Solar & Small Wind Installer Program The Solar & Small Wind Installer program enhances career opportunities in the electrical trade. Participants will develop skills in Solar and Small Wind Installation. Receive extensive hands-on and theoretical training, related to residential and commercial electrical installation as well as information on constructing, installing and maintaining small wind turbines and solar PV panels. Subjects include: Conducting a renewable energy site assessment, working safely with small renewable energy systems, selecting a final design, learning about the mechanical and electrical design, installing subsystems and components at the site, performing a system checkout and inspection, maintaining and troubleshooting, the business of renewable energy and most importantly safety. Course Dates: April 11- April 27, 2012 Prerequisites: Minimum first year electrical apprenticeship is required. Fee: $1,495 plus GST.
