Welcome! Welcome to Wakefield School’s Summer Program 2012! Dear Parents, Wakefield’s summer program has been developed to reinforce the school’s focus on excellence in education, enrichment in the arts and sciences, and development of each child’s self-worth and compassion for others. The program’s goals are promoting the growth and development of each child’s mind and body, as well as providing an outlet for recreation and fun over the summer months. Located on Old Tavern Road—just north of U.S. Route 66 (exit #31), on the outskirts of The Plains, Virginia— Wakefield’s beautiful 50 acre campus offers a wide range of facilities and services. It enables us to offer a broad and varied range of activities that will give each child a chance to develop his or her character and abilities, as well as enjoy a wonderful summer vacation.

Whether the interests are academic, artistic, or athletic, we have programs to enrich each child’s creativity and skills in an atmosphere of excellence and fun. Many of Wakefield School’s Summer Programs are created and run by our own faculty and staff. Our counselors are committed to providing your child with a safe, positive environment. We are excited about the wide range of programs we have to offer you this summer. Please keep in mind that openings are limited. Be sure to get your completed registration (online or paper registration, medical and emergency forms, and full payment) to us right away. We look forward to seeing you this summer. Sincerely,
