VERTICAL SHADING DEVICES STRUCTURAL MEMBERS
DIRECT SOLAR IMPACT ON THE TOWERS IS REDUCED BY SHADING PROVIDED BY ANGLING THE GLAZING AWAY FROM DIRECT SUNLIGHT. WHILE THE UPPER PORTION OF THE SOUTH FACADE IS ANGLED TO RECIEVE DIRECT SUNLIGHT. THE WINDOW TO WALL RATIO IS TAKEN INTO ORDER TO ACHIEVE HIGH TRANSPARENCY ACROSS THE ENTIRE FACADE, WHITE PV CELLS ARE PLACED ON THE OPAQUE PANELS ON THE SOUTH/SOUTH-EAST FACADE WHERE THERE IS OPTIMAL DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
AFTER DARK THE FACADE WILL BE ANIMATED BY HUNDREDS OF LED LIGHTING PIXELS, WHOSE CHANGING APPEARANCE IS A RESPONSE TO THE MOVEMENTS OF PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICLES IN THE GIFT CITY. THESE LIGHTS COULD BE PROGRAMMED TO HIGHLIGHT DIFFERENT SECTIONS OF THE INTERIOR OR SIMPLY A PATTERN.

Landscape Design
Courtyard of Architecture Department M.A.N.I.T Bhopal
TOPOGRAPHICAL ARCHITECTURE The stratified undulating layers of rocks flow around the courtyard, around the water body and the trees in between. They are designed similar to contour lines emphasizing a flow down from the grass garden on the ground level to the level of the water bed. The layers are kept of a specific color pattern, similar to that of a soil profile. The darkest on the top and lighter shades as we go deeper.
