PupilsfromFS2-Year2attendwholeschoolassembliestwiceaweek. OurFS1pupilswillbeinvitedtotakepartinspecialassemblieswith therestoftheschooleitherinsmallgroupsorasafullunit.Theyare alsoinvitedtomeetspecialvisitorsandtoattendsomeworkshops whentheyareageappropriate.
Assessments

Foodisanimportantpartofourschooldayandthere’splenty ofnutritiononthemenutokeepyourchildhappyandhealthy. FOPPS-ParentTeacherAssociation
FOPPS(FriendsofPre-PrepSchool)existstoprovideanopportunityforfriendlyandco-operativecontact betweenparentsandschool.Itisrunbyacommittee,withthreemembersofstaffandthePresident,whois theHeadTeacher.TheChairpersonandotherofficersareelectedannually.TheAnnualGeneralMeeting,to whichallparentsareinvited,isheldduringtheautumnterm.
Wearefortunatetohaveaveryactivecommittee,whichputsalotoftimeandeffortintoarrangingavariety ofsocialandfundraisingeventsduringtheyear.Wearealwayslookingfornewparentstojointhecommittee andwouldinviteyoutoexpressyourinteresttoMrsButlerorMrsGill.

KeyWorker
Akeyworkerhasspecialresponsibilityforagroupof childrenwithintheEarlyYearsFoundationStage (EYFS)setting.Byestablishingameaningful attachmentwitheachchildwithintheirgroup,thekey workerwillenableeachuniquechildtothriveand growwithinallareasoftheirpersonalandsocial development.
Thekeyworkerwillalsoaidthechildtoprogressinall otherareasoftheEYFScurriculum.Theywillenable thechildandparents/carerstobuilduprelationships withaspecificmemberofstaff,thusensuring informationissharedtoprovidethebestpossible careforeachchild.

Parentsshouldinformtheschoolinwritingofallmedicalconditionsorspecialdietaryneeds.Itisvitalforthe children’shealththatthisformiscompletedandupdatedifappropriate.
Ifyourchildisunwellandwefeeltheymayneedparacetamol/antihistaminesduringtheday,wewillphone youtoaskpermissiontoadministerthis.Ifyourchildhasprescribedmedicationthatweneedtoadminister,we askthatyoucompleteamedicationform.Medicationformsareavailablefromtheschooloffices.
Ifitisnecessaryforchildrentohaveprescribedmedicationin(eitheronashortorlongtermbasis)parentsare requestedto:
