Affiliate Classroom 2.0 is a compressive e-learning suite from Lurn, Inc. and Anik Singal, launched on August 11, 2009. A Little About the Company: Anik Singal was named #2 on the list of BusinessWeek's 2008 Top Entrepreneurs under age 25. Lurn, Inc. is recognized as one of the biggest players in affiliate training. They've already trained over 51,000 people. Recently they were listed in the Inc. Magazine 500 fastest growing companies. In the training category, they're #2. What's Inside Affiliate Classroom 2.0? There are 3 key areas of Affiliate Classroom 2.0 - training, tools and community. Training: There are over 60 courses available, with over 200 more in the works. Courses are broken down into 100, 200 and 300 levels. Each course is followed by a short quiz. AC2.0 provides a ranking and certification system, and passing quizzes helps improve your ranking. Courses are very comprehensive. You will find detailed information on everything from being CANSPAM compliant, to tools and steps for producing viral videos, to monetizing blogs, and much more. Many of the courses contain short videos to help increase your understanding of the subject. Alongside the courses, you will find tip sheets and check lists to make sure you are setting up your business to its fullest potential. Tools: What differentiates a program like AC2.0 from an ebook or other one time purchase, are the tools available. AC2.0 is full of valuable, practical tools. Just a few examples are Typo Generator, Keyword List Cleaner, AdWords Ad Writing Tool, and even a fully functional, hosting included website builder. Community: The internal messaging system and forum allow students to communicate easily with each other and build profitable and supportive friendships. The Good Stuff! Most importantly, the information in the courses is actually useful. AC2.0 goes beyond just theory, and teaches specific how-tos, what software to use, what sites are best, etc. It is full of practical information for affiliate marketers of all levels. Beginners and pros will both find many valuable resources.
The interface is easy to navigate. There is even an intro page to help you get started. Instructions are simple, clear and easy to follow. It's fun! The feel of AC2.0 is cheery and supportive. Bright colors, happy people on the videos, and cute images make returning to Affiliate Classroom - well - fun! The Not So Good Stuff: The only issue I have run into with Affiliate Classroom 2.0 is difficulty tracking which courses I have completed. This seems a bit inconsistent. Some courses that I have completed show on my progress, and some don't. This really doesn't bother me, as I am there for my own training, and not really concerned about my ranking. I feel the only thing lacking from is training on the mental aspects of running your own business. It's a lot of hard work, and can often get you down. More support in this area would be nice. My Recommendation: If you are considering affiliate marketing, I highly recommend signing up for some sort of training. It will save you months, and maybe years of learning time. Affiliate Classroom 2.0 is an excellent choice. The information is thorough, it's easy to use, and it's a lot of fun!
