My name is Wei-Ke Cheng, and I come from Taiwan, the island in Pacific Ocean. My father is an architect and the owner of Anyi Construction Company. From then on, my father’s works always attract me. In my childhood, he loved to take me to the construction site, and show me the amazing process of constructing architecture frequently. Since those experiences, I have decided to become an architect and designer; concurrently, I realize that architect is a noble job because it’s related to people’s life and society wherever. I also have been interested in art, especially performance art, since I was in high school and art become a part of my life. Hence, I devoted myself to every poster or model competitions in high school, and be awarded the prize many times. Those experiences encouraged me to focus on creations such as painting, model, movie and performance intensely and also inspired me to participate in the field of architecture more than before because for me, art is always associated with architecture.

+ Introduction -------------------------------------------------------------------We, human-beings usually live in capital society; however, when our ego which exists in our deep heart wake up one day, they will be powerful voices which ask us to escape from the shackles of capital society. The innovation will be started. In the final, we won’t be like the animals which were disciplined by capitalism, and we should be the individual one who lives in the city freely. We were like frogs living in boiling water, and we were used to this temperature. It seems that we are accustomed to the regulation that has been set down since long time ago. As the result, our languages were deprived of education, our songs were deprived of TV show, our bodies were deprived of porn industry, our cities were deprived of policeman, and our friends were deprived of salary. We are the tool to keep the world rolling, but we deserve more. After we are delivered, life will be recorded like data by society. Those codes are the identity of every single person, and our behavior will be marked like a series of computer data. People try to be anonymity to escape from reality; thus, the computer network creates a virtual world for people who can hide themselves. In the real world, we remove our armor, status and benefit, and we’ll turn back to face to real self eventually. This is the main reason that people stand out to fight for what they want and require, and all action will become the directed strength to supervise the government. communicate with others.

+ Analysis of riots ------------------------------------------------------------------------------Consequently, the action of demonstration will be epidemic in the future because the demonstration not only represents the voice from citizens, but also becomes the force to innovate our habitation. Thus, my purpose might establish a new system to deal with this position. The easiest method to occupy a small area is to create a space full of it. I attempt many combinations of materials and structures to design a proper installation. The installation which can be held by a man will be carried to the spot, and be expanded as well as assembled to get the maximum of occupation. Concurrently, if there are other people conducting the same action, the behavior of occupation will be like a web system and be extended swiftly. Page.

When the police catch up to the spot of demonstration, those installations can be disassembled in a short time, and be gathered again somewhere else instantly. Introuduction -----------------------------------------

I tried to transform the body activity into the real architect space from reorganizing the performance art, and then the performance would be re-explained by digital tools. The device isn’t a sculpture or a fixed art piece as common crowds thought, but it’s a flexible and expandable installation which can establish the real space when it performs. The crowd could experience the space while the installation was performing. Visitors would become the artists when they took every step because it was all the process of this performance art. There is no boundary of performance art and the visitors, and it’s same as that there is no border between human and space. Another purpose is the way of fighting the identity of modern art. All the arts are chosen by the government or current. The individual artists have no chance to publicize their own project in museum, public theater or gallery. In this case, the device not only performs itself completely, but also struggles against the fixed and existing rules in museum or gallery.

Concept

The artist was trying to test his bodyandrepeated this boring event again and again.Actually, every life, creature lived in thisworldwere repeating some regular behaviors.It looks like a behavior in wasting your life,but it creates a new method to think aboutthemeaningful of life. School has the obligation to educate student to learn the basic behavior, so educating them invisibly is the best way for students to learn in their daily life. The school’s shape was designed from the three visual centers, “Nature center” , “Community Center “ and “City Center”, and these three centers represented three basic necessaries which influenced on children behavior seriously. When I searched for the information about ICON and LOCAL, I surprisingly discovered that Dubai was extremely different with other cities. I defined this outcome called “the data conflict”, and started to find out more information on Dubai. I figured out that Dubai didn’t have its LOCAL’s image, and the identity of LOCAL in Dubai was actually the miniature of whole world’s ICON. In my proposal, I tried to transfer the image of ICON from worlds into Dubai and also made Dubai become a newborn city from those data. Page.

+ Introduction

Programmes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------This project was designed to exaggerate the human behavior by a series of linking device in this installation. By reproducing the biological behavior found out the body connection of creature; thus, I started to study the joints and body structure of the Shrimp which really inspired me. This device had a simple but interesting concept to transmit force which was connected a series of joints consistently to the “artificial spine”, and then “artificial spine” would transmit the same force to “Elastic Steel envelope” to complete all action. “Human body”, “artificial spine” and “Elastic Steel envelope”, those processes of expanding hunam performance express the beauty of human behavior.
