THE REPRESENTATIVE OF PALESTINE’ OFFICE SPEECH Mohesen Abdullah Attawneh It is my honor to present to you Wafaa Microfinance and Capacity Building\ Palestine Office the achievements of 2019. Palestine Office was established in 2014, based on the vision of establishing a leading institution in the field of social and developmental work. Wafaa strives to empower families, individuals and institutions. Our core priorities have always been supporting Palestinian youth, helping people with special needs, deprived families, female-headed houses, empowering students to continue their university education, sponsoring and caring for talented and creative Palestinians in achieving their goals and aspirations. And we have also worked in supporting non-profit social institutions and initiatives. Wafaa’s new business model has three main features: first: sustainability, meaning the capacity of the projects and initiatives benefiting from Wafaa’s work has to survive and sustain even after Wafaa’s role in implementing them is over. Second: building longterm partnerships with other organizations and institutions. Third: the ability to measure the impact and returns of the Community investment that is being achieved.
With the big and continuous support from Wafaa International Group, we have reaped a lot of achievements, succeeded, and gained great returns. Thanks to God and the diligent work of our distinguished team. In conclusion, I extend my thanks to all the supporters and partners who are building this distinctive development model with us. Together, we reaffirm our commitment to making the difference.
I hereby extend my gratitude to the Republic of Indonesia for its vital support and sponsorship specifically the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Social Affairs. We also express our deepest gratefulness and appreciation for the Indonesian Embassy in Jordan and Palestine with its entire staff.
