C.A.R.E. WEEKENDS

COMMUNITY ACTION AND RELIEF EXPERIENCE C.A.R.E. weekends are 1-2 hour service opportunities offered every weekend during the academic year. These projects help our students connect with our community and get engaged in service.

SERVICE DAY

Service Day brings students and the community together to make an impact. Twice a year, an entire day is dedicated to bring students, faculty, and staff together to complete service projects for local organizations and private residents in need.

LOVE HEALS

Love Heals is an annual event designed to assist members of our community who struggle to access medical care. The event is a team effort between a variety of community partners and offers attendees vision and dental care, haircuts, and consultations.

VIRTUAL VOLUNTEERING The CHE has identified a number of exciting ways to engage in service virtually. Visit wallawalla.edu/che or use any of the QR codes for opportunities to get involved.

FLOOD RECOVERY

In February 2020, the Walla Walla Valley and surrounding counties were significantly affected by flooding. CHE is working with the Blue Mountain Region Long-Term Recovery Group to respond to the needs.

Food insecurity is an issue facing college students across the nation and WWU students are not immune. Operated by the University Church, Eden’s Pantry is an initiative to meet this basic need.

BLUE ZONES PROJECT®

Walla Walla University and Adventist Health have partnered with the Blue Zones Project, which has come to the Walla Walla Valley to present a community transformation program that could improve the overall health of our community.

MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP

The Millennium Fellowship Program is a leadership development program with the goal of making progress on the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals. WWU students have an opportunity to apply for the program and make a positive social impact. CHECK OUT ALL THE PROJECTS ON OUR WEBSITE!
