here is no one way to make your hair very long or extremely fast fast (unless you count hair extensions, of course). Daily maintenance is the key, try these tips to help your hair grow

Write down your hair growth plan down and measure and monitor your hair every two weeks for six months. Coconut oil is very good for the hair, it can help with defrizzing, it can be put on the hair overnight and then you can wash it during your morning shower.

1

. Massaging the Scalp

Massaging your head can help stimulate the blood flow to your scalp, which helps nutrients get to your hair follicles more quickly. Our head is not massaged on a regular basis but it can help the follicles wake up

2

. Wet Hair Massage

While you are washing your hair, massage the scalp with your fingertips, starting at the back of the neck and moving around the hairline. This is another way to stimulate the follicles.

3

. Get Trimmed

Keeping the ends of your hair freshly trimmed will not only let the hair look better while it grows it, will help it grow a lot quicker.

4

. Vitamins

Make sure you have a well balanced diet. This is very important for healthy growth of the hair. The hair is always affected first if anything is going on in your body. So regular check ups.. Keeping your blood pressure regulated, making sure your blood iron levels are normal are all key factors to healthy hair growth.

5

. Condition, condition, condition

Shampoo takes all of the dirt and grime out of your hair and scalp, while conditioner replenishes nutrients that you hair needs to be healthy and shiny. If you really need to skip a step, ditch the shampoo every V REFRESHED MAGAZINE Issue 01- Feb/Mar 2016

Intense heat alters the shape of your hair but if it is used too often with heated protectors it will slow down the growth of the hair. ojoba Oil used every week helps with natural moisture balance. It makes the hair smooth, soft and strong if used religiously every week. If you have dry and rough hair this oil is a perfect remedy for nourishing your dry and brittle hair. This oil is non sticky and gets absorbed easily into the scalp and Hair. Use as a hot oil the best results. Another secret remedy which will help grow your hair is ‘milk’ because it hydrates the scalp moisturizer is your hair and stimulate hair growth. Take one cup apply it into the Roots and tips of your hair leave it for at least 5 minutes massage it in and let it penetrate into the scope and after 5 minutes shampoo your hair and Style. Tara Smith talks about her Vegan hair products

Who inspired you? Vidal Sassoon, Anita Roddick my Mum and Dad. They just kept me going. Why did you decide to start your own haircare line? I started the vision of my own hair care line 7 years ago, i have not looked back. I have kept my vision in place and decided that I wanted to create something that my clients wanted and eventually what everybody wanted. The real reason behind starting the line is with many actors and actresses I worked with they wanted more natural products, and the ones that I used I never found that they delivered what I needed them to do, so with my hair care line with one application you'll see an instant results.

Is the hair care range suitable for all hair types? Absolutely, it's for all ethnicities. I developed these products with the environment in mind. They are eventually and gluten free and free from harsh toxins. I do not believe i have to harm the earth or animals so all the ingredients are carefully picked out.

Your hair is very nice, how do you get your curls so bouncy?

The newest addition to the hair care line, the thickening /voluminous cream has peptides in, these are normally used in face creams to lift the skin we have adapted this after being clinically tested the result came back that it made the hair 110% more volume, Using this product, when the hair is blow dried it has a memory and leaves the hair in shape all day. It also strengthens the hair reducing the breakage and if used regularly.

I used my working curls shampoo and conditioner, as this has the rosemary extract in it , which gives my curl it's moisture as most of us know with curly hair it can get very dry. This week I will use my 'Feed the root' 'Shampoo and conditioner which will strengthen my hair. My philosophy is the hair is like a plant feed the root you will optimise good healthy hair. I put my basecoat zero serum, this is a must for every hair type of hair, then put my thickening cream on the roots to give it a lift, just apply a little bit of this around the

Can children use your range of products? Yes I have a shampoo which is called gorgeously gentle shampoo. Our ingredients are very gentle and contains plant extracts aloe Vera and chamomile. Words of wisdom Verona White gives you the next drop of inspiration

Unity is Strength. Unity is power. Unity is unbreakable. When we come together to achieve greatness, nothing can come between us. As we link and hold hands, supporting each other together we become one. As we feel each other’s pain, strengthening one another with words and prayers. United we stand together. United we cry together. United we all go forward together. Division has no room in Unity. Division is a selfish man’s cry, Division is the weak mans answer. Unity embraces the multitude of our differences, it accepts and nurtures, it combines and blends. When we have unity we achieve victory, we find happiness, we find peace and most of all we get results. ‘A team will ignite a dream’

Vocal booth expert advice on singing is this:

1. Don’t hurt your voice A common mistake for those of us who haven’t had a teacher when learning to sing, is that you don’t

get the technique right. The big difference between your voice and other instruments is that you can end up hurting your voice big time if you do it all wrong. Be very gentle with your voice.

If you want to sing a beautiful tone you wouldn’t want it to be very airy and end almost instantly?

SINGING SHOULD NEVER HURT! Take this with you and you’re halfway there. If you try sing a song and it hurts, you’re doing something wrong. Don’t continue at this point because it will hurt your throat and vocal cords. Stop instead and examine what it can be that you’re doing wrong.

Pitch control, Nice ending on all tones, Tone improvement, Relaxation, Volume I suggest working with your support by having your hands to your side every time you start singing for at least 5-10 minutes to see that you’re actually using it.

The support also will also help you with:

Feel how the muscles move your hands away. The support should be used in all singing. The difficuties with using your support is that it should be a constant resistance . To understand this we have to understand why we need our support in the first place. How does it work? When you make a sound or sing a tone air comes up and your vocal cords vibrate. What your support do is that it stops the airflow so that all air won’t come up at once. That’s why it should be a resistance and almost constant. PAGE

Singing is an instrument just like a guitar, piano and a drum kit. Imagine someone telling you that you was born to play the guitar and haven’t trained to play it. To become a great singer you have to train your voice. This can be done in so many ways. The point is that starting to see your voice as a real instrument will give you wisdom. 4. Improve your pitch and ear This can not be forgotten or ignored. Many people don’t train their ears because it might seem boring or hard.

Ear training can be fun if you want it to be. The best singers in the world have great ears and that’s why they can sing so beautifully. Ear training is all about listening and analysing and I suggest you to do some ear training exercises everyday for 10 minutes or so and you will improve everything in both your singing and your ear. 5. Learn the basics of guitar or piano

therefore they are perfect for singing. The advantages you will have by learning the basics of any of this two instruments are: You will begin to understand how music theory works. You can play and sing a song just by yourself It will be much easier to compose

This is not something absolutly critical I hope this helps , enjoy your wonderful to become a good singer but it will voice. help you in so many ways. Both guitar and piano are instruments with great chord advantages and

WHY DO I ALWAYS END UP WITH THE SAME TYPE OF PARTNER?

BY TJ THE LOVE COACH

making your love choices from your love programming. Your love programming does not take place on a conscious (thinking) level. Whilst your conscious mind may be judging or blaming your choices in partners, it is your love programming that is actually generating these choices on a deeper, subconscious level.

Have you ever wondered why you seem to keep attracting and dating the same type of partner? I don’t want to say the “wrong partners” as I believe that in every dating and relationship experience there are lessons we are meant to learn. When you stop growing you start dying! Part of my role when you seek my help as a Love Coach is to help you raise your awareness, not just of what you are looking for in a Soul Mate, but also to identify patterns and programmes that may be contributing to your partner choices so far. So it is important when thinking about what you want to attract in a partner to first go a bit deeper and examine what and who you have been attracting in terms of love in your life so far. A large part of the love choices you have made so far are based on what I call your “Love Programming” Did you ever feel like you made love choices that satisfied you on one level, but on another level, you instinctively knew that they felt wrong or even toxic, almost with a knowing that this person was not good for you? You may have been able to justify these choices to a point, both to yourself and others but perhaps there was part of you that felt divided or torn, a nagging doubt or voice that often resurfaced. If you have had this kind of experience, you were probably PAGE

V REFRESHED MAGAZINE Issue 02- Apr/May 2016

Research suggests that more than 95 per cent of our behaviours can come from the unconscious, or the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is where all the information about what has gone before in your life is stored. On one level it is there to protect us. It analyses and stores what is safe and what is dangerous for us, so that we know for next time. This works up to a point, but if we have received skewed messages about love and relationships, then these get stored in our unconscious too. For example, we saw our mother in self-sacrificing patterns with our father, or we saw a philandering father who we blamed as breaking up the family and yet we find ourselves repeating these behaviours or attracting these into our lives, despite ourselves. To enable you to recognise how you may have been operating from your love programming, there are a number of indepth exercises in my book “Get Ready For Love” that lead to identify significant traits that you want to attract in a potential Soul Mate. You can then compare previous partners to

see who you actually have been attracting. Some may already be obvious to you ie someone who constantly cheats or does not work however some may not be so obvious until you take a closer look.

to be issues with loyalty, faithfulness, honesty and emotional availability with the partners this person is attracting. In the areas where there are no patterns ie supportive, kind and boring these are not analysed as part of the individuals love programming.

Here is a very brief exercise that can help you take a quick overview of these traits. You would need to carry out the full exercises in my book for an in-depth look into your Soul’s Mate and potential matches vs Love Programming but this brief exercise will give you an idea. BRIEF LOVE PROGRAMMING EXERCISE Using a piece of paper or an online spreadsheet list the name of 4 previous partners List 5 good attributes you might want in a partner as part of the list and 5 negative attributes you have experienced in another part. Now Score each person out of 10 against how true this attribute appeared to you (with 1 being not true and 10 being totally true).

The yellow highlights negative patterns that this person is attracting in partners and the green the positive patterns. As we can see in this example this persons patterns indicate that they are generally attracting non-volatile partners who are financially generous and work hard however there are distinct patterns that these partners are also frivolous with their money which causes friction in a relationship. Their also appears

As highlighted previously, our early life experiences can cause us to make love choices that aren’t necessarily supportive for us. With many of my female clients, love programming can often be traced back to their relationship with their father or father figure. If this was a woman I was working with I would look at these from the viewpoint of her relationship with the father figure in her life…he was probably distant, emotionally unavailable and spoilt her with “things” rather than time or love and this she has learnt to expect as love. Many attract the same type of partner subconsciously in order to attempt to fix the pain or void experienced with love whilst growing up. Once you have identified your own Love Programming both positive and negative take a look at those that taught you how to love, parents and older siblings and recognise what consistencies you yourself have adopted. Once you identify these you are already 50% towards changing them as you are empowered to stop yourself repeating your love choices via your love programming and make better conscious choices in the partners you are willing to attract.
