I am writing to invite you to our special 9th WAG International Fetival 2025, which will be celebrated in Taunton, Somerset UK. The dates are September 25th to October 2nd
Taunton is the County Town of one of the largest provinces of the UK, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The Anglo-Saxon King, Ine, founded Taunton town, building its first castle in 710. We are extremely lucky to have around 100+ cultural organisations in our town and 3 museums. We would love to welcome you all to join us in our first ever Taunton Together International Festival in September 2025, which will be part of the WAG festival programme. Taunton has a unique spirit, with a very special history of rebellion. I’ve lived here for most of my life, attracted by the kindness of the people, the surrounding beauty of the countryside and the cultural offer.
We are inviting you to come and celebrate our town on this special occasion, as we have created a special programme of visits to enable you to enjoy the town and surrounding attractions. We’ve tried to keep the visits local because we know you have travelled far. We’ve also tried to keep the prices down so that we can offer you the best possible experience at the lowest cost. This is a beautiful part of the world and we want to enjoy it to the full.
We are waiting to welcome you, dear friends, old and new – all dear members of our WAG artistic family. We promise to give you a really good time! Taunton rocks!

INSTRUCTIONS
HOW WILL WE ARRIVE AT TAUNTON ?
Airports:
BRISTOL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The nearest airport is Bristol International Airport. ( 40 minut Taunton by Megabus or car)
CARDIFF AIRPORT
The next option is Cardiff airport ( 2 ⁄ hours from Taunton by train)
LONDON HEATHROW
The last option is London Heathrow (3 hours from Taunton) Be warned –this is a big airport! (From here you can travel to Taunton by train from Paddington station. 2 hours)
Paddington Station
This is also a big station, but there are trains to Taunton every hour – Destination –Plymouth, Penzance or Taunton.
Train travel in the UK is expensive. It’s best to book ahead, using an App (there is always an app!) on Trainline.com. The e-ticket will come to your phone and you won’t have to run around and queue.
Our plan is to do a meet and greet and Taunton station and possibly Bristol airport.

IMPORTANT: Paid annual membership fee for 2025, amount of EUR 60, is condition for participation in the Festival.
HOTEL has limited capacity, so please make your registration as soon.... when the accommodation capacity of the hotel is full, we will use accommodation in tourist apartments.

Sept.26: Town visit and Museum and show opening in the evening 6pm. Dinner at Maliha restaurant
Sept.27: Taunton Together festival – possible participation
Sept.28: Visit to Dunster (Medieval village) and Watchet Art colony near the sea BREWHOUSE THEATRE GALLERY
Sept.29: Arts and Culture activity day at Sheppey’s (facultative £40pp)
Sept.30: Visit to Bath (UNESCO heritage site /Roman baths)
Oct.1: Hestercombe House and gardens with cream tea Grand farewell party at CICCIC –collect paintings from Brewhouse
