After the Guns Fell Silent: The End of the First World War, A Century On Thursday, November 8th 2:00 pm November 11, 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the World War I armistice.
Join us for a lecture and Q & A examining the effects of the end of the war on the American home front, the key events and figures that led to the post-war peace settlements, and their remaining impact on the world and the Waco community. The program is a collaboration between the Mayborn Museum Complex and the Baylor History Department. Lecture is included in general admission to the museum. Military veterans will receive free general admission to the museum as well at the lecture. Seating is limited.

Christmas at the Mayborn
Thursday, November 29 4:30 - 7:30 pm It’s time to celebrate Christmas at the Mayborn!
Join staff and friends of the Mayborn Museum Complex for a special Christmas event full of hands-on activities including a visit from Santa and a special model train display from the Central Texas Area Model Railroaders. Visitors can enjoy performances by local student choirs, participate in STEM challenges, and much more! Stop by Design Den to tinker with a Makey Makey Christmas tree and holidaythemed circuit blocks. Children that are 8 and up can step into Design Den Studio to create holiday cards with paper circuits. Activities and events are included in the price of admission. Admission is free to museum members and Baylor University students.
