#Prologue FOR TOO LONG, WE DESIGNER, MOST OF US NEARING ME HAVE BEEN LYING TO OURSELVES. WE SAY WE’RE HERE TO MAKE THE WORLD BETTER, WHEN IN FACT, WE’RE SERVING OURSELVES. AND WHY? WE ARE DRIVEN BY OUR OWN DESIRES TO GET MONEY IN AN EASY WAY, BY FOLLOWING FORMER MODULES. OUR NEED TO STAY IN EASE ECLIPSE OUR DUTY TO PROGRESS. I THINK WE DESIGNER BUILT THE WORLD IN EVERY FIELD, FROM A CHAIR TO A MASSIVE SKYSCRAPER. THEREFORE, WE HAVE MORE RESPONSIBILITY TO PROMOTE HUMAN WORLD’S FACILITIES. AND THE TRUTH IS THIS: WE HAVE FORGOT OUR COMMISSION. I STILL REMEMBER HOW THE VERY FIRST TIME I READ LE CORBUSIER’S URBANISME, I WAS TOTALLY SHOCKED BY HIS PROSPECTIVE AND DETERMINATION, ALTHOUGH SOME OF THE POINTS WERE PROVED TO BE WRONG. HOWEVER, IT WAS THAT SINGULARITY IN HISTORY PUSHES HUMAN SOCIETY FORWARD. THAT IS A DESIGNER SHOULD KEEP IN MIND AND PUT INTO PRACTICE.

HIERARCHY NEVER DIED #1.1 Hierarchy has existed for thousand years in human society. Both estern and western have developed each system in which people or things are put at various levels or ranks according to their importance. Nowaday, modern society seems to be more free and equal. But the fact is : hierarchy has transformed into some forms can’t be easily found. Ancient China had a solid and precise system specified people what to say or wear .etc. And it is a good subject to analyse.
Human be claded by 3 levels of space which are cloth size, house size and city size. Each level shows people’s class in diffenent ways.
size S
size M
size L
Every stage of ancient China reprented each syle of dressing, further more, the fact that people in different class dressed in different garment to show their stature.
5
Chinese ancient clothing can be divided by 3 sizes of Sleeves. Each dynasty has different pattern of sleeves. Gradation of sleeves’ size is the most obvious feature of stature. Fundamentally, the higher stature people was in, the bigger sleeves be. The bigger sleeves be, the useless sleeves were.

Enclosure of Urban Evolvement #1.2
Enclosure of Urban Evolvement #1.2
The Capitalism has failed us.
Once upon a time, we fought for our rights, freedom and equality, when we finally broke away lords and royals’ solid control.
Work hard, economic freedom, industrial manufacturing and trade market had once emerged everyone’s imagination about good lives including us, designers,
We fell into another vicious cycle – Capitalism.
in fact, we’re lying to ourselves. We are not guaranteed success.
People have put enclosure behind for years. We did never eliminate class difference.
Our children will not have a better life than we did. Ten million of us can’t even buy us a house, even though we desperately design one and another. We’ve been crippled by trade market, money games, by politics, by entitlements. We are entitled to nothing. We human society was built on the spirit of unity. We together build our future. We together build our tribes to defend invasion. We together build our nation to expand footprint. And the problem with Capitalism is that it destroys our cooperation by separate us into different classes.
Class difference never truely died. Class difference has rooted in humans’ cells. Class difference has transformed its appearance from solid laws to Socioeconomic status. Class difference can be found out through observing real estate market. And we can reverse class difference by design.
Begun with indagating the development of Eastern custume, continued studying the series of Architecture & Urban form history. I extracted the meaning under their representational form, including the dynasty, stages, culture, profession. Trying put the Class consciousness' prototype of former society transforming into modern society in the aggregate. Returning to modern cities observation, discovered the main target of 19 century’s enclosure has conversed from farms & factories into housing & business district. So I call these urban phenomenon " Taipei city state ", and tried to overflow the modren cities' stage gap on these basis.

SITE STRATEGY #3.2
[Harry Potter ] Albus Dumbledore using deluminator to extract lamp’s light.
Site Location
Tourist viewing painting Mona Lisa.
Attention be absorbed by color block.
Inspired by Harry Potter's tool "deluminator", which abosorb lights. People's attention can be easily drew away like deluminator. In my country, building's facade is always filled with Signboards, which covers its original outline. I create a building display mode which can switch due to different function needed. Signboard on buildings is deluminator.

Combing two types of LED pannel turns architecture into a big signboard or open cinema.etc due to different activities requirements. Maximizing architecture outline's posibility. LED walls can be uesd for briefing or displaying pics and videos. By controlling LED's on & off, architecture can be any types we want anytime.
