my motor where to hide the board, where to put power in my machine. Also how to assemble every part together in easy way. In this case I can’t go out to use laser cut machine so I have not cut by my hand, I create line of cut and design join to assembly. Then I print out and use this to cut the cardboard
After card board cutting. I assembly the machine my put everything together. At first it don’t have problem. The construction is look pretty good.Then when I try to put toy to test motor and mechanic. I found toy is stuck, it did’t drop from machine, I think it about construction in rotate part make toy in the rail above fall too fast and stuck. Then I put some cardboard and paper to fix in that part and it come to be ok. Than I have second problem is sometime the rotate part is stuck with construction of the rail too. So I have to cut and shape some part off to make machine go flow.

Then for servo-pushbutton, it have to change position because people can’t to pass button in that way. So I change position of button put it out of the board. And soldering with long connection to put the button on the front of the machine and for the rest of component I put on the back and make a little hold to receive the power. And test machine again.
The result of the machine is working. when I press the button the toy will come out and not stuck anymore. And the toy inside I made mockup by use tiny human figure from figure toy shop. And use package from kinder chocolate. This prototype I test with myself and mdef friend.

Final Reflection: reflect on your learning process For reflection about learning process in my project. I explore a lot of thing in this project and it’s go far than I expect. At the beginning I just interest in topic that Mariana said in the class “why not be insect in the food toy to educate next generation about future food” So that inspire me to do project about future issue education and combine with topic that I did before I come here, which is career and education orientation. And make me have question “ if career will change very fast in the future how about career toy or education thing in future look like. At first I don’t know the last execution should be. It should be toy or book or media? But the learning process put me go deep in this topic by interview every stakeholder such as kid, teacher, teenager, adult ( teacher and friend in mdef ) and try to explore buy myself with first person perspective (I learn) make me know the core of my topic which is “adaptive with creativity is the way to survive in unpredictable future” and come up with learning process of this project. That time I still didn’t know about final product but I turn my learning process to experiment space and bring every stakeholder to experience with it. then observe and ask them about opinion and that make me to analyze idea easier. I think it is good to work with a lot of people ,not just experiment with myself alone in the tiny room. I have experiment a lot with variety idea, and every time I make experiment make me know different kind of target persona in my project, for example when I made workshop with kid I found someone who interest in this issue and someone who think workshop is too serious, they just want to make something fun. This experience put me to empathy them and come up with another execution that suitable for them because I work with new generation, so I have to understand about them, I think every persona are interesting to design with. This expand boundary of my design project put me to another place that I never go before. And after I design every execution for every target persona. I found every execution are connect and fulfill with each other. It’s make my project bigger than I expect in the beginning. It will be very hard to hold everything if I don’t have everyone in mdef to help me. Thank you everyone to support my project that make me know my ability , know about something that I not good and another person can fulfill my project. It is first time that I have to connect real customer real target to collaborate with my project.
