[The Horizontality] A Study based on Andrea Branzi and Kikutake In this project, we want to explore the new relationship between land and sea; between nature and architecture. The building is an art to connect the sky and land; connect the land and sea, providing people a miraculous spacial feeling.

[Vertical City] Hainan Manmade Eco-island Design The structure and system of the nature world offer a new, fertile paradigm for urbanism. With the open possibilities of the new island, our scheme moves beyond the rigid binaries of the natural and man-made, passive and active, or city and landscape, to imagine a more hybeidized relationship between nature and culture. Considering the climate and weather environment in Hainan island, we choose to face the challenge of the extreme weather condition in Hainan island. Instead of organizing this island in a horizontal way, we want to create this Vertical City, in which we organize all the programs in a vertical way. Thus this island could be a sustainable city both in good weather and bad weather. And we could like to create a city not only for people to have a lersure during good weathers in Hainan, but also experience the extreme weather conditions in Hainan.

[Pencil Tower] Asset urbanism architecture design in New York. As the New York real estatei ndustry booms, there appears to be too much supply in the uber-luxury segment, residential and commercial, speculating that in the coming years there would be more supply than demand. 432 Park Avenue is proposed to be a skyscraper with multiple charter schools benefitting the city, the real estate industry as well as thef oreign investors. • Wealthy investors and major banks have been making windfall profits by using the little-known federal tax break (called the New Markets Tax Credit) to finance new charter schools. • A federal program known as EB-5 allows foreign investors to invest at least $1 million in certain job producing projects. The charter schools have become popular among these investors. • By combining the various credits, with the interest from the loan itself a lender can almost double his investment over these ven-year period.

[Origami Chair] Contemporary Furniture Design This project is inspired by the origami bird. The folding technique is a perfect way to creat something that is very simple but very interesting at the same time. Because we can simplify things into abstract geometric shapes and volumes. I want to design a bar stool using folding technique. So I first searched some origami games and try to use them as a way to design my stool. The stool is very tall and thin and is designed basic geometry shapes.
