SHIPYARD OFFICE BUILDING
SHIPYARD OFFICE BUILDING Work Project at RSP VN - in team of two The concept design of a four-story office block for a Shipyard Company in Vung Tau, Vietnam projects a corporate and dynamic image with the use of strong lines and forms. The interlocking vertical masses anchor the building firmly to the ground while complimenting the primarily horizontal form of the building.
SHIPYARD OFFICE BUILDING
The slanting facades and sweeping roof form make references to a ship. The large roof overhang offers shade while allowing views to the sea. The east side of the office housing meeting rooms and cafeteria offers expansive views to the water, while the west side is more private for office uses.
A SHELTER BY THE STREAM Studio Project 2010 - Individual work
A SHELTER BY THE STREAM
The shelter by the stream provides a tranquil shelter for a small group of campers in Cleveland Memorial Forest. With a minimal set of materials, the design integrates with a bridge structure that spans across the stream. Occupiable spaces hover over the stream with a clear view of the water and the forest. The dining space is elevated from the crossing path, marking a central space for gathering and giving hierarchy to the structure.

TIBER RIVER MUSEUM Studio project 2011 - Individual work
The foundation and development of Rome in history is parallel to the ebb and flow of Tiber River, which calls for a museum dedicated to the river itself. The Tiber museum is focused on creating a platform to experience the river from the modern perspective. Outdoor spaces are created in pockets between buildings with views to the water. A new building is added to make connections to the pre-existing buildings and provide a sequence of spatial experience while descending to the river.

A study model of the MALMO KONSTHALL in Sweden by Klas Anshelm. This small project was done in group of three for two weeks, where I was specifically responsible for the plaster cast and wood floor. This sectional model is an abstract representation of the spacious interior space lit by 550 skylights to study of the order of construction.

Class Assignment 2010 - Team work
This project is an experiment at creating a woven structure from a set of random points generated in Grasshopper, which aims to give the final product an organic look. The challenge of this project is arranging random points into an order system. After that, intersection points are called out to be moved up and down for the weaving appearance. CORNFIELD PAVILION
- ROBERT EDSON SWAIN ARCHITECTS
As an intern, I provided support and gained experience through working on this residential project. My involvement includes research building codes, research materials and appliances, revising drawing set under architects’ supervision, also handling detail drawings of the fence and trellis.

OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE
The design for Wenzhou Cultural Center in China integrates urban planning and architectural design disciplines for a building composed of a bank, a restaurant, a medical center, and a library. My involvement includes work on the 3D model and revision of orthographic drawing under architects’ supervision.
WINE SHOP INTERIOR DESIGN - FREELANCE WORK
My individual freelance work for a client involves store concept design for a wine/fruit shop of 4m x 12m area with a predetermined spatial organization. The client requires an easy-to-build and affordable interior design. The design features built-in shelves in steel and wood with drop-down ceilings that give a warm atmosphere to the interior space.
9 MILE MASTER PLAN PROPOSAL IN YANGON, MYANMAR - RSP ARCHITECTS PLANNERS & ENGINEERS (VIETNAM)
The proposal focuses on envisioning the street axes with a concentration of shopping malls within the mix-used development. Pockets of greenery, large public gathering spaces, and outdoor kiosks are distributed along the street as visual attractions for the shopping malls. My involvement includes the inception of the proposed design, concept diagrams, 3D modelling and rendered presentation.
CELADON CITY DEVELOPMENT IN HO CHI MINH CITY - RSP ARCHITECTS PLANNERS & ENGINEERS (VIETNAM)
I was part of a five-member team for the concept design of Celadon City. The project consists of high rise apartment buildings and three-story terrace housing. Due to the dense development on site, the design focuses on arrangement of buildings in terms of views to the park and over-looking issues with neighboring high-rises. Besides, economic factors are considered when strategizing the housing development type that would match the current housing trend.
CAPITAL CITY DEVELOPMENT IN YANGON, MYANMAR - RSP ARCHITECTS PLANNERS & ENGINEERS (VIETNAM)
The project is a mixed-use development including three apartment towers, an office tower and a shopping mall podium, next to a 3-winged residential tower complex. I was part of the Project team to develop the existing concept design further into Schematic and Construction Documentation phase. My responsibility for this project includes reviewing concept design drawings, proposing changes necessary to comply with building codes and technical requirements, and production of working drawings.
