WHY YOU SHOULD START LEARNING THE CHINESE LANGUAGE


Not everyone knows that the most spoken language is actually Chinese, followed by Spanish, then English. Mandarin alone, which is just one of the language's many dialects have about 900 million of speakers all around the world and if you are to include other Chinese dialects, that is going to be around a billion of people.


Yes, there is that much people that speaks Chinese. Well, it is a given since China has a population of almost around a billion and a half something that you would not really expect since their country is only the fourth when it comes to geographical size.


So learning Chinese is really something that you would be able to get benefit from since there are many people who would be able to understand you, whether you are in the country or not. This can even help you secure more job opportunities, considering how China's economic growth progress in the past couple of years. It means that there will be more job opportunities in the country and international transactions that may be beneficial to some businessmen or workers specially that Chinese is widely spoken in many South East Asian countries like Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and even the Philippines.


If you happen to also have interest in terms of the culture and tradition of China then learning the language is your first step. China's culture is one of the richest there is, as well as one of the oldest in the planet.


Here in Singapore, there are many Chinese tutors and good Chinese tuition centers that you can learn a lot from. There are also Chinese enrichment or mandarin classes for kids available in many parts of Singapore. It might be a good idea to invest in your children and make them learn the language at a young age, so they will be come naturally good speakers when they grow up. In fact, learning a language while young can help your kids become more socially active.


It can also exercise their brain specially when it comes to memorization which is quite a very important skill needed not just in school, but even in their future jobs. If your family also travels a lot, especially in south East Asia, then there is a high possibility that you will meet people who also speak the same language, whether they are locals or not.


Learning Chinese does not mean that you will only be engaging in verbal communication. Written Chinese is also part of the courses offered by tutors. Though many people may think that learning the language is very hard, due to the writing system that they have.


Unlike other languages that makes use of phonetic writing, Chinese makes use of pictograms which symbolizes phrases and sentences, as well as ideograms, symbolizes more abstract ideas and concept, which both does not represent words and sounds in the language.
