Faking a Vacation at Coastes: A Sentosa Beach Club
Don’t get me wrong, I love my job, I am passionate about what I do and at the same time, it enables me to support my family and give them a comfortable life. But, sometimes, I wanted to take a break and spent a few days out of town - only my schedule wouldn’t allow. It’s the reason why corporate events and other business occasions held away from the corners of our office is somehow a vacation for me. It’s during those times when I wouldn’t have to wear my suit and tie and switch to a rather relaxed and comfortable outfit. Recently, my company organised a Thanksgiving party at one of the event spaces at Sentosa. Coastes, a beach club in the golden stretch of Sentosa’s Siloso Beach, is not anywhere near any other options in the area. In this article, allow me to share with you a story on how I faked a vacation at a famous Sentosa beach club. Our Thanksgiving party was already planned for at the beginning of the year. Only we haven’t decided yet where to hold it - and to be honest, I was the one who suggested the place during one of our management meetings. I’ve heard about Coastes from a friend who happens to frequent the venue for business meetings and small gatherings. Being in the Siloso Beach puts Coastes at a prime location. As you may not know, Siloso is the first beach that will greet you when you alight at the Beach Station of the Sentosa Express Monorail Service. Because it’s the nearest beach from the main island transport services, it’s obviously the most visited.
Siloso is the most commercialised beach in Sentosa and is home to a wealth of facilities from restaurants, souvenir shops, themed bars and clubs, including the Coastes. In addition to these, the beach also offers a wide range of watersports and beach activities such as kayaking, skimboarding, volleyball, cycling, and rollerblading to name a few. What really attracted us most to Coastes however, is, of course, the event space itself. Coastes has this exceptional, rustic charm and laid-back beach vibe that’s reflected in every detail of the space from the cosy lounging spaces to the generous servings of premium beers, spirits, and hearty beach food. It provided us with a great place to party while on Sentosa and somehow, it made me feel like I was transported away from the hustle and bustle of the city. All these add to the fact that Coastes offer attractive event packages that made the planning easier. With their picture-worthy backdrop, all we did was to create personal touches to give our guests a one-of-a-kind experience. So, if you’re like me who are looking to relax away from the busy life without actually going away from the city, then it seems corporate events as such would be a great opportunity to unwind - just make sure that it will be held in a place like Coastes!
