summer 2012 cornell university: introduction to architecture critics: jim williamson, luben dimcheff sections and elevations are chosen to emphasize moments where the tool changes in material or thickness. final drawing emphasizes the performative aspects of the tool: scooping, shaving, and cutting.

summer 2012 cornell university: introduction to architecture critics: jim williamson, luben dimcheff the tool enters into a labyrinth dealing with each part of the tool and its performative aspects: shaving, scooping, and cutting. the tool fits exactly into each succesive part of the vessel. once the tool reaches the end, the vessel is unlocked to reveal sections of the tool from multiple elevations.

summer 2012 cornell university: introduction to architecture critics: jim williamson, luben dimcheff a place for observation sited on a cliff. this structure's morphology and circulation are evotlutions of the vessel. the user enters via grand platform stair, then descends via ladder to reach a climatic view of the sea.

fall 2012 cornell: introduction to printmaking instructor: elisabeth meyer these woodcuts deal with the concept of a reveal. fire is introduced to alter the original image while revealing the materiality of the woodblock.

fall 2012 cornell: introduction to printmaking instructor: elisabeth meyer this woodblock series deals with veiling and unveiling. a view of a landscape is revealed after sandblasting the grain of the oak woodblock. simulacra of blinds invite the viewer to project what is concealed. the final piece deals with memory. it is composed of remnants used to create the first two prints, displaying the materials otherwise concealed in the print process, while also creating a new view. the ceremonial box houses the final print and is made from the woodblock.
intervention fall 2012 cornell: intro to printmaking instructor: elisabeth meyer this installation attempts to address the issue of gendered spaces. titled 'men's room' two screenď€ prints on mirrors are concealed behind three curtains of jersey mesh, creating a room within a room, in a former urinal stall. the booth speaks to confessional and kissing booths alike. the booth seeks to destabalize normative bathroom behavior, and points to the notion that gender is performative.
