ON THE COVER

DANNY HAMPSON wakeskating. It’s hard to believe that the fourteen-year-old kid I met on a Monday morning at The Wakeboard Camp is still blowing the door of that cage wide open, and still flying higher than ever. Danny has never “caged” himself into being any one sort of rider. Over the last ten years, wakeskating has taken many turns and changed its perception of what the future will hold more times than I can count. Boat, PWC, Cable, Winch, flip tricks, rails. Through it all, Danny has maintained an uncanny grasp on all aspects of the sport, never losing sight of his end goal, to have fun on the water. Put a handle in his hands and he’s home. As an overall ambassador for the sport, there is no one better, and I couldn’t be more proud to call him my friend, my best man, and my business partner. “Only love can cage you,” has become more than a tattoo or even a personal VIDEO

motto for Dan. In all aspects of his life he remains free to fly high and

Always available to lend a hand or just ready for anything, Trask is that guy on a team trip. He’ll be up early and ready, whether it’s driving the chase boat or slayshing his face off. Knowing how to get a good photo is a huge skill that not all wakeboarders have.
