Fall is now upon us while the memories of summer are still fresh in our minds. Did you accomplish all those exciting adventures on your summer fun list? Or did the summer rush leave you wondering what happened to all the lively things you had planned. If you are the latter, it is not too late to check those experiences off the list. The WA-WM RCS wants to help you finish the list. If you were looking for adventure, look no further than the adult and family trips that we have planned this fall. Join us on our annual trip to Chicago to see the sights or catch a show. All you have to do is show up and we will take care of the rest. If you are daring, our mystery trip last year was a huge hit. If you were looking to challenge your mind, then we have a wide variety of classes from cooking, to investing, to crafting, to learning to navigate in a social media world. You will then be able to #hashtag about all the things you learned in class. For those who wanted to concentrate on wellness, there is no better partner than us. In our activity guide you will find a plethora of options including aquatics, aerobics, golf lessons, archery, sports and healthy eating to name a few. All of these offerings are for young and old alike. We hope all the residents of West Allis and West Milwaukee will partner with us this fall to get out their markers and cross of the final items on the summer fun to do list. We thank all of you who participate and support the program offerings we are able to bring to this wonderful community. The WA-WM RCS staff looks forward to seeing you out there this fall.
Do you have a Talent or Idea?
We may be interested in hiring you as an instructor or maybe you have an idea of a program on your “wish list”.

Dance classes help students develop coordination, range of motion and increased physical fitness through strength, flexibility and endurance. Additionally, social awareness develops as students dance together and begin to recognize themselves in relation to others. Self-discipline and self-confidence are developed as students learn technique and explore their own creativity. Creative Movement classes introduce young dancers (ages 4 - 6) to a structured environment where they learn the basics of dance and classroom etiquette which can be applied to any dance form. Basic dance steps are introduced, though the majority of the class is on a broader objective (balance, dynamics, musicality, etc.) Focus is on a broad movement concepts, coordination and rhythm develop as the children explore movement and music through games and exercises. The young dancers will use pom pons, scarves, and other props to help them stay engaged and learn the basic movements. *No class 10/26, 10/28, 11/23, 11/25, 12/28, 12/30, 2/1, 2/3

I don't know if people tell you often enough, but I think West Allis-West Milwaukee has an awesome rec program. There is such a great variety of things to do, and the prices are very reasonable. Just wanted to say I appreciate all the hard work everyone at your office does to coordinate all of that, and a huge pat on the back to all of the staff who do the coaching and teaching as well. Just wanted to say, keep up the great work! RH
