Camp Community Arts

Infuse your child’s summer with the arts! Camp Community Arts offers creative arts experiences for students age 5-14 in five unique tracks including visual arts, three-dimensional arts, multidisciplinary arts, performing arts, and digital media arts. Professional Teaching Artists bring their expertise and innovative ideas to your child’s camp experiences. Watch your child’s creativity soar through process-based learning and self-expression! Each camp will focus on one track for the two-week duration, allowing students the time necessary to explore, develop, and grow in each discipline. Camps have half-day, full-day, morning care, and afternoon care options available.

VISUAL ARTS In the visual arts program, students will explore the fundamental concepts of drawing, painting, printmaking, and mixed media. Individualized instruction, feedback, and critique will be provided by our staff of teaching artists as students learn new techniques and expand their artistic repertoire. Students will learn about artists and techniques from around the world for inspiration as they produce their own process-based works of art. Throughout the camp, students will learn about the elements of art, the principles of art, and color theory. Exact disciplines will vary based on the camp and age.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL ARTS In the three-dimensional arts program, students will take their imaginations off paper and canvas and into the next dimension. Students will explore the fundamental concepts of sculpture through various media such as clay, paper, textiles, wood, and more. Individualized instruction, feedback, and critique will be provided by our staff of teaching artists as students learn new techniques and expand their artistic repertoire. Students will learn about artists and techniques from around the world for inspiration as they produce their own process-based works of art. Throughout the camp, students will learn about the elements of art, the principles of art, and color theory. Exact disciplines will vary based on the camp and age. MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTS In the multidisciplinary arts program, students will explore the fundamental concepts of various visual, three-dimensional, digital, and performing arts. Individualized instruction, feedback, and critique will be provided by our staff of teaching artists as students learn new techniques and expand their artistic repertoire. Students will learn about artists and techniques from around the world for inspiration as they produce their own process-based works of art. Exact disciplines will vary based on the camp and age.

PERFORMING ARTS (AGE 5 - 7 ONLY)

In the performing arts program, students will explore the fundamental concepts of dance, music, and theater. Individualized instruction, feedback, and critique will be provided by our staff of teaching artists as students learn new techniques and expand their artistic repertoire. Students will learn about artists and techniques from around the world for inspiration as they produce their own process-based works of art centered in self-expression. Exact disciplines will vary based on the camp and age. DIGITAL MEDIA ARTS (AGES 8 - 14 ONLY)

In the digital media arts program, students will explore the fundamental concepts of photography, video, animation, graphic design, creative coding, and music production. Individualized instruction, feedback, and critique will be provided by our staff of teaching artists as students learn new techniques and expand their artistic repertoire. Students will learn about artists and techniques from around the world for inspiration as they produce their own process-based works of art. Throughout the camp, students will learn how to use contemporary technologies to produce their own digital content and expand their media literacy. Exact disciplines will vary based on the camp and age.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Camp Community Arts is for everyone! Income-based financial aid is available for community members of all ages in partnership with Community Arts Foundation. Please call or visit www.communityarts.org/ community/financialaid for more information.

PAYMENT PLANS: A payment plan is available for half day and full day camp registrations. Customers must provide a credit card (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover) for automatic payment processing. A down payment of 20% of the camp fee is due at the time of registration. The remaining amount will be split equally, due on the 15th of each month with the last payment due June 15, 2021.
