YOUNG HEARING Reasons Why People Don’t Get Their Hearing Tested... and Why They Should! THE EXCUSES: • If you look right at me or speak up I can hear just fine. • Background noise makes it hard to hear and there are a lot of people that mumble. • I have “selective hearing”. • My primary care physician hasn’t recommended a hearing test so I don’t need one. • Hearing aids will make me look older and I don’t want my boss to know my hearing is going. • Hearing aids are expensive and I’ve heard that they really don’t work. • I don’t have time to deal with hearing loss.
WHY YOU SHOULD GET YOUR HEARING CHECKED: • Rule out what could be a serious medical issue. • Reduce effects of long term hearing loss, like memory problems • Improve productivity at work • Keep active and help prevent issues with social isolation or depression • Reduce stress or fatigue • Make life better for your family members, coworkers, and friends
People delay hearing testing because they don’t realize that treatment for hearing loss can change their lives. Don’t Delay, Call Today! • Hearing Testing • Ear Cleaning • Hearing aids • Custom Shooting protection • Filtered ear plugs • Custom Headphones for music, running, exercise, motorcycles etc.

Welcome to the
World Folkfest
The World Folkfest in Springville, Utah, invites the public to join its celebration of world cultures, music and dance when visitors from around the globe present five evening performances July 28-Aug. 1, 2015. Folk dancers and musicians from Belgium, Chile, Colombia, the Republic of Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Peru, Poland and Taiwan are expected to participate in the 2015 World Folkfest. They will be joined by Native American performing group Morning Star and clogging group Rocky Mountain Express representing the United States. The week-long festival will also include a free street dance on Monday, July 27, where the public can learn simple folk dances from the Folkfest’s international visitors to accompaniment by live musicians. With its first performances held in 1986, the World Folkfest has grown to become one of the most prominent festivals of folk dance and music in the United States. In the tradition of popular European folk dance festivals that attract thousands of visitors, the World Folkfest annually invites talented folk dance troupes from around the world to travel to Springville and showcase their cultures through the exciting and vibrant medium of folk dance.
The groups perform in beautifully crafted costumes of their homeland and to music provided by live musicians playing unique traditional instruments. The performers pay their own expenses to travel to the Folkfest, underlining their eagerness to share their cultures with the people of Utah. While here, the performers stay with volunteer host families in the Utah County area, providing local families with a unique opportunity to experience another culture first-hand. All groups attending this year’s Folkfest will perform during each evening performance, giving audiences a trip around the world in one night. Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. on July 28, 29, 30 and 31 and Aug. 1 at the Spring Acres Arts Park outdoor amphitheater, 620 S. 1350 E., Springville, Utah. This is a change in time from previous years because of the large number of groups attending this year’s Folkfest. Prior to performances, there will be a variety of food and craft booths available to audience members as well as pre-show entertainment. Some seating is available at the Arts Park, but audience mem bers can also bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Admission is $10 for adults; $8 for students, military members and senior citizens; $5 for children ages 3 to 12; and free for children under 3. Groups of 10 or more may purchase tick-

U.S.A. Morning Star According to ancient legend, Morning Star was the son of the Sun who took on human form and visited the earth many years ago to bring knowledge and wisdom to the human race. Today, the Morning Star continues to symbolize not only wisdom and knowledge, but also truth, strength and virtue. With this in mind, Gary Fields founded a Native American performing group in 1982 and named it after the ancient legend. Based in Utah County, Morning Star performs various Native American dances from the exciting Plains Fancy Dance to the serious Sioux Sneak Attack Dance, the humorous Mohawk Partridge Courting Dance and the thrilling and popular Hoop Dance. The dancers’ colorful costumes are authentic and represent the Chemehuevi, Cree, Hopi, Lakota Sioux, Navajo, Ojibay and Yakima nations. Morning Star has performed in more than 30 countries and has been an annual participant at the Springville World Folkfest since the festival’s beginning.

Micro-homes can offer many advantages In difficult economic times, many people see home ownership as out of reach. Fortunately, there are many options to consider. This includes the new trend of “micro-homes”, such as those constructed by Life Homes, a company based in Provo, Utah. Micro-homes have many advantages. They offer excellent pricing per square foot, low monthly payments, the option to expand and customize the home easily, and the ability to be self-sustaining. One of the greatest advantages to a micro-home is the flexibility they provide. Life Homes start out with a single unit that is 8 ½ feet wide, 13 feet tall, 18 feet long. All homes contain a kitchen, living room, a full bath and a loft bedroom. The homes are made with interchangeable parts, which means that they can be easily expanded as the need arises. Two or more units can be built together, and new stories can be added to the top of the home as needed. Homes can be built to be portable, so that you do not have to buy land, or can be set up permanently on a foundation. These homes can also be constructed to be “off the grid”, meaning that they sustain themselves. They can be equiped with solar panels on the roof to generate enough electricity, and can have a roof system to collect and purify rainwater. Any location with at least 8 inches of rain a year will provide enough water for a family of four. There is an optional greenhouse extension, which can provide a year-round indoor garden. The houses can also be built with its own septic system. All of these factors combine to create a money-saving, self-sustaining lifestyle. Finally, the price range makes these homes incredibly affordable. Pricing starts at around $19,000, which means that with payments of around $400/month, an owner could pay it off in only 4-7 years, instead of the typical 15 to 30. To Learn more Call us Today!
