Dear Friends, We are honored to have you as our guests tonight at The Magic of Hope, our 13th Annual Gala & Auction, benefitting the Washington Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association. The Hope in our gala theme pervades our organization. Since our chapter’s founding in 1984, APDA WA has worked tirelessly to “Ease the Burden, and Find the Cure” for Parkinson’s disease. Our focus on helping people live better today and funding research for a better life tomorrow, is unique in the Pacific Northwest. With your help, tonight’s gala will create hope for the Parkinson’s community in Washington State: Every dollar you spend will go entirely toward funding effective programs and services, including research, that fulfill our mission. So please enjoy the evening and know that when you make a purchase or contribute toward the Fund-a-Need, you will truly be making a difference in our Parkinson’s community. Thank you for being a part of The Magic of Hope! Sincerely,

Kristi Murphy Mitchell Executive Director

Honoring

SUZANNE CAMERON

Suzanne Cameron is a standout leader in the Seattle Parkinson’s community who has worked tirelessly for over 15 years through volunteerism, fundraising, and sponsorship to better the lives of those living with Parkinson’s. Suzanne’s husband Chris Jewell was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1998, which led her to join the board of APDA WA in the year 2000. During her board tenure she has served as the Chapter’s President, Auction Chair and Walk Chair. Suzanne’s collective fundraising and community events have raised over $1 million for the local Parkinson’s community, including $250,000 for local research. In addition to her momentous fundraising efforts, she also hosted a support group in her home for many years. Countless community members credit Suzanne for connecting them with the resources, support, and meaningful friendships required to live a full life with Parkinson’s. APDA WA is incredibly grateful for Suzanne’s support, and for championing our important mission to “Ease the Burden, and Find the Cure” for Parkinson’s disease.

In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Auction Manager will be final. 2. Please pay attention to all conditions, restrictions and expiration dates on auction items and services. Many auction packages require the buyer to coordinate with donors, are subject to availability, or will be held on a mutually agreeable date. We appreciate your strict observation of these restrictions, as future donations depend on it. 3. All wines and spirits may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years old. 4. The APDA WA reserves the right to withdraw any item from the auction. 5. Items depicted in the slide presentation are for illustration purposes. 6. Payment for items must be made in full the evening of the auction. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. All items must be picked up the night of the Auction. Note: All purchases are tax deductible as provided by law. The value of the evening, including beverages, is estimated to be $115 per person.
