Opening Ceremonies & Concert

Tuesday, July 5 Quail Cove Amphitheater Join us for the official Opening Ceremonies as we kick off the 2022 Steel Days celebration! The ceremonies will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5 in the outdoor amphitheater at Quail Cove Park (851 E. 700 N.) with the Posting of the Colors and the Pledge of Allegiance. Come meet the newly crowned Miss American Fork Royalty and the 2022 Grand Marshals. The Opening Ceremonies will be followed by the American Fork Symphony and Wasatch Show Band patriotic musical celebration concert at 7:00 p.m. The American Fork Symphony is a valuable addition to the cultural life of American Fork and surrounding communities. As part of a non-profit organization, the symphony provides an opportunity for all instrumental musicians to develop their talents while providing enrichment to the musical life of the valley. The Wasatch Show Band is a community big band based in American Fork and is headed by John Miller. The mission of the Wasatch Music Alliance, consisting of the Wasatch Winds and the Wasatch Show Band, is to foster and promote the involvement of young people and adults in music and musical performance. The group performs Jazz, Motown, and popular songs from today and years past at local special events, festivals, and private parties. With soulful horns, tight vocals, and driving rhythms, the Wasatch Show Band is sure to entertain.
