YOUNG AT HEART 55+

Are you an adult age 55+ looking for some lower intensity exercise options or opportunities to meet some new people in a fun setting? Our Young at Heart programs are for you! These programs are geared towards active older adults in our community looking to stay active and social. 55+ Doubles Bocce Ball League

WA Athletic Complex Come on out and join us for doubles Bocce Ball! Teams will play 1 game each night with each game consisting of 3 sets. Each set is played to 12 points. You can sign up as a team or as an individual and we will pair you with someone else.

Get Up and Walk

Recreation Center Start your morning off right by getting off the couch and walking for an hour! Class will meet at the Recreation Center where we will walk through nearby neighborhoods. We will keep track of how many classes you attend and the more you attend, the more prizes you win! 1-Day drop in passes are available for $2 that can be paid in advance or at class. In the event of inclement weather, we will use the indoor walking track.

Mad-Town Adventure

Departing from the Recreation Center For this trip, we get to enjoy a full summer day in Madison. We will be starting off with a tour of the Capitol where you will be able to take in the beautiful architecture and history of the over 100 year old building. From there, you will have the opportunity to get lunch and shop at all the amazing places around the downtown square and State Street. To finish off the day, we will head over to the Henry Vilas Zoo.

NEW Devils Lake Trip Departing from the Recreation Center This trip is for all you outdoor lovers. We will be heading out early and making our way to Devil’s Lake State Park in the bluffs of Baraboo. Once we get there, you will have the day to explore everything the park has to offer. You can hike up to the iconic “Devil’s Doorway,” swim at the lake, rent a kayak or rowboat, and so much more. We will have a BBQ picnic lunch provided, but there is also a concession stand nearby for snacks.
