THIRD GRADE WRITERS: MISS BENCE'S YOUNG AUTHORS SHINE IN BOOK PUBLISHING AND SIGNING EVENT!

On January 30th, the entire third-grade class of Miss Bence gathered in the Elementary Library for a special book signing event. These talented students wrote and illustrated a book centered around their favorite animals called "Animal Kingdom." The occasion drew the attendance of numerous families, teachers, and staff who eagerly listened as the students proudly read their book aloud for the very first time. Additionally, a classmate was the first to check out the book from the library. Congratulations to the talented third-grade authors for their outstanding achievement! HOMECOMING 2024

Meet Me Under the Stars

Homecoming weekend kicked off on February 2nd with an energetic Pep Rally featuring the Homecoming Court, cheerleader performances, introductions of the girls and boys basketball teams, and a variety of games for both faculty and students. Later that evening, the annual Homecoming Basketball Games took place, with our boys and girls teams facing off against the Brentwood School District. Despite a hard-fought game, the girls basketball team narrowly lost to the Eagles with a final score of 34-32. On a positive note, the boys team secured a decisive victory, finishing the game against the Brentwood Eagles with a score of 56-35. The festivities continued on February 3rd, as high school students gathered in the Elementary Gym for the annual homecoming dance. After voting, the Homecoming King and Queen were announced. Congratulations to Noah Facchin '24, the 23-24 Homecoming King and Katie Mann '24, the 23-24 Homecoming Queen. Visit www.vpschools.org/hoco24 to see the photos from the day!
