Catalogues - MArchII thesis project
Binaries Opposed comprises of a collection of 6 'catalogues' I put together the as part of the studio brief and are all distinguished by colour. A recurring topic of 'poverty' and 'low quality of life' appearing between the catalogues formed the basis for my thesis topic - A teacher training facility.These 10x10cm pocket 'catalogues' compare Reykjavik, Iceland (MArch I project location) to Naples, Italy (MArch II project location). I aimed to explore similarities and differences through imagery grouped through colour, which are either found on the internet or through screenshots from studio group research pages, hence the (sometimes) blurry and pixilated imagery which all adds to the intentional randomised zoomed-in effect.
