A WARD-WINNING VOYAGES TO EXCEPTIONAL DESTINATIONS
Whether you’re cruising around the Mediterranean or along the rocky outcrops of Great Britain and Iceland, there’s a wealth of inlets, islands, rivers and coastline to explore aboard Aegean Odyssey. Bigger ships can sometimes struggle to reach certain destinations. It’s here that a smaller ship like ours can get you right into the heart of those other interesting places lying just off the beaten track. With an average of only 350 passengers on board, our informative guest speaker programme and guided shore excursions are comprehensive but not oversubscribed, just like the rest of our ship, making it easy for you to find your own perfect balance between avoiding the crowds and socialising with like-minded people.

SHORE EXCURSIONS & SPECIAL EVENTS
EXCEPTIONAL TOURS ASHORE INCLUDED IN YOUR FARE Your time on land is an integral part of every Voyages to Antiquity cruise, which is why, wherever possible, we include shore excursions to all ports of call as part of the price. On occasion, however, we may feel that your time is better spent exploring independently, such as on the island of Mykonos, which is a perfect place to simply relax and people watch from a café overlooking the ocean. But in the main you will have an abundance of outstanding guided sightseeing programmes to choose from, including trips to the Acropolis in Athens, Pompeii, or the geothermal fields of Iceland, to name just a few. On each tour you will be provided with a QuietVox headset, allowing you to hear your guide clearly at all times, even in the noisiest of sites, thus helping to ensure that each visit is as memorable as possible. Please note: some tours can be strenuous, so a reasonable level of fitness is required. The daily on-board journal will indicate the suggested level of fitness for each excursion.
Exclusive Special Events An evening in Venice – private evening visit to St Mark’s Basilica with special lighting illuminating the spectacular mosaics. A taste of Morocco – during the visit to Fez enjoy a typical Moroccan lunch at a private palace originally built as a home to a Moroccan grand vizier. Sicily’s palatial splendour – in Palermo, there will be an opportunity for a private visit to Palazzo Gangi, the magnificent Baroque palace famous for the banqueting scene in Visconti’s classic movie, The Leopard. (Group size limited and donation of $55 per person towards restoration required.) Seville: river cruising and home of Flamenco – Aegean Odyssey can navigate the Guadalquivir River and berth in the heart of Seville, home to the Spanish flamenco dance. To fully appreciate the atmosphere of this wonderful city we have included a lively flamenco evening performance on board the ship. Vineyards and wine tasting – in Bordeaux, the Loire Valley, Jerez and Oporto you’ll be able to try the vintages and tour the extensive vineyards.
Perast Town, Montenegro
