Dear Chair Qi,

This letter is to confirm that Assistant Professor G. Tony Bell has been selected as a participant for the Faculty Fellowship Program in Israel trip during the Summer of 2022.

The Faculty Fellowship Program in Israel is a competitive academic fellowship that invites university and college faculty members to apply to participate in an intensive Program in Israel.

The program's central focus is to link scholars from diverse disciplines with their Israeli counterparts for the purpose of initiating cross-cultural and international exchanges and fostering relationships and collaborations. The program also entails touring major sites and locations of interest in Israel. During the program, participants meet professionals and experts involved in government, industry, education, media, economy and other sectors to understand the many facets of Israel's evolving national and international policies. The participants explore the history of the region, its diverse and complex multi-faith population and gaine a deeper awareness of the many contemporary challenges faced by the country together with witnessing the creativity, spirit, ingenuity, passion and energy that Israelis bring to tackling these issues. The participants listen to, debate and discuss first-hand with speakers about Israel's democracy, human rights and the rule of law, all within the context of the contemporary Middle East neighborhood that Israel resides in.
