Que hacía falta una pulsera que representara a los que saben que el cambio de nuestro planeta es posible. Que faltaba algo que nos uniera, que nos elevara.

Que había que crear el símbolo de los Ciudadanos del Mundo.

That a bracelet was needed to represent those who know that change is posible.

That something that could unite us was missing, something that could elevate us.

That a symbol of the Citizens of the World needed to be created.

Y este símbolo caminó montañas, y voló cielos, y cruzó mares y este símbolo llegó a los Ciudadanos del Mundo.

And that symbol walked mountains, and flew in the sky, and crossed seas, and that symbol reached the Citizens of the World.

En esta aventura nos acompañaron mujeres valientes, creativos, viajeros, poetas…. Todos haciendo nudos dentro de este tejido al que llamamos sueño colectivo.

And in this journey brave women came along, creatives, travelers, poets… All of them making knots in this weaving we call collective dream.

Y un día… sentados en la mesa con una vela en el centro, nos dimos cuenta que el sueño

¡YA ES!

Qué en dónde habían dudas, ahora había propósito.

Qué en dónde no habían oportunidades, ahora había prosperidad.

Qué en dónde había miedo, ahora había esperanza.

And one day… sitting in the table with a candle in the center we realized… the dream ALREADY IS!

We realized that where there was doubt, not there is purpose. That when there were no opportunities, now there is prosperity. And that when there was fear, now there is hope.

Queridos amigos de Wakami, Bienvenidos a este espacio, a la Embajada Wakami, donde la única visa requerida es tener un sueño para el mundo. Este es un espacio donde queremos que cada uno de ustedes se sienta como en casa, un espacio donde sus ideas son bienvenidas y donde están invitados a formar parte de esta comunidad con un sueño compartido. . . un sueño con mesas compartidas, con mamás y papás que trabajan y prosperan, y niños y niñas que estudian y juegan, un lugar donde la Tierra nos cuida y nosotros cuidamos de ella.

Este espacio está destinado a que conozcas gente nueva, aprendas sobre diferentes perspectivas, tomes pequeñas acciones para construir el mundo en el que queremos vivir, para formar parte de este gran sueño colectivo.

Wakami significa YA ES. Para nosotros, significa que este mundo de nuestros sueños ya existe, y se vuelve evidente una acción a la vez. En un mundo que a veces se siente polarizado y con muchos desafíos, en Wakami, creamos este espacio para que surja este mundo. Juntamos manos, compartimos mesas, compartimos talentos y abrimos los ojos para ver cómo se desarrolla frente a nosotros.

Toma un respiro, ve hacia adentro, siente este espacio, vuélvete parte de nosotros. Ya nadie de nosotros está solo.

Ya no peleamos. Soñamos, nos damos la mano, creamos.

Please feel welcome to this space, to this Wakami Embassy, where the only visa required is to have a dream for the world. This is a space where we want each of you to feel at home, a space where your ideas are welcome and where you are invited to become part of this community with a shared dream . . . one with shared tables, with moms and dads that work and prosper, and boys and girls that study and play, in a place where the Earth takes care of us and we take care of the Earth. This space is meant for you to get to know new people, to learn about different perspectives, to take small actions toward building the world in our dreams, to become part of this big collective dream.

Wakami means IT ALREADY IS. For us, it means this world in our dreams already is, and it becomes evident one action at a time. In a world that sometimes feels like it is polarized and with many challenges, in Wakami – together - we hold the space for this world to emerge. We share hands, we share tables, we share talents and open our eyes to watch it unfold in front of us.
