SITE ANALYSIS.

Location: Marina Bay Neighborhood, Singapore Address: 70 #01-05 Collyer Quay, Customs House, Singapore 049323 Neighborhood Population: 41,510 City Population: 5.8 Million City Area: 277 Square Miles

Collyer Quay is a road in Dowtown Core, Singapore and is situated adjacent to Marina Bay. The site is located right on the water allowing for views of the Marina Bay. By being located right on the water, the site does not back up to any other infrastructure, allowing for a un-interrupted view and plenty of natural daylight, adding to the sustainable qualities that make up this hotel.

INSPIRATION.

The design of Hotel 541 is inspired by the 541 foot tall Singapore Flyer that is located within the Marina Bay Neighborhood and acts as a landmark within the local area. The observation wheel provides a 360 degree visual experience to locals and visitors, representing vertical circulation and the idea of a strong central core. The design of the observation wheel informs the materiality chosen for Hotel 541.
