Bambi is a British street artist that has presented numerous works throughout the city of London. Keeping her identity anonymous, she portrays current culture through her unique style, and has received wide recognition for her public murals of such figures as Prince William and Kate Middleton, and a full portrait of Amy Winehouse that is now protected by plexiglass. Inspired by a cross of artists including Bansky, Bambi addresses controversial subject matter that is accessible to a range of viewers. Bambi describes her work as, “I let my work speak for itself. But dreams can inspire me and I am particularly interested in people who spread love and joy…” Bambi studied at St. Martin’s Art College and she continues to live and work in London. "The Modern Day Andy Warhol"
Originally based and working from a studio in Asaka City, Japan, Takashi Murakami quickly established a large scale studio of assistants, taking influence from the work habits of Andy Warhol. Indeed, the Warholian similarities do not end there, for his work draws heavily from the fields of consumer culture, for so long an area deeply imbued in Warhol’s art. Since emerging onto the contemporary art scene, Takashi Murakami’s work has done so much to challenge all that is held as sacred and sacrosanct within the domain of high art. The viewer is confronted by a forty two year old artist who has a grown progressively in stature since an initial spate of small scale exhibitions in his native Japan in 1995. Since then, Takashi Murakami has progressed as an artist to a level where his name can be heard in the same breath as Warhol, Pollock and De Koonig, mooted as someone that can join the upper echelons of the artistic hierarchy in the twenty first century. Takashi Murakami paints in the self titled style of superflat, a method whereby everything within the image is portrayed in two dimensions only, and one that he used extensively during his commissioned work as a designer in 2003 for Louis Vuitton. But the superflat technique finds its origins in far less contemporary surroundings than couture fashion, since it draws upon traditional Japanese techniques pioneered by the panel and screen painters of the sixteenth century. This superflat technique can be seen as a common link between every piece he exhibits.

BANKSY
Banksy has become Britain’s most infamous young artist. Originally from Bristol, he has taken his provocative and inspiring brand of vandalism to sites worldwide, from the Sydney Opera House to Cuba. A media favourite for stunts like hanging his own work in the Tate gallery, but a popular star long before any of this highprofile activity – simply because the people love his stuff. Banksy has not only brought UK graphic art to an international audience but has proven, through his emotional and provocative work, that his generation are not the apathetic and unfeeling demographic they are made out to be. Banksy’s satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti done in a distinctive stencilling technique. Such artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world. Banksy’s work was born of the Bristol underground scene which involved collaborations between artists and musicians. According to author and graphic designer Tristan Manco and the book Home Sweet Home, Banksy “was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol, England. The son of a photocopier technician, he trained as a butcher but became involved in graffiti during the great Bristol aerosol boom of the late 1980s.” Observers have noted that his style is similar to Blek le Rat who began to work with stencils in 1981 in Paris and Jef Aerosol who sprayed his first street stencil in 1982 in Tours (France), and members of the anarchopunk band Crass, which maintained a graffiti stencil campaign on the London Tube System in the late 1970s and early 1980s. However Banksy himself stated on his website that in all actuality he based his work on that of 3D from Massive Attack, stating, “No, I copied 3D from Massive Attack. He can actually draw.”

Mr. BRAINWASH Mr. Brainwash, often stylized as MBW, is the moniker of Parisborn, Los Angeles based filmmaker and street artist Thierry Guetta. According to the Banksy directed film Exit Through the Gift Shop, Guetta began as a proprietor of a clothing store and videographer who evolved into a street artist and gallery artist after being influenced by the street artists he documented through video over the years. According to the film, Guetta was first introduced to street art by his cousin, the street artist Invader. The artwork attributed to Guetta strongly emulates the styles and artistic concepts of wellknown street artists including Banksy and Shepard Fairey. Like Banksy, Guetta employs famous artistic and historic images, many of which are copyrighted, and amends the originals in slight or significant ways. Unlike Banksy, who is shown in the film creating his own work, Guetta states in the film that his work largely consists of “scanning and photoshopping,” acts which are carried out by hired assistants. Guetta further admits that most of the actual artistic process is carried out by hired graphic designers to whom he describes his ideas. Guetta’s first show Life is Beautiful opened in Los Angeles, California, June 18, 2008. In 2009, Guetta created the cover art for Madonna’s Celebration album.

Born in 1969, Nick Walker is one of UK’s leading artists creating beautiful freehand work with the help of stencils. He worked in the field of advertising and also as an illustrator and tried his hands on film set designing as well. In 1992 he began to combine stencils with my freehand work which allowed him to juxtapose almost photographic imagery with the rawness which evolved from conventional graffiti styles. ‘Stencils introduce an impact element to my work. The appeal of stencils is that they allow me to take an image from anywhere – dissect any part of life – and recreate it on any surface. I try to add an element of humor or irony to some paintings to add a little light relief to the walls. Painting is a form of escapism for me and if my work allows the spectator to do the same thing, then I’ve achieved more than I set out to do.’ Nick Walker’s recent work had been displayed in exhibitions like “Two Floors”, Soho (London), a solo exhibition sponsored by Absolute Vodka, at Goodge Place, London, “The Underclass”, a solo exhibition sponsored by Two Dogs, at the Thomas Kettle Gallery, Covent Garden, London, “Seconds in Mecca”, another solo exhibition sponsored by Snapple at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), and a collective exhibition, “Street Style” as well as many more. His work had been selected by the V&A for producing his designs in a postcard format for sale in the museum shop. Some of his works like Moona Lisa, THE CANS and BORN2BOMB are partly handsprayed and partly handprinted. They are all unique and are signed and numbered. Nick Walker has been granted the license to create designs for successful organizations like Adidas, Bristol City Council, Pinewood Studios for Philips commercial, Snapple Europe, London Science Museum and Peter Gabriel, for record label “Real World”. In addition, he has also worked on films like “Eyes Wide Shut” and “Incognito”, at Ealing Studios and “Judge Dredd” at Shepperton Studios and is also commissioned for films and commercials at Pinewood Studios.

ROBERT INDIANA Born September 13, 1928, Robert Indiana is an American artist, the last living one from the Pop Art movement which included Warhol and Lichtenstein. Indiana was born Robert Clark in New Castle, Indiana. One of the preeminent figures of American art since the 1960s, Robert Indiana has been a pioneer of assemblage art, hardedge abstraction and pop art. Over the past five decades, Indiana’s work has explored the power of abstraction and language, American identity and personal history. As a selfproclaimed “American painter of signs,” Indiana gained international recognition in the early 1960′s for employing the vernacular form of American road and shop signs, combining it with a sophisticated formal and conceptual approach that turned this familiar vocabulary into something entirely new. His distinctive rendering of LOVE, in paintings, sculptures and prints, has become an icon of 20thcentury art. Sculptures of the image can be found at many places around the world, most notably on Sixth Avenue (New York), at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (Indianapolis), in front of the Shinjuku I LAND Tower (Tokyo), a LOVE in Hebrew writing version at the Israel Museum (Jerusalem). ANDY WARHOL Andy Warhol (August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987) was an American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture and advertisement that flourished by the 1960s. After a successful career as a commercial illustrator, Warhol became a renowned and sometimes controversial artist. The Andy Warhol Museum in his native city, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, holds an extensive permanent collection of art and archives. It is the largest museum in the United States dedicated to a single artist. Warhol's art encompassed many forms of media, including hand drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, silk screening, sculpture, film, and music. He was also a pioneer in computergenerated art using Amiga computers that were introduced in 1984, two years before his death. He founded Interview Magazine and was the author of numerous books, including The Philosophy of Andy Warhol and Popism: The Warhol Sixties. He is also notable as a gay man who lived openly as such before the gay liberation movement. His studio, The Factory, was a famous gathering place that brought together distinguished intellectuals, drag queens, playwrights, Bohemian street people, Hollywood celebrities, and wealthy patrons. Warhol has been the subject of numerous retrospective exhibitions, books, and feature and documentary films. He coined the widely used expression "15 minutes of fame". Many of his creations are very collectible and highly valuable. The highest price ever paid for a Warhol painting is US$100 million for a 1963 canvas titled Eight Elvises. The private transaction was reported in a 2009 article in The Economist, which described Warhol as the "bellwether of the art market". Warhol's works include some of the most expensive paintings ever sold.

TOM WESSELMANN The Great American Nudes
Tom Wesselman is an American pop artist who specialised in found art collages. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was drafted into the Army for the Korean War. Afterward, he studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and later at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science, Art and architecture in New York City. While still at the Cooper Union Tom Wesselmann learned to paint, his initial purpose of going into art was to become a cartoonist. His early work was heavily influenced by the abstract expressionist painters, especially Willem de Kooning. His art became more popular in the 1960s and had his first oneman exhibition in 1962 at the Tanager Gallery, New York. After that, his art made it to several other exhibitions such as the Young America exhibition in 1965, Whitney Museum, New York. Beginning in the 1950s, he made collages from magazine clippings and found objects, often incorporating female nudes. Tom Wesselmann was best known for his “Great American Nudes” series. He died of complications following heart surgery, aged 73.

Sir PETER BLAKE One of the most important British pop art masters. He placed his name on the map after doing the artworks for the Beetles Seargant Pepper album in the swinging 60′s. During the late 1950′s, Peter Blake became one of the best known British pop artists. His paintings from this time included imagery from advertisements, music hall entertainment, and wrestlers, often including collaged elements. Peter Blake was included in group exhibitions at the Institute of Contemporary Arts and had his first solo exhibition in 1960. It was with the ‘Young Contemporaries‘ exhibition of 1961 where he was exhibited alongside David Hockney and R.B. Kitaj that he was first identified with the emerging British Pop Art movement. Peter Blake won the (1961) John Moores junior award for his work Self Portrait with Badges. He first came to wider public attention when, along with Pauline Boty, Derek Boshier and Peter Phillips, he was featured in Ken Russell’s film on pop art, Pop Goes the Easel, which was broadcast on BBC television in 1962. From 1963 Blake was represented by Robert Fraser which placed him at the centre of swinging London and brought him into contact with leading figures of popular culture.

JEFF KOONS Jeffrey “Jeff” Koons (born January 21, 1955) is an American artist known for his reproductions of banal objects produced in stainless steel with mirror finish surfaces. He lives and works in New York City and his hometown York, Pennsylvania. Koons’ work has sold for substantial sums of money including at least one world record auction price for a work by a living artist. The largest sum known to be paid for a work by Koons is Tulips which was sold for US$33,682,500 (£21,219,975) at Christie’s New York on November 14, 2012. Critics are sharply divided in their views of Koons. Some view his work as pioneering and of major arthistorical importance. Others dismiss his work as kitsch: crass and based on cynical selfmerchandising. Koons has stated that there are no hidden meanings in his works, nor any critiques.

FRANCIS BACON Francis Bacon displayed a totally original artistic voice in his paintings; while they were sometimes shocking, they always contained a heroic grandeur. Born in Ireland, Francis Bacon came to London in 1925. In 1945 he made a sensation when he exhibited his Visiting Christ at the bottom of the Crusifix, now in London’s Tate Gallery. His work was Expressionist in style, and his distorted human forms were unsettling. He developed his personal style and gloomy subject matter during the 1950s, when he achieved an international reputation. Aside from his unpleasant images of corrupt and disgusting humanity, Bacon deliberately subverted artistic conventions by using the triptych format of Renaissance altarpieces to show the evils of man, rather than the virtues of Christ. In Pope Innocent X he reworked a famous portrait by Velazquez into a screaming mask of angst. Bacon’s pictures are in many ways disturbing; primarily a figure or portrait artist, they show distorted people and faces, seemingly screaming out in pain. Uncomfortable to behold, they lay bare the inner core of a frightened and angry humanity. Expressionistic and at times surreal, Bacon’s paintings are bold and unforgiving interpretations of the human condition As well as canvases, about forty etchings that were made under Bacon’s direction exist.

LAWRENCE SCHILLER BORN in Brooklyn in 1936, Lawrence Schiller’s work began in junior high school in San Diego, when he received his first camera. Though a childhood accident left him with impaired vision in one eye, he became an obsessive photographer; even while attending Pepperdine College, his pictures had already appeared in Life, Sport, Playboy, Glamour, and the Saturday Evening Post. Lawrence Schiller’s interests and ambitions soon developed into a profession in print journalism, documenting major stories for glossy magazines all over the world, including Life, Look, Newsweek, Time, Paris Match, Stern, and the London Sunday Times. His iconic images of Robert F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Bette Davis, Barbra Streisand, Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali, and Madame Nhu, among others are tributes to his doggedness, ingenuity, and charm as well as to his technical proficiency. Perhaps nothing in Lawrence Schiller’s career proved more remarkable, though, than his collaboration with Norman Mailer — a friendship unique in American literary history. For nearly thirtyfive years the two worked closely together, on books including Marilyn (1973), The Faith of Graffiti (1974), Oswald’s Tale (1995), Into the Mirror (2002), and The Executioner’s Song (1979), for which Mailer won the Pulitzer Prize. Lawrence Schiller, who did much of the legwork, interviews, and research for Executioner’s Song, outmaneuvered numerous other reporters to gain exclusive access to the book’s subject, Gary Gilmore, and went on to produce and direct the awardwinning television miniseries based upon it, starring Tommy Lee Jones. Robert Hilmersson is an artist whose works are a chronicle of the world past and present. He explore subjects such as politics, social problems, pop culture and other big themes that come his way. His work is a juxtapositon of different elements and subjects, colors, cityscapes, graphic design, typography, trash and texture all render important roles in his work. Each painting has a central idea. Wheater it is human behavior, politics or war. The theme is life around us. He uses strong images to pull emotions out of the viewer. Not for shock value. Glamour artist Richard Zarzi is based in Cannes, which he considers his home. He is represented by Walton Fine Arts London. Zarzi realized that art had to turn its attention to the icons of modern times that captivate us, which in effect makes his work appeal to a wide range of taste. He uses his extensive knowledge of the fashion and marketing industry to warp the familiar popular iconic images we find daily in glossy magazines into contemporary art. The artist projects their images on canvas, crowned with a halo of light and materials that underline their natural charisma and make their beauty timeless, with the light suggesting an idea of spirituality. The highly original choice of media employed in his works render an immediate sense of sparkle and glamour, and we certainly have the impression of being in front of something really precious whilst looking at them. Zarzi recently held an event (“Kiss Me Kate”) entirely dedicated to Kate Moss at Maddox nightclub in Mayfair (London). Speaking of his muse Zarzi said: “Quality is timeless, and Kate Moss inspires my art to become timeless”. Zarzi is going to exhibit at the Cannes Film Festival 2013. The marriage of art and fashion (or vice versa) is certainly one made in Heaven – but luckily for us we have means to bring that heavenliness to Earth and in this respect Zarzi surely does an excellent work.
