Becoming independent worker… In 2003 I have just developed robotic-mistakeless human resources - accounting payroll making application. Having past experiences as reliable computer data-entry Operator (1983-1984, Payroll, Inventory and General Ledger), knowing the basis of Accounting and I passed post-graduate studies on Accounting and Finance in 1998. In July 2003 I decided leaving again the stated-owned enterprise, “The State”, I was working for to go to work on risk contract basis as Payroll Maker and Accountant. I went to the unknown and uncertaintiness having nothing: No computer, no home phone, no mobile phone, no email box, no Internet. How I survived is a long story making payrolls, sometimes for three customers twice in a month, for 7 years till April 2010, performed mistakenlessly meaning Zero Error. In the period thanks to knowledge of English I was too Commercial and Sales Representative for 2,5 years, since 2006 to 2008… Long story too… In May 2009 after 26 years, beginning in 1983, of working on computers mainly as Sofware Engineer, I enter Tourism branch to become state Tourist Guide & Tour Leader working for Cuban state-owned travel agency Cubanacán, regardless of losing temporarily my effortful-gained independence for three (3) years. I left “The State” again in June 2012 regaining my independence becoming self-employed Tourist Guide & Tour Leader having little more resources than before: • A mobile phone. • A mail box to accessing in cyber-café. • Improved use of Polish and English languages.

• The knowledge of a new economic and emergent brand. • New certified profession.

Nevertheless I went to the unknown and the uncertaintiness: No Internet access and no direct promotion meaning at least a published document to be searched in Google. How I survived… again long story having no computer and facing expensive prices of e-mail access and the internet in cyber-cafés. At these beginnings financially and technologically difficult, I was helped by friends from Argentina (July-October 2013, founding my weblog/website: CV issued: 25.10.2021

Six years this website works alone! From this moment on I started breaking off my isolation, step by step, year by year, technology improvements, to become really small touristic self-employed entrepreneur supplier of services as:

1. Tourist Guide. 2. Tourist Driver Guide. 3. Holiday Planner-Organizer.

4. Representative likewise Travel Agent. 5. Travel Consultant 6. Inbound Tour Operator.

With some other technologies: • Home phone. • Computer. • Internet access over own mobile phone.

• Active accounts in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram. • Active YouTube channel with some produced films.

Difficult roadmap made from 2003 till March 2020 when Covid-19 put me home unemployed because I still have to come to cibercafés to get access to internet. End of freelancing? No, I have got home internet access in November 2020, started promoting online lessons on Spanish language, I became a teacher of my mother-tongue language… and Staying Alive… Recently I started promoting other lessons, teaching and coaching f.e. I have quite long experience in sports too.

My chess professional career and training-couching chessplayers It is quite unknown that after 1959 and since decades, Cuba is one of the world chess powerhouses: One World Senior Champion, two World Junior Champions, and many high-class results in Chess Olympic Games. In 1970 when I was 10-year-old child, around October / November, my daddy, a former professional boxer (https://boxerlist.com/pt/boxer/wilfredo-mayet/58431/) introduced me to chess and left me a book for self-learning. In February-March, 1971, I won the district tournament of category 11-12 years old. The principal proposed my father to play in the category 13-14 years old, I say “Yes” and I won the third place of latter category in the municipality of Marianao, in Havana. In 1972 I entered the Havana’s sport scholarship-campus school for talented sport kids and teenagers where I stayed till 1976, speciality: Chess. From 1973 to 1978 I was one of the forehead scholars (below of 16 years old) and juniors (below 19 years old) chessplayers in Havana and Cuba. I retired from professional chess to start learning Polish language to study in Poland. In 1999 around April I came back to chess as hobby, in December started training and couching privately first a Woman Grand Master, later young chess players, till 2003. One of my pupils, just a man, obtained the title of Grand Master.

Lic. Wilfredo Walter Mayet González Officially I started playing again in professional tournaments in September 2002. Following the road of Cuban Championship in October 2003 my two names and two surnames appeared in the FIDE (International Chess Federation) ranking list with ELO rating 2186, positioned on 256th place of Cuba’s ranking list. For one year, 2004, I enjoyed being again in the Havana’s chess elite. In 2003 I finished writing a book on chess, later not published but which theoretical content was awarded by Cuban Institute of Sports to start thesis to Doctor’s Degree in Sports (second nomination after the University of Havana’s in 1989) by splitting the book in two volumes plus the development of software, but in the same time my former wife fell on deadly cancer in October 2004, died in June the 8th, 2005, and I have no forces to continue this project. Other sports I have trained: Box, judo, table tennis (ping-pong), football, body-building, and swimming. In different times I used to play football and table tennis, later practiced swimming, to support the chess professional practice and its associate psychological stress.

Promoting Online Learning chess for brain development Chess is strategic and tactic game, a war battle camp, and has proven it has positive side effects on human brain. Furthermore it and can help a sick person, e.g. with senil dementia or Alzheimer's desease, in stopping the disease, improving memory and to better dealing with social interaction. I am professionally ranked chessplayer (https://ratings.fide.com/profile/3508510), I won chess tournaments… I taught chess, I was chess trainer to high ranked chessplayers… and I was computer programmer and computer teacher. The world of chess is open to everyone for everything. Want to improve your memory? Let me be your therapist! Want to become a chessplayer? Let's train together! Chess sessions will be adapted to student's personal needs, there will be no dogmas. Hence, I have nothing prepared. Each meeting will be an almost unexpected adventure, but I confirm that I have ideas and a compass about how to proceed in every situation with patience... maybe chess player's, maybe reikist's… maybe because I am Cuban with Cuban character. If you were willing to give me your hand and to go on such an online adventure together, let's go on! My language skills: I live in Havana, Cuba. I am able to conduct meetings fluently in mother-tongue Spanish, and Polish as my first foreign language. English is my second foreign language, know chess language in English, this text is not translation, is written with own words, but my English is self-learned, I don't speak English a lot and like a car parked long time in a garage, I always have problems at starting,. Waiting for you! Best regards, Walter Walter - Think like a chessplayer and programmer (Facebook Page)
