FROM MOROCCAN SOUKS TO THE SAHARA DESERT Morocco, with its rich and interesting culture, should be high on everyone’s travel list. Centuries of foreign trade, invasion and dynastic rule have given Morocco the many different cultural influences that are evident in today's society. From the Phoenicians who entered Morocco in the 6th century BC, and the Roman occupation from about 40 AD to the formation of Islamic Morocco and the influence of Europeans in the years after, Morocco has evolved with the rise and fall of empires.

After the exotic hustle and bustle of Morocco, the islands off Africa’s west coast offer a complete change. The upland villages and volcanic landscapes of Gran Canaria are little known jewels of this charming island. Conquered by the Spanish in the fifteenth century and fought over by the Dutch and British, it was here, during a battle in 1797, that Lord Nelson lost his right arm. Another English naval hero features in the history of the Cape Verde Islands as, in 1585, Sir Francis Drake twice attacked the Portuguese forces at Ribeira Grande, the island’s capital. Portugal had occupied the previously uninhabited Cape Verde in the fifteenth century and they became an important link in the transatlantic slave trade.

CROSSING THE LINE Situated just north of the equator off the coast of Gabon, Sao Tome and Principe is a Portuguese-speaking island nation in the Gulf of Guinea. The sublime laid-back tempo of the islands is enhanced by a wealth of natural attractions: miles of palmfringed beaches, large areas of rainforest, mellow fishing villages and excellent birdlife. You can also experience a true island paradise with a beach party on the wonderfully named Bom Bom Island. With its pristine beaches and crystal clear waters, this tiny islet on the northern shore of the volcanic island of Principe is a hidden gem.

As Aegean Odyssey sails south, she passes over the Equator and this event will be marked – as maritime tradition demands – by the Crossing the Line Ceremony.

THE SKELETON COAST TO SOUTH AFRICA GAME RESERVES

MARITIME TRADITIONS – SOUTH TO THE CAPE OF GOOD HOPE As Aegean Odyssey makes its way south to Cape Town, it is the perfect time to remember one of the great companies from the Golden Age of shipping. Union-Castle operated a fleet of passenger liners and cargo ships between Europe and South Africa from 1900 to 1977. Some of the most elegant ships ever built made up Union-Castle’s fleet and they were well known for the lavender-hulled liners with red funnels topped in black. Union-Castle ran on a very strict timetable: every Thursday at 4pm one of their Royal Mail ships would leave Southampton bound for Cape Town and at the same time, a Union-Castle Royal Mail Ship would leave Cape Town bound for Southampton. Back on the mainland and the remarkable country of Namibia. With its unique landscapes and turbulent colonial history, Namibia is one of Africa’s “must-see” destinations. This reputation will be confirmed at both your Namibian destinations: Walvis Bay on the Skeleton Coast with its incredible lagoon and unique marine life and the German colonial port of Luderitz sandwiched between the barren Namib Desert and the windswept South Atlantic coast. Although we have become somewhat accustomed to seeing Africa's magnificent wildlife on our televisions, there is nothing comparable to coming face-to-face with one of the savannah's "Big Five" (lion, Cape buffalo, elephant, leopard and rhinoceros). In South Africa, you will have the opportunity to come up close to these wonderful animals with safaris in three of the country’s top game parks (see page 27). South Africa also boasts many other magnificent attractions including the charms of Cape Town and the beautiful Garden Route.

The location of Cape Town, known in South Africa as the Mother City, is one of the world’s great sights with its backdrop of the majestic Table Mountain and its stunning South Atlantic coast. It is a place of great creativity, culture and history. It is also famous for its proximity to the marvelous vineyards of the Stellenbosch Valley and the Cape Winelands region. Another nearby marvel is the Garden Route which runs along the coast where the mighty Atlantic and Indian oceans meet and features a unique landscape of native flora. In this remarkable country you will also visit Durban and the nearby Zulu nation. Here you will not only be guided through the fascinating but bloody history of this most famous of African peoples but also experience their vibrant culture.

ISLANDS OF THE INDIAN OCEAN On this leg of the cruise, Aegean Odyssey calls at magical tropical islands: French Mayotte in the Comoros and Mahe, Praslin and La Digue in the Seychelles. Here you will find the finest white sandy beaches in the Indian Ocean, warm waters and beautiful colonial architecture. The perfect places to slow down and relax.

LANDS OF WONDERS Southeast Asia and India are two of the world's most popular tourist destinations, and for good reasons.

Many of the countries here have it all: a tropical climate – warm all year round, fascinating culture, wonderful food and charming people. It is also home to dynamic cities such as Singapore and natural wonders including the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand. It’s rich history has left a legacy of breathtaking architectural and artistic treasures. You will visit massive ancient temples, elegant mosques, historic churches and mysterious ruins – the diverse nature of Asia’s history is forever on display.

INDIA: EMPERORS AND EMPIRE On the land tour of the fabulous Golden Triangle in India the time of the Moghul emperors and the Age of Empire will grasp your attention. The great monuments from these times including the forts and palaces of Jaipur, Lutyen’s great monuments of the British Raj in Dehli and, of course, the Taj Mahal in Agra will inspire and delight. The magnificent sites of the Indian Subcontinent have been attracting travelers for centuries but another Asian country that his home to equally marvelous buildings, temples and

monuments has only recently begun to open up to visitors from the west. Burma, or Myanmar as it is now known, is rapidly becoming one of the most desired of destinations and with good reason.

BURMA: A WORLD APART ‘This is Burma’, wrote Rudyard Kipling. ‘It is quite unlike any place you know about.’ How right he was: more than a century later Myanmar remains a world apart. Visitors to Burma will discover a place where people are still attired in traditional

dress and that feels like a corner of Asia that has changed little since British colonial times. It’s also a country of many incredible sites such as the 4,000 sacred stupas (sacred Buddhist mounds) scattered across the plains of Bagan and the golden Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon, formerly Rangoon. This is a truly remarkable place where holy men are still revered and western technology has yet to dominate. It is these great buildings and monuments that have captivated visitors to Asia for centuries.

TAJ MAHAL: THE GREATEST LOVE STORY Shah Jahan was the son of Jehangir, the fourth Mughal emperor of India and the grandson of Akbar the Great. In 1612 he married the Persian princess Mumtaz Mahal and on becoming Emperor in 1628 bestowed his beloved wife with the title of Mumtaz Mahal, "Jewel of the Palace." In 1631, Mumtaz Mahal died in childbirth and Shah Jahan promised her that he would never remarry and would build the richest mausoleum ever seen over her grave. He proved to be a man of his word and it took 22 years and the labor of 22,000 workers to construct the monument. When Shah Jahan died in 1666, his body was placed in a tomb next to the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal and this magnificent monument came to be known as "Taj Mahal."

TREASURES OF THE RED SEA The extraordinary achievements of man from very different ages are the highlights of this leg of the voyage. As the historian Paul Johnson tells us, the Egyptians “were the first people on earth to create a nation-state. This state served as the framework of a culture of extraordinary strength, assurance and durability which lasted for 3,000 years and which retained almost to the end its now unmistakable purity of style. In the Egypt of antiquity, state, religion and culture formed an indisputable unity.” The great legacy of this most fascinating of cultures comes to life as

you visit Luxor – the ancient city of Thebes – with its vast temple complex and the pharaonic tombs of the Valley of the Kings. As well as the city of Petra, Jordan is home to some of the most extensive and well-preserved Graeco-Roman ruins at Jerash.

TRANSIT THE SUEZ CANAL And then there is the more modern marvel of the Suez Canal. Opened in November 1869 after 10 years of construction, the 120-mile long canal allows ships to travel between Europe and Asia without navigating around

THE LAND OF WHALEBONES AND SHIPWRECKS The Skeleton Coast is the northern part of the Atlantic coast of Namibia and South Angola. The Bushmen of the Namibian interior called the region "The Land God Made in Anger", while Portuguese sailors once referred to it as "The Gates of Hell". The name “Skeleton Coast” was coined by John Henry Marsh as the title for the book he wrote chronicling the shipwreck of the British cargo liner Dunedin Star that ran aground here in November 1942. Since the book was first published in 1944 it has become so well known that the coast is now generally referred to as the Skeleton Coast and is given that as its official name on most maps today.

A RELAXED ATMOSPHERE ON BOARD Evenings on board There will be a string trio, pianist and vocalist, casual dancing before and after dinner, and there will also be performances by some of the best local entertainment. Resort casual is the general recommendation, however, there may be occasions where a jacket for men and cocktail attire for ladies may be worn.

Fine duvets, covers and sheets, ample soft pillows and quality towels can be expected and your cabin steward is always ready to make changes if you desire. Language on board The ship’s language is English and you can expect fellow passengers to be from the US, Canada, UK and Australia, with a sprinkling of enthusiasts from Europe and the Far East. Technology We ask that mobile phones and laptops be used discreetly in the interest of fellow passengers. The internet room is always open for those who cannot resist contact with the outside world. Children Our cruises are destination focused and not designed for children under the age of 12. Tipping Always a difficult subject. Our pre- and post-cruise land stays allow you not only to relax after a long flight but also to experience some of the world’s most vibrant and exciting cities. A mixture of full-day or half-day shore excursions is included in all our ports of call. When the major sightseeing experience requires a full day excursion such as Kandy in Colombo, the ancient city of Aphrodisias in Turkey, and some of our South African safaris, we have included it.

On occasion, we will also offer prebookable optional excursions, some with limited capacity as flights are involved. These include the Burmese royal capital of Mandalay and the magnificent pagodas of Bagan from Yangon (Rangoon). HLUHLUWE GAME RESERVE Perhaps the main attraction of Hluhluwe is its population of rare white rhinos, a species increasingly under threat of extinction due to poaching for the Chinese medicine trade. SAVING THE WHITE RHINO Saving the white rhinos from extinction is one of the greatest success stories in conservation history. In the early 1890s there were only about 20 white rhino left in the world, all of them existing in Hluhluwe. Today, there are over 1,600 in the reserve and many others have been relocated throughout the world. As the home of Operation Rhino in the 1950s and 60s, the Park became world-renowned for its white rhino conservation. The success of this program has recently been compromised by the increase in rhino poaching within the park. This recent threat has not only become a great concern for the park, but for rhino conservationists countrywide.

On granite-peaked Mahe there is a quaint, ramshackle charm to the tin roofs and broad verandas of Victoria, the capital. You will spend the afternoon exploring the island, visiting the massive reclining Buddha and museum. Malacca was the capital of the Malacca Sultanate and was the center of the Malay world in the 15th and 16th centuries. It fell to the hands of the Portuguese in 1511 and centuries of colonization by the Portuguese, Dutch and the British have influenced the architecture of the town. This rich history will come to life as you tour the main colonial sites including the ruined Portuguese fort “A Famosa,” St Paul’s Church that overlooks the Malacca Strait, and Dutch Square. SINGAPORE – CITY OF LIONS Singapore could be said to be the city that Sir Stamford Raffles built. It was his vision that identified Singapore as the perfect port for British trade and in 1819 he persuaded Sultan Hussein to cede it to the British. Singapore’s fortunes flourished until it fell to the Japanese in World War II but, after post-war independence, the energy and dynamism of Singapore’s people created one of the great modern cities of Asia.

OMAN – MUSCAT AND SALALAH The 16th-century Portuguese admiral Alfonso de Albuqueque described Muscat as a “very elegant town with very fine houses,” and his description of the capital of Oman still holds true today. The old town is dominated by two great stone forts, Al Jalali and Al Mirani, which were built by the Portuguese in the late 16th century, and on the waterfront stands the Sultan's imposing palace. AMMAN, ANCIENT PETRA & THE SUEZ CANAL Citadel Hill in Jordan's capital Amman is the site of an impressive concentration of antiquity including 2nd-century AD Temple of Hercules, the Omayyad Palace and Bronze and Iron Age remains. Graeco-Roman Jerash was built by Alexander the Great in the 2nd century BC and was a flourishing city of the Decapolis, the league of ten Roman cities. The city lay untouched for centuries and is very well preserved – you can see colonnaded streets, temples and a theater which once held 5,000 spectators. Your drive to Petra takes a scenic route via the Dead Sea – pause for lunch and take a dip in the sea's salutary buoyant waters. Your first glimpse of the ancient rose-red city of Petra is one you will not forget, as you emerge from the mile long path that winds between two overhanging cliffs to stand in front of the impressive colonnaded Treasury. Embarking Aegean Odyssey in the port of Aqaba, you can relax as the ship cruises the Red Sea and enjoy a daytime sailing through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean.

THE PARTHENON: AN EXPLOSIVE HISTORY The year 1687 was not a good one for the Parthenon. Ottoman Athens was under attack from the Venetians and the Turks decided to sequester their ammunition within the thick walls of the Parthenon. The Christian forces under the command of a Swedish general Count Koenigsmark, subjected the temple to a prolonged bombardment and unfortunately, the artillery hit the bulls eye. The resulting explosion destroyed 28 columns and much of the internal structure, and further catastrophic damage followed as the triumphant Venetians botched an attempt to remove the surviving figures of the west pediment.

CYPRUS TO TURKEY’S CRUSADER COAST & RHODES A short journey from Limassol takes you to the Graeco-Roman city of Kourion. With breathtaking views over the Mediterranean, Kourion contains some remarkable monuments including the vast 2nd-century AD stadium and the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates. Then to Antalya in Turkey and the Hellenistic city of Perge and the ancient Roman trading town of Aspendos with its beautifully preserved 2nd century AD Roman theater.

The next port of call is Rhodes and a chance to explore the Old Town and Citadel of the Knights of St John. Also available during our call at Rhodes is an optional trip to the Acropolis at Lindos. From the Turkish port of Kusadasi, a short trip by road takes you to the magnificent ruins of Ephesus and its “terraced houses of the rich.” Also included is a full day excursion to the remarkable ancient city of Aphrodisias. SACRED GREEK ISLANDS The next port of call is Delos, the paramount religious sanctuary of the ancient Greek world. The tour explores the island’s temples and, of course, the famous lion statues. Nearby Mykonos, with its lively cafes and shops, is the perfect contrast. On arriving in Santorini you take the short drive to Akrotiri. This ancient Minoan outpost is a truly remarkable site and the excavations include the remains of a sophisticated civilization dating back to the 16th century BC. CLASSICAL ATHENS Your 2-night hotel stay in Athens includes a full morning's guided tour of the city's ancient citadel, the Acropolis. Built during the "Golden Age" of Athens between 447-438BC, the Acropolis represents the magnificent achievements of Athenian culture. GENERAL INFORMATION THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION AND VISAS All information provided below pertains to US and Canadian citizens only and is valid at the time of printing, October 2014. Specific information for your cruise and land program will be provided at the time of booking. Please also refer to the applicable government website for any updates to this information. Requirements for other nationalities can be obtained from the consulates of the countries to be visited on the specific cruise and land program. It is each guest’s own responsibility to ensure that they have the required documentation prior to travel. Failure to produce the required documentation at embarkation may result in denied boarding and any expenses incurred as a result are not the responsibility of Voyages to Antiquity.

PASSPORTS Full passports are required and must be valid for a minimum of six months after the last day of your vacation. Special Note: Guests on itineraries which include calls to Arab countries and that may have an Israeli visa or entry stamp in their passport are strongly encouraged to obtain a new passport prior to travel. This is simply a recommendation and is not a requirement.

VISAS At time of printing, US and Canadian citizens need to obtain prior to departure a visa for Sri Lanka and a multiple entry visa for the cruises featuring India. Egypt When arriving to Egypt by sea on board Aegean Odyssey, Voyages to Antiquity will obtain the visa on your behalf and add the cost to your on-board account. At least 90 days prior to departure, we must have the following information relating to each

passenger: full name (as it appears on passport), address, nationality, date and place of birth; plus passport number, expiration date and date and place of issue. Guests cannot be included in any ship-issued group visas if this information is not supplied by the required time.

HEALTH As health regulations are ever changing, we recommend that you consult your doctor or your local health department at least 10 weeks before your intended departure to check the latest requirements for the countries you will be visiting. Upon receiving pre-documentation materials, we will advise you of any mandatory vaccination requirements. Any guest arriving at the airport/port without the correct certificate will be refused permission to board and any expenses incurred as a result are not the responsibility of Voyages to Antiquity. Depending on the itinerary, guests should consult their doctor regarding the possibility of taking a course of anti-malarial tablets prior to their departure. Yellow fever inoculations are required only when arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission – please consult your doctor before traveling. There is a well equipped medical center staffed by a doctor and licensed nurse for the benefit of both the guests and the crew. The medical center is primarily intended to provide acute care for illness and accidents that may occur while on vacation and is not intended to provide long term care for patients with chronic illnesses or as a substitute for regular health care. Charges apply for consultations, prescriptions and cabin visits. Guests that require regular treatments or testing of any kind during the cruise and land program must advise Voyages to Antiquity at the time of deposit.

Voyages to Antiquity has the right to refuse or revoke passage to anyone who, in its judgment, is in a physical condition that is beyond the care that can be provided or made available.

PRIVACY POLICY Voyages to Antiquity requires all guests to provide full passport details, including addresses and next of kin information prior to issuance of final documentation. The personal information provided to the company is only shared as required by government regulations to the local authorities for the purposes of customs, visas and immigration clearances. The information may also be shared with certain suppliers of your travel arrangements. It should be understood that when making your booking you agree to your personal information being passed on as described above. You may also receive marketing communications from Voyages to Antiquity unless you indicate otherwise.

SPECIAL NEEDS The cruises and land programs featured include extensive sightseeing which may involve walking on uneven surfaces, up and down multiple stairs, and require a certain level of fitness and mobility. Some ports on the itineraries may require disembarkation of the ship with the ship’s or local tenders. Please consider these issues carefully prior to booking. There is one cabin specifically adapted for wheelchair use; however guests must bring their own collapsible wheelchair dimensions of which must not exceed 26” wide. Motorized scooters of any kind are not able to be accommodated on board Aegean Odyssey. Guests that need to travel with medical apparatus including wheelchairs, portable CPAP’s, and orthopedic devices must advise Voyages to Antiquity, in writing, at the time of

deposit. A doctor’s statement of fitness may be required. All guests need to be self-sufficient and have an able-bodied guest traveling with them to take full responsibility for any assistance that is required. Important Notice: Failure to advise Voyages to Antiquity as required may result in denied boarding and no refunds are provided for such incidents.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS Please advise us at the time of booking of any special dietary restrictions or specific food allergies. Guests with specific food allergies must advise Voyages to Antiquity in writing at the time of deposit, and while all possible is done to meet the requirement(s), the guest is expected to exercise due caution when dining, either on board or during pre-, post-, or full-day excursions. The ship can meet most general requests such as low cholesterol, diabetic, and salt- or fat-free. While all dietary requests are provided to our local suppliers and hotels in advance Voyages to Antiquity cannot guarantee fulfillment on included meals at hotels or local restaurants on pre-, post- or full-day excursions.

SMOKING Smoking is only permitted on Belvedere Deck aft. Smoking is prohibited in all other areas including cabins, balconies, and on excursion motorcoaches. All included hotel rooms are requested by Voyages to Antiquity as nonsmoking; however this is not always possible and Voyages to Antiquity cannot be held responsible if the guest’s preference is not available on arrival.

CURRENCY, PAYMENTS AND GRATUITIES ON BOARD A “cashless” system is operated on board Aegean Odyssey with all purchases charged to your cabin account. The final account can be settled in US$ or UK£ at the end of the cruise. Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards, and Travelers’ Checks can be used for settlement; however American Express cardholders will be charged a 2% surcharge. Personal checks and debit cards cannot be accepted. Gratuities for the services you receive on board Aegean Odyssey from your cabin steward and dining room staff are included in your cruise fare. Naturally, guests at their own discretion may wish to show their appreciation to individuals offering exceptional service. Please note that a service charge of 12.5% is automatically added to your account for any bar service.

ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES Cabins and suites feature European 2-pin round outlets with 220 voltage. Hair dryers are provided in your cabin and electric rollers, curling irons, electric shavers, and other small appliances can be used. Adapters/converters are available on board for conversion to 110 volts if required; however, we recommend you bring your own in the event supplies are limited. For safety reasons, travel irons are not allowed.

LAUNDRY AND PRESSING Valet service is available for laundry and pressing. A laundry bag and order form are provided in your cabin.

COMMUNICATIONS Aegean Odyssey is fitted with the latest satellite communication technology and direct dial telephones in all cabins. There is also an internet center on Belvedere Deck and charges are based on connection time.

CHILDREN Voyages to Antiquity cruise programs are destination focused and designed for adults. There are no facilities for children on board Aegean Odyssey.

DINING ARRANGEMENTS Dining arrangements on Aegean Odyssey are flexible as both restaurants have an “open seating” policy with meal times arranged to suit the ship’s time in port and the shore excursion programs. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Terrace Café, while lunch and dinner only are available in the Marco Polo Restaurant. On days when full-day shore excursion tours are operated, lunch will only be available in either the Terrace Café or Marco Polo Restaurant. Reservations can be made for dinner in the Marco Polo Restaurant.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS General The following provisions apply to the booking of your Cruise, or Cruise-Tour and are the terms and conditions that apply upon the acceptance of your deposit by Voyages to Antiquity. They also cover any hotel or air arrangements made on your behalf by Voyages to Antiquity. By making a reservation and paying your deposit you agree to be bound by the provisions contained herein and to accept the terms and conditions of the Voyages to Antiquity Passage Contract (cruise ticket), a copy of which may be obtained from your Travel Agent or from Voyages to Antiquity. The provisions herein contain important information on cancellation by the guest, changes in the itinerary, the limitations and exclusions of liability on the part of Voyages to Antiquity, the operator of the vessel and of independent contractors, the health and immigration requirements that are your responsibility, and other relevant terms and conditions. Deposits and Payments A 10% deposit is required within 7 days of booking or sooner as noted on your confirmation invoice. The final balance is due no later than 90 days prior to sailing. Guests who do not make required deposits or final payment at appropriate times are subject to automatic cancellation without notice. Cancellation penalties as indicated on the invoice or as set forth in these Terms and Conditions apply (see Cancellation Policy). American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, travel agency checks, and personal checks are accepted for deposits and final payments. Third party credit card charges can be accepted only when accompanied by valid authorization to charge from the relevant card owner. Travel Protection We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive Trip Cancellation/Interruption Protection Plan for the full purchase price of

the cruise as well as any air and/or land arrangement costs. Cancellation Policy A full deposit refund is only made when cancellation notice is provided to Voyages to Antiquity no later than 120 days prior to the scheduled departure date. Any refund of payments will only be made by the same method as received. Guests who cancel for any reason including medical reasons are subject to the following cancellation fees per person based on the total charges made for the Cruise or the Cruise-Tour, plus any fees related to the early confirmation of air travel (said fees to be determined at time of cancellation): Number of days before sailing

Changes to a Reservation Changes to a reservation at any time, including air and hotel arrangements confirmed by Voyages to Antiquity, may result in an assessment of administrative fees and service charges by the third party supplier(s) and is beyond the control of Voyages to Antiquity. Guests are responsible

for any additional costs incurred as a result of these changes. Some changes, including name changes, may be considered cancellations and applicable fees will be assessed. Itinerary Changes The cruise and tour programs featured in this brochure are planned many months in advance. Occasionally changes have to be made to the published itineraries both before and after bookings are confirmed as circumstances beyond the control of Voyages to Antiquity (force majeure), may require us to correct information in the brochure that appears by error or omission. Most changes are minor but occasionally a “significant change” must be made. A “significant change” before departure is deemed to be a change to the initial embarkation or disembarkation port to a different geographical area or a change in the duration of your cruise and tour program by more than 12 hours. Ports of call or timing changes in ports of call are not considered to be “significant changes.” Voyages to Antiquity shall have no responsibility or liability for any loss, inconvenience, or expense incurred by guests as a result of any changes or cancellations whether or not the changes are a “significant change.” (See further terms relating to changes and cancellation found in the Passage Contract.) A cruise may be canceled for reasons of force majeure (including but not limited to war, civil unrest, natural disasters, and adverse weather conditions) or in the case a governmental organization issues a specific travel warning in the area where the cruise is to operate. We also reserve the right to cancel a cruise at any time up to ten weeks before sailing if we consider there are insufficient reservations for the cruise to be viable. If a “significant change” or decision to cancel a cruise is made, you or your Travel Agent will be advised as soon as possible about any alternative arrangements available. You can choose to accept

these arrangements or cancel with a full refund. In the unlikely event that a ‘force majeure’ event occurs or a travel warning is issued, after a cruise has started, Voyages to Antiquity shall not be liable to pay any compensation for any changes in itinerary or omitted ports of call or shortened or lengthened stays in any port or ports other than refunds received by our suppliers. The ship’s captain is responsible for the safety of the ship, passengers, and crew and has absolute discretion in making any alterations to the itinerary that he considers necessary. Independent Travel Arrangements Voyages to Antiquity is not responsible with regard to air or land travel or accommodation arrangements made using non-refundable, restricted travel or frequent flyer air tickets or frequent traveler hotel accommodations. This exclusion of liability includes the consequences of delays in the arrival at any airport, hotel, or port location that may occur when guests are using independently arranged air or land travel or when changes in travel arrangements may need to be made due to changes Voyages to Antiquity may make to the embarkation or disembarkation ports and the time of embarkation and disembarkation. The Passenger Ticket/Passage Contract contains full terms and conditions for these exclusions. Final Travel Documentation Travel documents including any air tickets are issued only after passport details have been received and final payment has been made to Voyages to Antiquity. In most cases the final documentation is sent no later than 21-30 days prior to scheduled departure. It is the responsibility of the guest to verify that the full name(s) on any cruise, land, or air arrangements and reservations are the same as listed on his/her passport. Voyages to Antiquity is not responsible for cancellation or pre-bookable fees imposed by any supplier due to incorrect names provided by the Travel Agent or guest.

Responsibility The responsibility of Voyages to Antiquity and the operator of the vessel is strictly limited according to the Terms and Conditions set forth in the Passage Contract that you receive prior to embarkation. You are urged to read the Passage Contract carefully. A sample is available to be mailed on request or can be viewed and printed from the Voyages to Antiquity website at any time. Transportation onboard the ship is provided solely by the ship operator and pursuant to the Passage Contract. Voyages to Antiquity reserves the right to accept or decline any person as a guest for any reason. Voyages to Antiquity shall not be responsible for any act, event or omission during the time passengers are not aboard the Voyages to Antiquity vessel. Voyages to Antiquity acts only as an agent for the supplier of off-ship services such as airlines and other off-ship transportation carriers, meals, shore excursions, accommodations, air ambulance and shore-side physicians. Guests agree not to hold Voyages to Antiquity, its owners, agents or representatives liable for any loss, injury, expense or damage which results directly or indirectly from any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise, of any third party person or firm which is to, or does provide goods or

services in connection with the trip or any available option. Without limiting the foregoing, Voyages to Antiquity shall have no liability to passengers for the quality of services at, and the condition, cleanliness or safety of a hotel, housing facility, or conveyance, or for any transportation delay, including but not limited to liability for inconvenience, shortened vacation time, additional expenses, or any other kind of damage. Voyages to Antiquity expressly disclaims all responsibility of any nature whatsoever for any loss, damage or injury to property or person resulting from air, rail, motorcoach or any other form of transportation other than that actually provided by the Voyages to Antiquity vessel. Air Transportation Voyages to Antiquity does not operate, control or supervise any airlines and shall have no responsibility for carriers failing to meet schedules whether or not air tickets were issued by Voyages to Antiquity or its designated vendor. Voyages to Antiquity is not responsible for any expenses or consequences relating to air transportation that results from causes including but not limited to inclement weather, strikes, flight cancellations, changes/delays in the shipâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s schedule or a change/delay in schedule or routing made by a guest, travel agent or airlines. Any changes,

including cancellations, requested by a Travel Agent or a guest to a confirmed flight reservation or issued ticket will incur an administrative fee. Any additional costs incurred by Voyages to Antiquity including penalties are made at the guestâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s expense. Any charges imposed by an air carrier to Voyages to Antiquity after an air reservation is confirmed due to provision of incorrect name(s), or increase in airline related fuel surcharges, will be added to the total cost of your cruise or Cruise-Tour. If an airline ticket issued in conjunction with a Voyages to Antiquity air program is lost the guest is responsible for the full cost of replacement. Airline tickets are only refundable to Voyages to Antiquity and the amount of any refund owing to the guest, is determined by Voyages to Antiquity. Services provided by Independent Contractors All shore-side tours and services described in this brochure or on the website including air, hotel, transfers and excursions are provided by independent contractors. Voyages to Antiquity acts solely as ticketing agent for all shore-side activities and has no legal obligation or liability of any kind to guests for acts or omissions in connection with or arising out of arrangements with independent contractors, including but not limited to airline carriers, ground/tour operators, and hotels since they are neither agents for nor employees of Voyages to Antiquity. Guests with Special Needs The cruise and tour programs featured in this brochure include extensive sightseeing and to fully participate each guest must be reasonably fit and have no walking difficulties. Whenever possible Voyages to Antiquity will try to accommodate guests with special needs as long as the mobility issues are not an impediment to others on the guided tours. For complete policy details, refer to the General Information section of this brochure or to that section of the Voyages to Antiquity website.

Luggage Handling All luggage must conform to and will be handled in accordance with the regulations and restrictions of airlines, government security requirements, and third party suppliers. Individual Airline charges or fees relating to checked and carry-on luggage are the guests' responsibility. Applicable fees and charges can be found on each airline's website. Charges and fees relating to the carriage and handling of luggage excluding porterage at Voyages to Antiquity's included hotels or porterage at the pier and to/from the Voyages to Antiquity vessel are the guest's responsibility. Voyages to Antiquity reserves the right to search guest luggage at any time and to refuse any items that might be considered dangerous. All hand-carried luggage and personal effects are the responsibility of the guest at all times. Voyages to Antiquity is not responsible for the loss or damage to guest luggage. Luggage insurance is strongly recommended. Please refer to the Passenger Ticket/Passage Contract for the full details of the Voyages to Antiquity Luggage Policy. Tipping on Board Please note that gratuities for cabin and restaurant staff on board Aegean Odyssey are included in your fare. However, a service charge of 12.5% is automatically added to your account for any bar service.
