By Jeff Barton The ability to harness one’s inner animal instinct can prove overwhelmingly beneficial, yet intensely elusive at the same time. In its purest form, calling upon one’s will for survival can prove the most motivating factor of all. Surely you’ve heard the adage “a cornered, injured animal is the most dangerous animal of all.” That particular animal, in its struggle for mortality, will stop at nothing to defend its life. Danny Harf has made a name for himself, moreso than any other rider, as a shredder who can call upon this same instinct for survival when drawn into wake battle. In many critical moments, when D Block (his moniker among his peers) finds himself wounded by a fall or two in competition, can overcome the human inclination of giving up, throwing in the towel and living to ride another day. Harf approaches these situations like the
