Hello Blue Ridge! Warm weather is finally here and Summer Seminar is around the corner! Registration forms for the seminar and Sandra Pearce’s 2-day PPA continuing education program are in the final stages. Keep your eyes open for the online forms and emails that are forthcoming! This will be a seminar that you will NOT want to miss. There will be limited seats for Sandra’s program so you may want to reserve your spot as soon as you receive the information. I have heard a great things about last month’s program with Michael Corbin. I am sure it was fabulous! Thanks to Michael for sharing his Lightroom knowledge and thanks to David Lee for hosting the meeting at his studio. Next board meeting is coming up this month. What a breathtaking time of the year! I love seeing the color palette of Spring, and all the new growth everywhere I turn! So many awesome opportunities for some incredible images. With that being said, am I photographing more? No! I must admit, my intentions are higher than my time. My children’s end of school year activities have turned me into a full time taxi driver. But, being the mother of a grown child, as well as grade school kids, I know they grow too fast. I keep telling myself that I will get a family picture this year, and seriously, I will! I’m really excited about our May/June meeting. This will be a social meet up and day of photographing together, while learning from one another. Please bring photographer friends. This one will be a great opportunity for potential new members. The meeting is Monday, June 8th. We will be photographing at Wasena and Smith Park. From what I can see online it offers some gorgeous possibilities, a waterway, old bridge, etc. Bring your water shoes, because there is opportunity to get in the water. There is a website for the park with more information and images online if you want to google it. Plan to meet at David Lee Michaels studio parking lot at 10 am and we will head over to the park from there. At the end of the day we will gather back at Davids. Mark your calendars now for our July meeting with Shannon Turner. He will be speaking on competition Monday, July 13th. More information to follow. Enjoy your summer! Keep snapping!
