Steven Andriole Thomas G. Andriole’s career has focused on the development, application and management of information technology and analytical methodology to complex business problems. These problems have been in government and industry; Dr. Andriole has addressed them from academia, government, his own consulting companies, a global insurance and financial services company, and from the perspective of a venture capitalist. Dr. Andriole is currently the Thomas G. Labrecque Professor of Business Technology at Villanova University where he teaches and directs applied research in business/technology alignment, pervasive computing and social media. Dr. Andriole is a prolific author and speaker. Some of his 30 books include Interactive Computer-Based Systems Design and Development (Petrocelli Books, Inc., 1983), Microcomputer Decision Support Systems (QED Information Sciences, Inc., 1985), Applications in Artificial Intelligence (Petrocelli Books, Inc., 1986), Information System Design Principles for the 90s (AFCEA International Press, 1990), the Sourcebook of Applied Artificial Intelligence (McGraw-Hill, 1992), a (co-authored with Len Adelman) book on user interface technology for Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Inc. entitled Cognitive Systems Engineering (1995) and a book for McGraw-Hill entitled Managing Systems Requirements: Methods, Tools & Cases (1996). He has recently published articles in the Communications of the ACM, the Journal of Information Technology Cases, the Journal of Information Technology Education, IT Professional, Communications of the AIS and the Cutter IT Journal. Overall, he has published over 500 articles and papers (90 refereed). The 2nd Digital Revolution was published in March 2005 by IGI Publishing Group. A book on technology due diligence was published in late 2008, and another book on Business Technology Management Best Practices was published by Auerbach Publishing in 2009.He most recent book – IT’s All About the People – was published in 2011 by Auerbach Publishing. Some of his consulting clients have included General Electric, Magnavox, CIGNA, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Merck & Co., Computer Sciences Corporation, Air Products & Chemicals, Glaxo Welcome, the Software Productivity Consortium, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Rohm and Haas, PJM Interconnection, Shire Pharmaceuticals and Prudential Fox Roach/Trident. He serves on a number of public and private corporate boards and on the Board of the Ben Franklin Technology Center of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a not-for-profit state-funded economic development organization. He was also a columnist for Datamation on business technology management. He is a Research Fellow of the Cutter Consortium, an information technology research organization. Dr. Andriole received his BA from LaSalle University in 1971 and his Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Maryland in 1973 and 1974.His masters and doctoral work was supported by a National Defense Education Act fellowship. Gregory J. Attorri serves as an adjunct professor teaching Corporate Governance and Ethics as well as International Mergers and Acquisitions in Villanova University’s MBA and EMBA programs. Greg has been an investment banker on Wall Street for over 25 years. He currently serves as the CEO of GJA Advisory Services, a boutique financial advisory firm. His previous experience includes serving as a Managing Director in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. He also was Head of Media and Communications Investment Banking with Wachovia Securities. Greg also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of tw telecom inc. (formerly Time Warner Telecom), where he chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee. In addition, Greg serves on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Army Heritage Center Foundation. Greg is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School.

Hercules Bothma is a visiting instructor of Systems Thinking in the Executive MBA program. His contribution includes complementing the current systems thinking program within the Villanova School of Business through his experience of practical applications and critical thinking seminars. Hercules’ global business experience comprises 25+ years of experience in project management, negotiations (disputes, escalations), business development and global customer management. His consulting work was often focused on re-building trusted relationships with large, global customers and developing and executing on innovative business development approaches to enter new market segments. In addition to a holding a Systems Thinking based Masters degree in Industrial Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Hercules is a certified practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a communication and intervention model. Al Chiaradonna serves as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Innovation for SEI’s Global Private Banking & Trust unit. In this role, Al’s primary responsibilities involve scanning the internal and external environment for market and technology innovations that can be leveraged by SEI to improve client partners’ competitive advantage. Additionally, he has overseen the development and implementation of the Solutions Lifecycle Management Process as well as an increased organizational focus on the Client Experience. Previously, Al served as the Director of Strategy & Innovation for SEI’s Investment Management Market Unit. Under Al, this unit became one of SEI’s fastest growing segments, highlighted by the launch of a holistic outsourcing offering that addressed the business model challenges of the independent money manager. Prior to joining SEI, Al was the CEO of an Internet consulting firm and served in several roles with Andersen Worldwide. As a consul-tant, his clients included Sallie Mae and Freddie Mac, GMAC, America Online, Amazon, VerticalNet, PECO Energy, Olin Chemical, Dow Jones, and MBNA. Al serves as an adjunct professor at Villanova University teaching strategic management for the Executive MBA program. He also holds advisory roles with The Center for Responsible Leadership and Governance at Villanova University, the Public Accounting Networking Group of Philadelphia, Villanova University Executive Programs, and sits on several boards. Jonathan Doh is the Herbert G. Rammrath Endowed Chair in International Business, founding Director of the Center for Global Leadership, and Professor of Management and Operations at the Villanova School of Business. He is also an occasional executive instructor for the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School of Business and Duke Corporate Education (Duke CE) where he works with clients on the challenges of globalization, developing corporate strategy, understanding emerging markets, and implementing strategic corporate responsibility. He has been a visiting Professor at GSBA Zurich and the University of Auckland, and is a frequent keynote speaker to business, foreign affairs, and academic groups. Previously, he was on the faculty of American and Georgetown Universities and a senior trade official with the U.S. government, where he was involved in the negotiation and implementation the U.S. -Canada Free Trade Agreement and the North American Free Trade Agreement. Jonathan is author or co-author of more than 45 refereed articles published in the top international business and management journals, 25 chapters in scholarly edited volumes, and more than 60 conference papers. He is co-editor and or author of six books, including Globalization and NGOs (with Hildy Teegen, Praeger, 2003), Handbook on Responsible Leadership and Governance in Global Business (with Steve Stumpf, Elgar, 2005), Multinationals and Development (with Alan Rugman, Yale University Press, 2008), and International Management: Culture, Strategy, and Behavior, 7th edition (McGrawHill/Irwin, 2009), the best selling international management text. Of his most recent book, NGOs and Corporations: Conflict and Collaboration (with Michael Yaziji, Cambridge University Press), Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, Chairman of the Board of Nestle´ said (the authors) “have provided the authoritative volume on the topic, filled with insights and illustrative case studies. I highly recommend it.” Michael D. White, Vice Chairman of PepsiCo, called it a “must-read for any truly global business executive.” Jonathan has developed more than a dozen original cases and simulations published in books, journals, and case collections, and used at top business schools around the world. Professionally, Mr. Drago has been working in the marketing and marketing research field since 1978 where he started as a market research consultant for Pfizer. Since that time, Mr. Drago has worked for a number of leading consumer and industrial companies including American Home Products (now Wyeth), Sara Lee, Simkar (lighting fixtures), Reckitt Benckiser (Woolite, Lysol) as well as his own marketing and music consultancy (www.listening-post.com). His last non teaching position was as Director of Student Services for The American College. Bud has lived extensively overseas including a two and half year assignment in the UK as International Development manager for Reckitt Benckiser. Mr. Drago has an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Fordham University in New York. Fordham is also where he did his undergraduate work with a BA in Communications. Jamshid Gharajedaghi, Managing Partner & CEO of INTERACT, is one of the original contributors to the development of the third generation of systems thinking, where iterative design is the core of systems methodology. He has more than 25 years of experience in application of interactive design to formulation of strategic planning, business architecture, throughput management, learning and control systems, national development planning, conflict resolution, and democratization of organizations. Jamshid’s work has taken him into corporations and government agencies around the world for both private and public concerns. In addition to teaching Executive MBA students, Jamshid is a Curriculum Module Leader for the Executive MBA Program. Jamshid was formerly Adjunct Professor of Systems Sciences and Director of the Busch center at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (1979-1986). He began his career with IBM’s World Trade Corporation where he served as a Senior Systems Engineer (1963-1969). He left IBM to become CEO of the Industrial Management Institute (19691979). Jamshid received his engineering degree from the University of California, Berkeley (1963) and completed more than 1,500 hours of professional training in systems engineering at the IBM Education Centers in the United Kingdom, Germany and France. From this early training in information systems, his interests led him to operations research, behavioral sciences, and finally, for the last 20 years, to the development and application of interactive design. Jamshid was project manager for two internationally acclaimed projects: New Economic Order, a United Nations project, and Goals for Mankind, a Club of Rome project.

Ron Hill, PhD, is the Richard J.and Barbara Naclerio Chair in Business and Professor, Marketing and Business Law at the Villanova School of Business.He was formerly founding dean of the College of Business at the University of South Florida St.Petersburg and Bank of America Professor of Corporate Social Responsibility; and founding dean of the Pamplin School of Business Administration at the University of Portland in Oregon and the Rev.John B.Delaunay, C.S.C.Professor of Social Responsibility; additional faculty appointments include Cornell University, George Washington University, and American University. Ron Hill is globally recognized for his unique and engaging style of presentation on issues that include the triple bottom line of corporate social responsibility (financial, social, and environmental), dynamic leadership opportu-nities for 21st century executives, management challenges of the coming generations, and mentoring women for personal and professional success.He has been named one of the most prolific and influential authors in the field of marketing, having penned nearly 200 articles, review papers, and books.He was selected by the United Nations to speak on behalf of disadvantaged consumers at universities and corporations around the country.He is currently Editor of the American Marketing Association’s Journal of Public Policy & Marketing. Stephen Mahar, PhD, is associate professor in the Management and Operations Department at VSB. Previously Steve taught at the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He earned a BA in mathematics from State University of New York at Geneseo, a BS in mechanical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Decision Sciences and Operations Management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Steve’s research interests include analytics applications, operations management, supply chain management, and multi-channel supply chains. His work appears in numerous journals including European Journal of Operational Research, Interfaces, OMEGA, and Computers and Operations Research.

Wen Mao was born and raised in Suzhou, China. She came to the U.S. in 1990 for graduate work and earned a PhD in Economics from Virginia Tech (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University) in 1994. Her research fields are Game Theory, Microeconomic Theory, and Public Finance. She has published in journals such as Economic Theory, International Journal of Game Theory, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Banking and Finance, Japanese Economic Review, etc. Wen taught at Tulane University prior to joining Villanova. She has been the department chair of Economics at Villanova since 2007. She started the summer China business program at the graduate and the undergraduate level in 1998, and has been taking students to China every year.

Tim Monahan is the EMBA Faculty Director, professor of Performance Measurement, and teaches Auditing in the Undergraduate program. He has won teaching awards at both LaSalle and Villanova Universities and is a recipient of the IMS Distinguished Faculty Member award. Tim has served as a consultant to more than 30 Fortune 500 companies in the US, Europe and Asia and worked in the Treasurer’s Department of Becton, Dickinson and Company, a multi-billion dollar medical products manufacturer. Tim’s consulting work has involved strategic cost management and performance measurement issues in managing a company. Past clients have included: Accenture, Cisco, Exelon, E&Y, Ford, Rockwell International etc. Tim is currently working with Comcast, Dow Chemical, Philips Electronics, and serves on the Board of Directors for Ariba, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise spend management (ESM) solutions. Tim also is the designated Financial Expert and Chair of the Audit Committee for Ariba. From 1996 to 2003, Tim served as Dean of the Villanova School of Business, initiating two new Master’s programs and adopting a new strategic plan built around the concepts of globalization, technology, ethics and experiential learning. He has published research in many academic journals involving: capital budgeting, integrating finance and strategy in decision making, evaluation and reward systems, improving decision models, and new models for accounting education. Terry Nance has 20-30 years of communication teaching experience, working with corporate executives, law enforcement officers, middle managers and teachers. She has directed workshops on interpersonal communica-tion, listening skills, conversation skills, impression management, developing professional voice and diction, conflict resolution and cultural diversity. As Assistant Vice President for Multicultural Affairs, Terry directs the activities of The Center for Multi -Cultural Affairs which hosts the Academic Advancement Program, Affirmative Action Programs, Student Outreach and Diversity Programming and the NHI (National Hispanic Leadership Institute) Student Leadership Center. A distinguished member of Villanova University’s faculty since 1978, Terry has been instrumental in the design and initiation of the Communication Department where she held the position of Chair and instructs various com-munication courses. Terry’s research on a wide variety of communication issues has been published in such journals as The Journal of Management Systems, Journal of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Neo Natology, Iowa Journal of Communication and the Journal of Negro Education. Her expertise in the classroom has been recognized by awards from the Univer-sity and her professional association, The Eastern Communication Association.

Mr. Nunez serves as the Director of External Affairs for the Inter-American Foundation, an agency of the United States government that delivers development assistance to grassroots organizations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to his appointment with the Inter-American Foundation, Mr. Nunez spent more than fifteen years with Merck & Co. Inc.. While at Merck he held numerous positions of increasing responsibility within both the U.S. and International sales and marketing organizations. Most recently he led global consumer marketing and public affairs for the HPV franchise. He also directed the identification of corporate marketing partnerships and associated business development opportunities in the Asia Pacific, Eastern European, and Latin American markets. Mr. Nunez received his B.A. in Biology from Eastern Mennonite University, his M.B.A. from Villanova University, and completed a special sciences post-baccalaureate at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Nunez was a 2010 recipient of the VSB Bartley Alumni Medallion and currently serves as chair of the Villanova Center for Global Leadership Advisory Council.

Michael S. Pagano is The Robert J. and Mary Ellen Darretta Endowed Chair in Finance at Villanova University. Professor Pagano has conducted several empirical analyses related to various issues in market microstructure, financial institution management, risk management, international finance, cost of capital estimation, and interest rate determination. He has published in numerous finance journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Markets, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management, and the Financial Analysts Journal.Professor Pagano serves as an associate editor of The Financial Review and on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Managerial Finance and Advances in Quantitative Analysis of Finance and Accounting.He was also the current guest editor and former associate editor of the Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies.Professor Pagano has been a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Costa Rica, as well as a visiting professor at the University of Otago in New Zealand and the American University of Rome, and has received awards for both teaching excellence and academic scholarship. Prior to earning his doctorate and joining the Villanova University faculty, Professor Pagano spent over 10 years in the financial services industry. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and has experience both in commercial lending activities at Citibank and in investment valuation analysis at a financial consulting firm, International Capital Markets Corp., as well as Reuters PLC. At Villanova University, he has participated in numerous college and university initiatives such as launching the Executive MBA program, the M.S.in Finance program, the Mid-Atlantic Research Conference in Finance (MARC), the Institute for Research in Advanced Financial Technology, and the award-winning Applied Finance Lab. In addition to his duties at Villanova University, Professor Pagano serves as a member of FINRA’s Market Regulation Committee and has been a consultant to several organizations including Deutsche Börse, Cantor Exchange, Citibank, Fidelity Investments, American Bankers Association, PaineWebber, Ortner, O’Brien, and Ortner Advisory Group, GTE Investments, Philadelphia Suburban Corp., Aqua America, and Bank Julius Baer. Professor Peters is the Chair of the Accountancy and Information Systems Department at the Villanova School of Business. He received his Ph.D. in accounting from Indiana University in 1996. Prior to his doctoral work, he graduated with a degree in accounting from Michigan State University and an MBA in finance from Indiana University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Professor Peters has work experience in public accounting after his undergraduate degree and commercial banking after his MBA degree. He teaches financial accounting at the graduate and undergraduate levels at Villanova University and previously at the University of Maryland. He has published in the top accounting academic journals such as The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory and educational journals such as Issues in Accounting Education. His research on business combination accounting was presented to the Financial Accounting Standards Board. He lives in Devon, Pennsylvania with his wife Jeannine and daughters Isabelle and Rita.

Greg is presently VP/Principal for SherTrack LLC. He has been a supply chain executive for over 25 years with several Fortune 100 companies and spent seven years as an IBM supply chain Executive Consultant. He has presented papers on and has lead consulting engagements in supply chain management, Risk Management, Lean/Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints throughout the US and around the globe. Greg was APICS’ 1997 International Society President. He is well published, a frequent speaker at conferences, seminars, webinars and dinner meetings. Greg speaks over 20 times per year and has authored over 100 articles in major supply chain magazines and journals. He has been a member of the APICS Strategic Direction Committee, has been on the Editorial Board for DC Velocity magazine, has been an IBF forecasting certification instructor and he has taught operations management at the University of Scranton and has been guest lecturer at ASU, St. Johns University and Rutgers University. Greg is presently a member of the Business Analytics Roundtable for Villanova University, he is a member of the Board of Advisors for Rutgers University’s Supply Chain Undergraduate Program and he is Executive in Residence for Lehigh University’s Center for Value Chain Research. Greg has been teaching graduate level supply chain risk management at Lehigh University and has been facilitating Supply Chain Risk Management public workshops and the new APICS supported Risk CERTIFICATE workshops around the globe for over four years. Greg and his Lehigh Supply Chain Management Department Chair are developing a First-of-a-Kind “Field Book” on Supply Chain Risk Management for inclusion in the classroom and elsewhere in 2014. David Shaffer is an associate professor of finance at the Villanova School of Business and the Chair of the Department of Finance. He teaches in the MBA, MSF, and EMBA programs as well as the Executive Education program for Comcast. He regularly teaches courses in Derivatives, International Finance, Corporate Finance, and Fixed Income. David is also the Director of the Villanova Rome Program. His published research is in the area of Derivatives and risk management, especially with respect to the use of futures contract hedging strategies to mitigate financial risk. Prior to arriving at Villanova, David worked for the Chubb Corporation a multi-billion dollar propertycasualty insurer in its Loss Control Division, and for Prudential Securities, a large financial services firm as a Financial Advisor. David received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the Ohio State University and his PhD in Finance from the University of Kansas .

Walt Tymon has served as a Curriculum Module Leader and teacher of Strategy in the Executive MBA program. He has also served as Chair of the Management Department for the Villanova School of Business. Walt’s publications and training instruments in management development have been used throughout the US and internationally and have been translated into a number of languages, providing training for thousands of employees and managers. He has spoken at numerous conferences across the US and abroad discussing the research basis for his publications and the application of this research in management development for personal and organizational effectiveness. Walt has taken part in the design and implementation of major business school initiatives at Villanova University including the Executive MBA, Professional MBA, and the Summer Business Institute. Walt’s research and publications have focused on strategic planning processes and practices, and motivational issues facing employees, teams and organizations. Prior to his professorship at Villanova University, Bob worked with Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young) in Boston and served as a consultant to several small businesses to develop microcomputer account-ing systems. He has led financial education programs for clients including Philips Lighting, ComEd, ARAMARK, Deloitte & Touche and Standard Register. A Certified Public Accountant, Bob has given numerous professional presentations on auditing and internal control. He is an active member of the Institute of Management Accountants and an editor/ reviewer for their journal Strategic Finance. Bob has published articles in Management Accounting, Corporate Controller, Internal Auditor, Strategy & Leader-ship, Issues in Accounting Education and Comcast. He has led the curriculum design efforts at Villanova Univer-sity in three accounting courses, with special emphasis on technology in accounting. As a professor in the Executive MBA program, the graduate MBA, and the undergraduate accounting program, Bob has won several teaching awards and is a three-time finalist for Villanova’s university-wide teaching award. Bob earned his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.
