Luck O’ the Irish Treasure Hunt & Rainbow Crafts March 17, 11:30 am-2:00 pm Civic Park Join us for a treasure hunt in Civic Park! Each child will receive a goodie bag and enjoy crafts. Cost is $25 for one child/$50 for two children, course 31363, at: https://bit.ly/ArtsRecEvents.
Family Movie Night in the Park – Hop March 26, 7:00-9:00 pm Registration ends on March 24 at 11:30 pm Civic Park Families will enjoy an outdoor movie experience of the film Hop. Eggstravaganza & Family Picnic April 3, 11:00 am-1:00 pm Civic Park Bring a blanket and picnic for the family! Each child will receive a goodie bag full of pre-stuffed eggs and Easter themed activities. Dress in your holiday best as a spring photo backdrop will be available. Takeaway art activity provided by Center for Community Arts. No Egg Hunt, but Civic Park will have an Easter-themed scavenger hunt for families. Backstage Tours March 27, April 17, May 22, & June 19 10:00 am Lesher Center for the Arts Curious what goes on behind the curtain? Want to learn more about the history and future of the Lesher Center for the Arts? Then join us on a special Backstage Tour of the Lesher Center for the Arts! City of Walnut Creek “Clue” Scavenger Hunt March 29- April 4 Something popular has been stolen from Walnut Creek! Was it Colonel Lesher, Professor ShadyLand or Mr. Walnut? Visit three different parks and walk around to find the suspect, location, and item that was stolen! Participants can win a grand prize gift valued at $100. REGISTRATION POLICIES
PRE-REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is required for participation in programs. Please do not attend a class if you have not been registered.
CONFIRMATION: Confirmations can be printed or emailed upon registration. If you do not receive your confirmation, please call (925) 295-1490.
WITHDRAWALS: If you wish to withdraw, call us at least five (5) business days before the start date for a refund. A $12 withdrawal fee per person, per class will be charged. No refunds or credits after this time. Refunds are processed within three weeks. No refunds for non-attendance or lack of student participation.
TRANSFERS: If you wish to transfer to another course within the same session, call us at least five (5) full business days before the start date for a transfer to be processed.
QUALITY ASSURANCE: If, after attending the first class, you are not happy with the quality of the program, call us right away. Tell us what was wrong so we can make it right.
WAITING LISTS: Waiting lists are established once a class has reached maximum enrollment. If space opens or a new class is created, you will be notified. CANCELLATION: A class may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. A full refund is available. If a session is canceled due to weather and no make-up class is offered, a refund will be provided.
MAKE-UP CLASSES: Make-up dates for missed classes will only be granted for class cancellations resulting from inclement weather or from direction of the Arts + Recreation Department.
ADA ACCOMMODATIONS: In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the City of Walnut Creek encourages those with disabilities to participate in our programs. If you have any special needs that may require specific accommodations, please call (925) 295-1490.
PAYMENT & ACCOUNT CREDIT POLICIES: • Fees must be paid in full at time of registration by cash, credit card or check payable to the City of Walnut Creek, unless otherwise stated. • All payments are processed upon receipt. • Supply fees are payable to the instructor at the first class. Please do not include supply fees with your registration fees. Supply fees are non-refundable. • If payment plans are offered, customers must provide a credit card for automatic payment processing. • All credits on account are valid for a maximum of one year.
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
Are you interested in financial aid to participate in a class, workshop, camp, swim lesson, or preschool program offered by the Center for Community Arts or Walnut Creek Recreation? Whether you’re a young person, adult, senior, or family, we want to hear from you.
Scholarship awards cover a percentage of the class or program fee dependent upon income or participation in a government safety net program.
