PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS

Greetings Brothers!

I pray that this note finds you and your families in good health and great spirits.

We are proud to deliver our second issue of our News Letter: The Wall Street Alpha Report.

Over the last few weeks, we have been working diligently to further our commitment to serving our communities while supporting and encouraging our Brothers during these times. Last month, we sponsored a webinar that highlighted men’s health as it relates to prostate cancer awareness. We partnered with Columbia University Medical and the Herbert Irving cancer center. The webinar was facilitated by Ms. Andria Reyes from Columbia Medical Center, which outlined a number of preventative measures as well as various treatment opportunities. We encourage all Brothers to get screened if your age and current health falls within the recommended criteria. To further our men’s health initiatives, the Brothers of Kappa Xi Lambda Chapter hosted our annual Health, Hike and Fellowship event on the Palisades Long Path Trail. The event gave the Brothers and guests an opportunity to experience a day in the outdoors, while observing social distancing guidelines. The fellowship event has now become legendary in Wall Street Alphas lore and Brothers are looking forward to hosting the event twice a year, spring and fall.

In addition, our voter registration and census initiatives were a huge success. I was super proud to have my daughter completed her voter registration with us and recently casted her ballot this week. We also encouraged and excited by the commitment from the Brothers in furthering our mentorship program: The Alpha GENTS. The Brothers recently broke the Chapter’s fundraising record during a one day initiative in support of our mentorship program. I want to thank the Brothers who contributed to the fundraising drive. Let’s go out and break the recent record!

Finally my Brothers, we are just a few days from the 2020 national and local elections. We encourage you to set a plan, as the lines will be long. Take some water, charge your battery, bring a lounge chair, bring some friends and family and stroll to the polls. Encourage your neighbors and loved ones who are local or across the country to get out and vote on Tuesday. We all know too well that A Voteless People Is A Hopeless People. We are living and creating history Brothers so let’s go out and do our part. Onward!
