TOGETHER WE CAN
DEVELOP CHAMPIONS
WELCOME TO THE DEACON CLUB It all starts with a vision for success. When Tony Bresky accepted his new position as Head Coach for the men’s tennis program, he laid out a five-year vision to build a championship team. That vision included investments in facilities, recruiting and academic support to attract and develop elite student-athletes. This past year, men’s tennis captured its first indoor, outdoor and individual national championships in program history. Now it’s our turn to lay out a five-year vision for how we can build championship teams across all our programs. The “5 for 10” campaign is a new Deacon Club initiative that strives to elevate the Deacon Club Annual Fund to a $10 million annual operation within five years. By pledging out our Deacon Club support for a five-year period, we are allowing Wake Forest Athletics to better plan investment decisions to increase academic support, recruiting and training resources for our student-athletes. I ask each of you to consider how your support of Wake Forest Athletics can help develop our next group of champions. Go Deacs!

DEVELOPING CHAMPIONS
The Deacon Club is the fundraising unit for Wake Forest Athletics. In an effort to support the Athletic Department’s vision of Developing Champions, we are driven by three primary objectives:
2
1
To provide scholarships for academically deserving student-athletes.
2
To equip our student-athletes with first-class facilities.
3
To develop programs to further engage members with Wake Forest Athletics.
“ I can’t begin to thank all of the Deacon Club members enough for the opportunity to play the game I love
at such an incredible school. Whether it be a Deacon Club event or simply walking into the new baseball facility, I’m constantly reminded how lucky I am to be a part of such a kind and generous community. I can’t imagine being anywhere but Wake Forest, and I wouldn’t be here without your support.” LOGAN HARVEY (’19), BASEBALL

ANNUAL FUND
Through the Deacon Club Annual Fund, alumni, parents and fans have the opportunity to impact the trajectory of Wake Forest Athletics and the lives of our student-athletes. As the Deacon Club provides more funding for student-athlete scholarships, the Athletic Department is able to invest in facilities and recruiting at a higher level. Contributions to the Deacon Club, therefore, not only fund the education of student-athletes, but also provide coaches with the resources necessary to attract and develop the best student-athletes in the country.

NEXT LEVEL CAMPAIGN Join the Deacon Club’s Next Level campaign by increasing your Deacon Club contribution to the next giving level. Last year, thanks to individuals increasing their contribution, Wake Forest invested an additional $500,000 into its student-athletes and programs. In this win-win initiative, you’ll enjoy additional perks and benefits while helping our student-athletes perform at the next level, both on and off the field.
110% CAMPAIGN Over the past eight years, the Deacon Club has encouraged its members to pledge 110% of their previous year’s donation in honor of studentathletes who give 110% to Wake Forest in everything they do. With your help, we’ve raised $3.9 million, funded 65 scholarships and increased recruiting budgets, training resources and more. As you pledge to renew your own membership, consider joining the effort. The more people who give 110%, the more opportunities our student-athletes will have to excel for years to come.
