We have recently launched NANOPRÔ, our new range of nano paint based on our proprietary process of extracting top quality nano materials from rice-husk. In 2017, we commence construction for our newest factory, a state-of-the-art production facility that is purpose-built for large-scale commercial production of nano paint. Moving forward, we will continue to focus on R&D and develop best-in-class paints, environmentally-friendly, and localized for each market that we supply the products to. Nano Technology From Rice Husk KOVA has successfully engineered a breakthrough in Nano technology based on rice husk. This is a one-of-a-kind in paint technology, hence it has achieved worldwide attention since being announced. This timely innovation ushers in a new age for the paint industry, providing ultraprotection solutions and touching the everyday lives of millions of people. The brains behind this extraordinary technology is Vietnam’s world-renowned scientist, Professor Nguyen Thi Hoe – KOVA Group’s President. The technology has now been patented in the US. Silicate NANO, separated from rice husks, is used to synthesise Colloidal, which is an adhesive, glossy, light resistant, UVresistant, anti-water, odour-absorbent, heatproof, fireproof substance with wonderful hardness. By changing Colloidal’s features for coating purposes, NANO products from rice husk, are thus of higher quality than those from other materials in terms of gloss, hardness of paint film,

heat-resistance, waterproofness, dustproofing and anti-fungal ability.

A surface treated with NANOPRÔ coatings can last longer, hence extending the repainting cycle and bringing lasting benefit to projects and homeowners. NANOPRÔ has been proven in bothlocal and international projects, particularly in Singapore.
Bulletproof Paint The success of KOVA NANO’s bulletproof coating has amazingly attracted the attention of numerous organisations around the world. This special product may yield a high potential of wide application in the future, in addition to KOVA’s regular civil products. Bulletproof paint is a special liquid used to cover bulletproof fabrics, in particular Kevlar, in order to increase their performance. This can help reduce the number of Kevlar layers inside body armour, thus dramatically reducing costs and the armour’s weight.

Nano Technology From Rice Husk Natural - Eco Friendly NANOPRÔ is a single-component and made from rice husk. These natural ingredients are abundant in Vietnam and has led it to become one of the most cost-effective paint products. On the other hand, NANOPRÔ is 100% water-based, nearly zero VOC (volatile organic compound), lead-free and mercury-free; hence, it does not have a bad smell and is harmless to users. The products are certified GREEN LABEL by the Singapore government. The manufacturing of paint from rice husks has an extremely significant meaning for environment protection, slowing down global warming thanks to its little use of organic materials, especially petroleum.
Long Lasting KOVA paints in general and NANOPRÔ in particular have gone through rigorous real world tests, ranging from large-scale national projects to civil projects and manufacturing plants. NANOPRÔ requires little maintenance and has a lifetime of 7-20 years, with colours lasting 5-15 years. Thanks to the advanced NANO technology-based paints, NANOPRÔ is always top quality. All the materials used to produce paint and waterproof substances are imported from the largest enterprises in the USA and Europe. The quality control system deployed is ISO 9001 : 2008. Other Special Features Easy Maintenance Each product has a durable and tough film which is water-resistant and easy to clean, without becoming scratched or peeling off. Paint types for glossy surfaces, in particular, are dust-resistant and very easy to clean.
Elasticity NANOPRÔ paint films have good stretch ability. The paint film covers every tiny crow’s feet-like crack on the wall surface, and some NANOPRÔ paints are even elastic up to 200-300% and especially suitable for filling and sealing key positions and cracks.
Total Solution Each KOVA product is part of total coating solution, from waterproof substances, surface smoothing substances (mastic, putty), primer and decorative coatings to high-class range (stone paint, marble paint, self-cleaning paint) in order to satisfy all customer needs for various product types.

KOVA manufactures a variety of paint and coatings, such as water-based decorative paint, waterproof coatings, epoxy paint for industrial purpose, sport-court coatings, traffic paint, and paint for bridges, seaports, airports, etc. with a range of premium and economical products in over 1026 different colours. The diversity of our products allows us to work on all buildings and structures – floors, roofs, walls, sport courts, recreational areas, hospitals, schools, factories, wood, metals, water tanks, roads, car parks, etc. We do not compete in the Marine Coating sector because the anti-fouling properties of marine paints require certain degrees of toxicity. SELF-CLEANING Exterior Nano Paint
KOVA Self-Cleaning provides long-lasting protection to exterior walls, with excellent self-cleaning, waterproofing and anti-fungal features. The paint gives an aesthetic high gloss/matt finish for the painted surface, and a long-lasting colour of up to 10 years. KOVA Self-Cleaning paint with NANO Technology isolates and eliminates dirt particles, giving a bright, long-lasting colour to the surface. The tight arrangement of NANO molecules creates a protective film against dust and increases the electrostatic attraction between the dust particles. Under this electrostatic force, dust particles form clusters which attach weakly to the protected surface, so they are then easily washed away by rain or water spray, keeping the wall as bright as new. Mechanism Nano molecules in the paint film structure set off a “CO -dust-air� reaction and form dust clusters on the wall. The Nano-sized molecules create a completely tight, protective paint film which lowers the force of attraction between the dust and the painted surface. Because the force of attraction has been lowered, external forces, such as rain or water spray, find it easy to wash away dust clusters, keeping the surface as bright as new. 16 16

ANTI-BACTERIAL Interior Nano Paint
Bacteria proliferate and stick to walls, floors and other low humidity places. This has a severe negative impact on human health, learning outcomes and concentration. Designed with super anti-bacterial properties, KOVA NANOPRÔ Anti-Bacterial is proven to effectively eliminate 95% bacteria, especially five common followings that can be found in homes or public places

Mechanism KOVA Anti-Bacterial is capable of eliminating common bacteria. The paint film will isolate the bacterium and prevent its fertility and expansion, at the same time corrode its membrane until it breaks out. The anti-bacterial capability of KOVA Anti-Bacterial is developed based on the coordination between Silver NANO and chemical substances. To one-shelled bacteria (positive gram) With NANO particles’ size (1/50,000 strand of hair), ions Ag+ is capable of attacking the bacteria’s cell at its negatively charged functional groups, changing its structure and leading to its elimination. To two-shelled bacteria (negative gram) NANO ions Ag+ and chemical compounds in KOVA Anti-Bacterial create a perfect combination between two bacterial mechanisms on two-shelled bacteria. The two mechanisms attack the bacterium’s protein and decompose them.

WATERPROOF Exterior Nano Paint
KOVA NANOPRÔ Waterproofing prevents water from penetrating the inside structure, especially in areas with constant exposure to water, such as exterior walls, basement and floors.

This high-performance waterproofing solution is effective when applied on areas such as floor basement, tank, swimming pool, terrace, general floor, lower wall edge, toilet floor, wall surfaces of building, hotel, or surfaces exposed to harsh or wet weather. Mechanism Concrete is an aggregate of small particles as it is a mixture of various ingredients including cement, sand, gravel and water. Looked at in close-up the structure is full of holes and rough elements. Water penetration is the greatest degrader of concrete, under which force concrete is easily broken off, threatening the sustainability of the whole structure. Intense waterproof power from KOVA NANOPRÔ Waterproof Deep fulfllment undercoating: With NANO-sized and intensified molecules, the product acts as a cementbased glue mixture, quickly absorbs and fulfils the “holey” vulnerability of concrete. Mechanism The paint film intumesces to form a honeycomb structure the moment it makes contact with fire. This structure creates an obstruction to prevent oxygen in the air making contact with the burning surface. Other subsidiary components create a gas that prevents the burning process and creates a ceramic layer to cover the burning surface. It protects metal structures/wood from being melted down, which can make the construction collapse, despite the over-melt down temperature of the materials.

The products are specialised for decoration of the wall surfaces, pillars, and ceilings of constructions that demand high aesthetic requirements and diverse colours.

KOVA NANOPRĂ” Art Stone Paint can last up to 15 years due to its synthesis of numerous stone materials and Polyurethane (thickeners), forming dense links with Silicon derivatives. The product is diversified in types and colours, appropriate for both interior and exterior uses.
Mechanism KOVA Art Stone paint is made by many layers of scales that overlap together with high density. When walls have small cracks, the scales have the capability to move and cover the cracks. In addition, because the final protection layer of Art Stone is Clear Protect, this paint features self-cleaning, anti-mildew and, especially, durability of up to 20 years.

KOVA NANOPRĂ” A9 is premium water-based traffic paint with the main component of acrylic modified by Silicon, which creates a much more durable traffic paint compared to ordinary Alkyd-based traffic paint.

WHITEBOARD PAINT Special Decorative Paint
Whiteboard Paint is the perfect substitute for normal whiteboard with the outstanding features of being able to write onto the coating directly and easy to clean. With Whiteboard Paint, consumers can maximise their creation by broadening the space to write from ceiling to floor, including all four walls, using various colours. Whiteboard Paint is denatured water-based Epoxy paint comprising of two components, Epoxy components and additives, creating a good firm bond with a small size of 40–60nm meaning pigments cannot burrow into the surface coating or be adhesive on the surface of the board or wall. Being 100% hydrophobic, ink can be cleaned easily after writing on the board, on the wall or any other surface without leaving stains or scratches.

Other Water-Based Paint Epoxy Flooring Mastic KL-5 Floor is used to level floors before applying Epoxy KL-5 Floor. It is highly adhesive to concrete surfaces, highly hard, load-resistant and erosion-resistant. In addition, it is waterproof, humidity-resistant and anti-mould corrosion. Mastic Levelling is used to even floors before applying Epoxy KL-5 Floor. It is able to spread out and form a completely even surface, as well as being load-resistant, erosion-resistant, anti-corrosion and adhesive to concrete surfaces. It also performs high waterproofness. Epoxy KL-5 Floor is excellent in load resistance and erosion resistance as well asabrasion resistance. It is water-based, adhesive to concrete, cement, plaster, wood and metals, anti-bacterial, anti-corrosion and salt-resistant. It has high gloss, forming a beautiful paint film which is easy to clean and highly durable.
Metal Coating KG-01 offers an immediate and long-term anti-rust ability for steel, iron and civil projects. KG-01’s features are superior to Alkyd paint because it does not turn golden in the presence of high humidity, rain and storm when exposed outdoors. It is UV-resistant, easy to use and store.
Heat-Resistant Coating CN-05 is used to free fiberglass and walls from heat due to the paint film’s layering crystal structure which contains space inside. This coating reduces a room’s heat by 5-100C, saves energy, cools off and increases stock’s storage time. It is anti-rust and antifungal, increasing fiberglass’s durability. 24
Wood Coating W-2 is easily compatible and highly adhesive to wood and metals. It creates glossy surfaces and a tough paint film which can endure chemical and mild alkali environment. It is also anti-fungal and anti-termite and woodeaters. W-2â&#x20AC;&#x2122;s strength
is its one component water-based nature, which makes it easy to be applied and suitable for different users. KL-5NT is a solvent-based PU coating, which is the ideal product for all interior and exterior furniture. It has high hardness and gloss, which forms a very beautiful wooden surface, resists dirt and dust pickup and makes cleaning easy. The paint film is UV-resistant, erosion-resistant, scratchresistant and highly durable. NANO Clear E3 can replace regular types of PU paint and glossy glue which are used to create gloss and maintain wood patterns for a long time without stain and dark spots. It is adhesive to wood surfaces, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, dust-resistant and easy to clean.

As a large-scale event serving social benefit, the KOVA Prize has quickly surpassed the level of normal firmsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; Corporate Social Responsibility to become one of the most prestigious awards in Vietnam, honouring talents from various fields. Inspired by her early days of hardship when still a student and then a lecturer, Professor Nguyen Thi Hoe, KOVA Paint Group President, established the KOVA Prize in 2002 with the support and involvement of the government. The first president of the KOVA Prize Committee was the former Vice President of Vietnam, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh, and, since 2010, her position has been held by another former Vice President of Vietnam, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doanâ&#x20AC;?. Additionally, the other award judges are all leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and other international representatives. The KOVA Prize is an annual formal occasion, awarding thousands of individuals and groups with a total prize worth up to tens of billions. KOVA expects the KOVA Prize to soon be expanded to an international scale, raising opportunities for students in other countries. Scientists with significant patents that are applicable and beneficial for the community. Role model activists with meaningful humanitarian contributions Students with outstanding academic and research achievements Students who overcame difficulties and exceeded in their field of study.
