Wake of steel 2012 More than 5000 viewers enthusiastically watched the international wakeboard-elite performing their tricky moves on the 65m long obstacle-ship located in the Linzer harbour. It took no less than 8 months of intensive preparations to make such an event possible – an event which had never taken place like that before. Among others, Shape Obstacles was entrusted with its technical execution and construction.

Shape Elements The floating elements constructed with the proven HDPE-weldment offer a wide range of possibilities. The straight standard-element can either be used horizontal, vertical or bent which makes it
extremely practical and economical for its user. It can easily be rearranged and put together with other elements the next season in order to make it more diversified. The Connector Elements can be used both sides. On its top you will find a rim in order to turn it into a rooftop, on the bottom the Connector is rounded up. These Connector Elements are also available for the vertical sliders.

Kicker and Spine are like all other elements floatable HDPE-constructions. The individual components can easily be mixed and put together. For the Spine two kickers and a Connector Element are needed. The smooth radius and the different sizes guarantee enough fun for every type of slider - newcomers as well as professionals will have their pop! We very willingly construct a kicker just as you like it!

Team-series Daniel Fetz: Why pipes? To slide over the Shape Pipe was by far the best experience I’ve had in 15 years of wakeboarding. On the one hand it’s a real challenge, on the other hand it’s super-smooth and condones little mistakes. The significance of this obstacle lies in the combination of its individual elements, namely the elements Elbow, Roof, Wall and Pipe. The stability of the obstacle is guaranteed due to an anchor plate which is fixed in between the elements.
